Hôtel Panorama in Lourdes

The hotel is very well located, just a few steps away from the Sanctuary, which is probably its main advantage. The room was spacious and had a hairdryer, which was convenient.

However, despite being rated as a four-star hotel, it doesn’t really meet that standard in practice. The beds are extremely simple, with thin mattresses and very basic bedding — just a fitted sheet over the mattress. The towels are also quite thin.

Breakfast could definitely be improved. The coffee was of poor quality, and the selection was quite limited — mainly bread, ham, cheese, and some fruit that didn’t seem very fresh. Overall, it felt far below what you would expect from a four-star hotel.

Considering the price, it feels overpriced for what it offers. There are other hotels in Lourdes within a similar price range that provide much better quality, facilities, and breakfast.

In short, a convenient location, but the comfort and quality need significant improvement to justify the four-star rating and the price

Location prefect. Noise from room. Not sound proof. So you can hear the noise from outside even after midnight and you wake up before 7 due to the noise outside too!
Customer services variable: sometimes they treat you as stupid or a bother! We asked them to top up toilet tissue papers but it takes a while for them to realise there are no extra toilet tissue in the bathroom until they send someone to come up. Asked them to double check the mould on wall, the guy said he would come and look. At the end, we were told they were marks from luggages.
Room outdated, overpriced, carpet dirty.
carpet outside room also dirty. Light not welcoming.
Mould on wall and shower. Have to change room, which we did thanks to the staffs and after our compliant at 11pm the day before! However it took 3 staffs to handle this.
Second room- higher level. noisy.
Bed mattress hard, uncomfortable. Pillow non- existent
No pillow protector.unhygienic
Bedside light not working. No table.
Cleaners came every morning, around 9! too early. should really gives a head up when check in as we didn't realised this and forgot to put the Do not disturb sign!
However on our last day, we put the sign out. Saw the cleaners the next morning, they asked if they came in, we said no again. I believe if the check out times is at 12, then they should come after not before. As a 4 star hotel, they can easily note this down.
No idea if wifi is available. they didn't mention this at check in...
Breakfast- included with room price but definitely not worth it! Limited choices on hot/cold food. No salad. Fruits and vegs limited. Thin slices of fruits (1cm) make you wonder if you are eating the same pineapple (for example) for a few days straight! only 3 options of fruits, no apples or bananas
4 days stay- same food opions. Omelette ok. Eggs are raw, need to boil them (and they are placed near the hot food section) ! Bread unsliced. cereals options limited. Sausages poor. No proper tea. I believe there is only 1 coffee machine too. Not four star standard!
poor layout- food section beside the entry. again not hygienic and inefficient, especially if you are with the tour/tourists groups. Not confident in their dinner options so opted to eat out instead.
There are lots of good restaurants around.
Shower- difficult to control water temperature, Boiling water and freezing water within a few minutes in between! Not four star standard.
If you come from uk, you will know the standards of the likes of premier inn. This hotel is worse than premier inn.
Pictures on hotel website or booking.com aren't real.
They asked us how the stay was, we could only simile and said lovely- we do this only to get away from them.
So please avoid at all costs!
3 stars are the minimum. Personally I feel this is not 3 star either
