After a last minute booking with Heidi, a ski tour operator, we choose this hotel to stay. It’s perfect! Why? 1/ The staff are friendly, helpful and bilingual 2/ Our room for 2 adults and a 12-year old was excellent and we had privacy and space due to the 2 x bed locations. 3/ The Grange restaurant served delicious breakfasts and suppers plus their staff were attentive and friendly 4/ The walk to and from the slopes is close and the heated ski lockers are brilliant 5/ There are plenty of things for children to enjoy from table tennis, board games or an outdoor pool (which is open from 3pm-7.30pm) 6/ As the hotel is central, you’re a stone’s throw from ski equipment hire, restaurants and shops. If we return to Meribel, we’re rebooking to stay at this hotel!

Wow, cannot believe this was only a 3 star hotel. We have just spent a week here skiing. We stayed half board. We cannot fault the service, the quality of food, the room, the facilities and the staff attitude. The half board menu had a choice of two starters, mains and desserts plus a cocktail of the day. The quality and choice of the menu was excellent and nothing was too much to ask of the staff.
We read a recent review that said ‘the staff don’t like English’ well we found the opposite. We especially liked that when we attempted to speak a little French or asked the staff how to say something in French they were really helpful. The barman was particularly good.
We recommend this hotel to others, it is a great location and we have had a fantastic stay.
We will definitely be returning guests.

Our stay at Hôtel L’Eterlou was truly one of the highlights of our time in the French Alps. The location alone makes it exceptional. Being based in Méribel gives you seamless access to Courchevel, Val Thorens, and the entire Les 3 Vallées ski area, which made exploring different terrain incredibly easy and convenient. The hotel itself strikes a rare and beautiful balance. It somehow blends the chic, relaxed atmosphere of a stylish NYC lounge with the warmth and authenticity of a traditional wooden Alpine cabin. From the moment you walk in, the lounge areas invite you to slow down and unwind, with multiple seating spaces, games, and a welcoming, attentive staff that immediately makes you feel comfortable and well cared for. Our room was exactly what you hope for in a ski resort — cozy, thoughtfully designed, and perfectly suited to the mountain setting. One of the best features was the balcony overlooking the slopes and surrounding Alpine architecture. Waking up to that view each morning and watching the light shift across the mountains in the evening added something really special to the experience. The hotel’s location makes it incredibly easy to enjoy everything Méribel has to offer. The lifts are a short and manageable walk, allowing quick access to incredible skiing across Les 3 Vallées. At the same time, the hotel is close enough to the village center to enjoy après-ski, restaurants, and shopping without needing transportation, which made the entire stay feel effortless. Beyond the physical space, what really stood out was the atmosphere. After long days on the slopes, returning to the hotel felt peaceful and restorative. There is a calm, welcoming energy throughout the property that makes it easy to relax, whether you are sitting in the lounge, enjoying the mountain views, or simply winding down after skiing. Hôtel L’Eterlou offers the perfect combination of location, comfort, and charm. It is an ideal choice for travelers who want convenient access to world-class skiing while still enjoying an intimate, cozy, and authentically Alpine experience. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Méribel or exploring the Les 3 Vallées region.

The location is perfect and the outdoor pool / hot tub / sauna / steam room are a great end to a great day of skiing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were only there for two nights during ski season but found the room to be very comfy-cozy, the staff delightful and the food delicious. We only had breakfast and lunch but enjoyed both. I experienced an injury on the trip and the staff was very helpful in accommodating and making phone calls to help with my modified transportation needs. We hope to be back in March 2026!

DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL BECAUSE OF IT'S LOCATION. YOU WILL REGRET IT. First and the LAST time for us!!!! Definitely a 2 star Hotel.
First of all, a big frustration within this location.
Rooms are very very small! It is also very hot in the room and no air ventilation! No window. We have to open the terrace door at night to get some fresh air. The shower is not enough high and spacious. My husband could not fit with his height. The bed is really small. If you are over 1.90cm, dont dare to book because you will not fit into the room. You can not walk easily in the room. The room is having an electrical leakage and we have informed the reception. They have sent their technical staff to check the room with a small test machine. I am getting electrical shock and even seeing the blue light of it with huge sound. The technical electrician has seen it. Since I am pregnant and got afraid to stay in the room because I don't feel safe: no one helped because they say the hotel is fully booked. What a shame! The director of the hotel did not look into our faces to say sorry about the situation. Even The hotels Director ghosted us in teh reception!!!! That is a big shame!! Very rude. He did not help us to give any spare room even though we shared we are afraid and I don't feel safe or me and my baby.
My husband injured his shoulder and asked the reception to have some ice and they had nothing to heal him as first aid kit. They gave him some ice in the napkin.
The hotel has no value for safety I think.
The breakfast is also not an international one. Unfortunately you do not even have any tomato or salad. The scrambled egg is mixed with the boiled eggs... No fresh teas, same small things everyday.. on the other hand, the lunch and the dinner is quite good...

SPA is very small. Swimming pool is not hot enough and not clean!
Terrible guest service from the Hotel Director.
The only thing what is good is the reception staff who tried to help and the Barmen at the bar.

We travelled with Crystal during Feb 25 half term. We were on the later Chambery flight and so arrived at the hotel late on Saturday. Probably because of this we got two rooms in the basement/lower ground floor - 150/1. If you get offered 150/1 do not accept them. Both rooms are opposite the gondola station and next to the hotel garage. No view whatsoever of course but we could live with that. Every night from around 5 am and peaking at 6 it sounded as if beer barrels/luggage or something was being rolled over the floor above. When we mentioned to the hotel they investigated and thought it was something to do with the heating. Seemed unlikely but in fairness the night after we told them it did seem to improve only to come back again. We complained to Crystal and the rep offered us £200 to spend on a mountain cafe lunch but it never materialised. Otherwise the hotel is exactly what you’d expect from a three star French hotel. Food adequate, breakfast adequate, rooms ok, no bath in our rooms just a shower. Clean. Nice bar. Great location for skiing.

We spent five nights at l'Eterlou to ski the Trois Vallees. To be frank, I just picked it off the internet because it had an outdoor pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. But it turned out to the be the best location in Meribel Centre. This is a true "ski hotel", for those who like the skiing culture and want amenities that work for the sport. Breakfast is hearty and delicious fuel for the day. There is an amazing boot room where you have a locker that has built in boot and helmet dryer, making things easy in and perfect in the morning. The staff is great! The bartender is a gem. They arrange transport to and from the train station with ease and are prompt and professional in communications. And at day's end its location, location, location. Out the door and walk to the lifts in minutes. Ski down exhausted at day's end and you are in your hotel with no hassle or stairs in 3 minutes. Its remarkable. The hotel restaurant is excellent, we ate there twice and had great local and international cuisine accompanied by a well curated wine list. (I'm a wine importer, so I know good lists and mediocre ones, and this one is very good and well priced). The rooms are well done and functional for the ski culture; the beds comfortable and the bathrooms modern and a step up. Highly recommended.

Great staff! Polite and very helpful🫶 the rooms are fine and clean. My room was a bit noisy overnight, I think I was near the boilers. I didn't ask to change rooms because I had earplugs, but I needed to get up for my transfer at 4am and was concerned about wearing the earplugs in case I slept through my alarm. Breakfast was good for me (eggs, bacon, and croissants) with a variety of meats, cheese, breads and cereals. The location is perfect for skiing at Meribel and close to all bars and restaurants for Aprés ski (including La Folie Douce), with ski hire yds away if needed with very reasonable and friendly people in the shops nearby. The food in the restaurant was good

Fantastic Hotel in Meribel for Short Stays
I've stayed in a few places in Meribel. This was one of the best. Rooms are quite small, but ours came with a balcony and nice bathroom. The hotel is opposite the main lifts in Meribel centre. The hotel also (and I would say unusually) has an amazing heated outdoor pool, with sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi (wasnt working). Breakfast was really good as well. Compared to other 3/4*'s in Meribel, this place was good value considering all the amenities. Will try and stay again if I go back to Meribel.
