TV was out of order.

For a hotel that charges almost 400€ a night, the size of the room isn’t even the main issue. What’s unacceptable is that they take away the AC remotes and refuse to let guests use the air-conditioning because it’s winter. The room had zero ventilation — we woke up in the middle of the night unable to sleep because it was so stuffy. We tried opening the windows, but then it was impossible to sleep due to all the street noise and people chatting at 2am. I’m all for conserving energy and water but not at the expense of losing sleep from the lack of ventilation.
There is also no soundproof at all from your room to the hallway outside so expect to hear every single movement from your neighbours. Overall, extremely uncomfortable and not what you’d expect at this price point. Book somewhere else.

The hotel is centrally located, with modern, spacious rooms. The first room we were offered had a broken air conditioner, replaced by a very noisy air conditioner. After we complained, they changed our room to one that met 4-star standards.

Can you imagine?! After checking in, there were two piles of feces in the bathroom and they hadn't cleaned it up! ! ! ! And the hotel refused to refund me! ! ! ! ! This is truly a weird hotel, avoid it! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

We stayed here over Christmas Eve and day during our trip to Strasbourg. It's in an ideal location and walkable to all the sites. The front desk staff were lovely and very helpful during our stay. The hotel itself was well appointed and very clean. The only negative I experienced was that I could feel the springs in the firm mattress but I was still able to get a good rest. I would recommend Hotel Gutenberg to anyone and if I find myself back in Strasbourg I will stay again!

Perfectly located 4 star hotel at the center of Strasbourg. Close to everything and everywhere that a tourist would like to go. I would like to thank especially Massimo for his proactive approach when we had a small issue with our room.At Christmas time, they were serving Gluhwine at the reception which was highly appreciated in the cold days. The rooms are good, spacious and newly decorated. The breakfast is also sufficient and you get almost everything that a hotel would serve at the breakfast. In general I totally recommend Hotel Gutenberg.

The room is nice and well-equipped. The toilet and bath are separate, which is good. Behind the hotel is the Strasbourg Cathedral, and the surrounding transportation is convenient. The hotel service is also very good.
