Les Balcons du Savoy, Chamonix1 / 30

Chamonix, 179 rue Mummery (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The balcony view was great and the service was good, but the room itself was a bit old. The bed sagged in the middle, and the living room sofa looked quite outdated. The kitchen was functional, but the dishwasher smelled. Overall, it was comfortable and spacious. Chamonix supermarket sells dumplings, which is a nice touch~
I was very satisfied with the hotel I stayed in Chamonix this time. From the balcony, I could see the snow-capped mountains, the Aiguille du Midi, and Mont Blanc up close. I even saw the golden mountain at night. There's a large lawn in front of the hotel. I heard that in winter, you can ski directly into the hotel. It's also the landing spot for parachutes. It's about a 15-minute walk from the cable...
It is a hotel you will remember all your life The view from the balcony is magnificent. It is like you watch a movie. "Matterhorn" from the VIP seats.
Fantastic views of the mountains. It was nice to have a kitchen so we didn't have to eat out all the time. Friendly staff, and comfortable rooms.
Stayed for 6 nights, with only one cleaning service. The good thing is that the two-bedroom apartment is relatively large, with a nice view. You can see the snow-capped mountains as soon as you open the door.
It is right next to a wide plateau where kids can run and play. Not far from the town area where you can buy and eat. 10-15 mins to the train station (Mer de Glace) and Gondola place to Aiguille du Midi. Staffs were VERY kind. Enjoyed our stay here. Free parking available.

The hotel is easy to find and has a public car park next door. The car park can be very busy as it serves a number of local establishments. The staff are friendly and speak good English. The rooms are large (ours was actually 2 rooms with 2 double beds) and very comfortable. Be wary of leaving the windows open for any amount of time as the room quickly fills with exhaust fumes from the passing...
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful.
Lovely hotel with extra bonus of own balcony with seating which looked onto sun coming up over mountain
Simple convenient hotel with okay rooms, good breakfast and amazing views of the mountains. About 20 minutes walk to Chamonix or use the free bus tickets the hotel provides
Overall stay was good, just that the bed sheet was not clean, feeling itch whole night when put the duvet on.
Cosy place with friendly staff This is a cosy little hotel in a quiet area, but still close to ski locations and you city center by bus from right outside the door. Excellent service and very flexible staff. Have stayed here many times myself and will for sure come back!

I believe this was originally a single luxury home converted to an inn. Over the years the owners have spent much effort into brining it up to three star hotel status. They do not appear to stop adding whatever improvements they can. The result is a very charming place with nice amenities and character. Excellent location that might be described as the rim of the town center. The ST. Michel church...
This hotel is the best in terms of owners, staff, kindness, beauty, charm, food, accommodation, helpfulness, and so much more. We consider ourselves very lucky to stay here. The room was charming, and the balcony with it gave us many sublime moments of mountain memories. It was quiet, too, yet central, steps away from the main pedestrian area and shops and restaurants. We already plan to return...
We had a wonderful stay! Philip, the host, was absolutely fantastic – incredibly friendly, full of local knowledge, and genuinely funny. He made the experience feel really personal and welcoming. The hotel itself is in a perfect location, right in the heart of town, which made everything super convenient. There’s on-site parking, which is a huge bonus, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of...
Really enjoyed our stay in resort and this hotel which located just off main shopping and restaurant/bar area. Owners very friendly. Some building work going on during our stay, but managed to get into room after climbing over wet concrete 😀. Thanks owners.👍
The room is very clean, the heating is sufficient, the boss has a very good service attitude and has a very cute puppy. The hotel's balcony has a nice view, the bathroom is clean and large, and there is a small bottle of mineral water prepared in the room. Overall, it is highly recommended. Considering the price, it can be said to be a great value for money!
The property was quaint and the owners were both thoughtful and assisted with all our needs. Perfect location and definitely will be visiting again soon.

Beautiful Chalet for 15 of us in a beautiful Ski town. Lots of space for everyone with bedrooms having on suite bathrooms. Definitely worth every penny.
One of the most incredible experiences I have had. The location, amenities, cleanliness and communication were amazing. This place has everything you could imagine and more. I certainly intend to return as I felt at home in a magical place
The chalet is nice to watch and the view on the mountain is exceptional - chalet Granit. We like the vast living room - kitchen with a 270 degree view. Just sit next to the fireplace and enjoy the view! Miss Wang has welcomed us warmly and explained us all the appliances.
Best house I ever had on a vacation We were 7 friends together rented What ever you need on a holiday this house had a spa jacuzzi pool sauna plus plus Marc and Malinda were very helpfull from the first phone call till we left what ever we needed they helped us Highly recommended Would of given 10 stars if we can Thanks again Marc and Malinda Shlomo

Confortable hotel, around 25 min walk from the town centre or 5 min drive. It’s a good option to save some money. Staff was very nice and accommodated our request for a bigger room due to an extra person with a minimal surcharge. Breakfast a bit small, bathroom in the room would benefit from a renovation.
Very affordable and next to busstop . Not many amenities in the room and tiny . Great sunrise from window
Nice staff, lovely view from our room, warm and comfortable, 20 min walk into the heart of Chamonix. Would recommend for a short weekend stay.
Very quaint and homey, perfect for two travelers looking for a cheap stay near the Chamonix area. Fabienne and the rest of the staff were kind and accommodating, evidenced by them working with us when we encountered bus and flight delays. Rooms were cleaned daily. Additionally, you have the option to pay the first day you arrive or the last (if you plan on taking advantage of the hotel breakfast, it...
Superb find Excellent stay at a lovely old French Hotel with exceptionally friendly service and a great quiet location only 20 min walk to Chamonix Centre or take the train.
A nice family run hotel on the outskirt of chamonix. Approximately 10 min walk to the town centre. The room is not luxurious but has got what you need. The staff is kind and speaks both french and english. They happily hive you advice for actibities in the area.

This hotel was one of the highlights of our trip to France. Stunning views, great service and beautiful rooms.
This hotel is overrated on this site from our experience. We stayed in 4 hotels over two weeks in Switzerland Italy and France and this rates third. Shabby landscaping greets guests, rooms feel outdated, bathroom products should be upgraded to something more suitable at this price point. Food was ok, again overrated we thought. Staff was stiff. Overall disappointing despite the mointain views.
What a great place. Probably one of the best meals of our lives with the chef’s dinner. Amazing. Chamonix is beautiful.
I should start by telling you all that I rated the restaurant here 5 stars. My review is coloured by the simple fact that I regard €400 for a room to be fairly expensive, especially as we stayed 3 nights. This is the sort of charge I would pay for a very high level hotel in the UK with an excellent breakfast and dinner on one night. This made our stay quite expensive and for that I would expect a...
The scenery was beautiful, the rooms were clean, and the service was excellent. The restaurant had a natural theme and the food was also quite good. We stayed in a suite this time. It had two bathrooms, and the living room could be converted into a sofa bed. The rooms were separate; if you're two people, a deluxe or standard room would be sufficient. The only thing to note is that carrying large...
Great location (steep hill made us thin even with Savoyard food). Perfectly quiet rooms for sleeping. Great breakfasts. Super close to Brevant/Flegere lifts

Would like to recommend for winter stay. Ski bus is 100 meters away. Train station is also close to the hotel. Breakfast is amazing.
Highly recommended. Comfortable room with stunning view of THE Aiguille du Midi. Fabulous food in the restaurant. Good choice for breakfast options. Convenient for easy access to Chamonix using bus or train for a short ride.
Stayed here for a wedding at the hotel this weekend.. the whole experience was amazing! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was great, the setting is beautiful and the hotel just delivers on every front. Would totally recommend!
Great service, nice staff, cleaning rooms every day and I also got extra pillows because I'm pregnant. Pool area was clean and a lot of sun chairs to relax in. Didn't use jacuzzi but it looked ok. Breakfast was nice with all the cheeses and fruktsallad with yoghurt. Not in city of Chamonix but buss and train goes right outside. Recommend!
Great time staying here. Staff were lovely, enjoyed the Sauna twice. Sauna is a good temperature, unlike some hotels which have them a bit too cold. Table tennis and the bar were good, pool table has room for improvement. They even accommodated a small brekkie for us for our alpine starts on two days. Great views from the hotel.
very nice hotel, beautiful view and garden. best location for us to hike. free train ticket to go to the city. bad wifi connection and the room is quite small.

Great location opposite the train station and central Chamonix. The receptionist was very helpful in giving us great advice and complementary train tickets to access the slopes. Room is quite small but clean and comfy. If your after apre ski - there is a very popular bar built into the hotel which is quite loud from 5pm-8pm. But the music always went off at 8pm and you couldn’t hear it on the second...
Perfect location opposite the train station, 2 minute walk from main shops and restaurants which meant it was quiet. Lovely friendly staff. It’s obviously newly renovated so some loose ends they are just tying up but we really liked it. Small rooms and is normal in hotels in Europe but enough space for two!
We stayed at this lovely hotel in Chamonix at the beginning of September, in room 205 this time. The first time was last year! We highly recommend places like this if you’re looking for authenticity. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and the rooms are modern and comfortable. Thank you to the entire team for the great service—we truly felt at home in your hotel. Izabela and Kasper
Really nice hotel in the heart of Chamonix centre. Nice interior design in the room we lived in and apparently PERFECT noice isolation, because we were not once disturbed by the best after ski Chamonix has to offer just two floors below our window. The personnel was greasy and offered first class service and the food was magnificent.
Stayed at this gem of a hotel, not far from the main train station and 10 min walk to the bus terminal. A very good location, shops and restaurants are a plenty. The hotel is quite ok and we had a fairly big room, bed was comfy, decor was ok, bathroom a little antiquated, breakfast was ok but the dining room was dimly lit.

The place was wonderful, the staff was really helpful and friendly, the morning breakfast was very classy
The hotel has beautiful views and very close to the lift La Praz. The room was clean and sunny. Our main issue was the poor quality of mattresses, especially on a child bed, which were super tough! Wi-fi was spotty in one room.
Fantastic location with beautiful views. Lovely, smaller, cosy chalet style hotel. Easy 5 min access into Chamonix by train or bus. Lovely breakfast. Helpful staff.
Great hotel very comfortable with a good location. People very friendly Would not hesitate to come back there
I highly recommend at this property if you are looking for quiet classy stay witch is in a peaceful area of Chamonix. The accommodations were aligned with the mountain environment and the staff was awesome!
Staff are super polite and helpful for our inquiries regarding our chamonix experience. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at L'Oustalet. It is in a quiet street only 5 mins walk from the busy centre of Chamonix, the bus and train stations. It has free parking! Good value for money And good location, just a little over 5min walk from ski shuttles.
The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the hotel itself was terrific! Would love to return for another visit in the future!
I stayed 2 nights and I’m in love it’s so beautiful it’s an amazing 3 star hotel. Lots of wardrobe space, no fridge but I put my water in the balcony 😂 ❄️ They lady offered to get me a kettle and they have hot water on the bar in the evening if you want to make a drink. The beautiful tea room is a nice place to have a tea coffee cake 🍰

The apartment was well equipped. Comfortable beds and very well maintained. I really like this place it was a great find I would really like to spend a week here in the summer for biking season and to take advantage of the very large deck. Becky the contact person was very helpful and responsive. This was a great experience.
Wonderful view from the balcony!
Gaillands North was superb. The apartment was spotlessly clean and spacious and light. The views are spectacular and the terrace was a wonderful place to sit and just look at Mont Blanc. The location overall is superb both near the lake and easily accessible to the town. Bob was really friendly and helpful as our host and we loved our time there.

So peaceful and a memorable walking trail with the family.
Exceptional location. Cool, vintage-looking hotel. Rooms are very oldschool, which is cool. Bathrooms should have followed the same style.
Staying in a hotel in the mountains above Chamonix, accessible only by a quaint train (30 minutes) where you can go on incredible hikes or just relax on the patio and stare at the glorious mountains... well, it doesn't get better than that. Everyone on the staff was attentive and nice, and the family room was perfect for my husband, myself, and our teenage daughter (who got her own space). We loved...
This place was just unbelievable. The views, the charm, the hospitality, and all right be a glacier in the alps. I can’t say enough about this place. We stayed one night with our teenage children and had a blast. Hiked a few trails nearby, saw the museum, enjoyed the sun from the deck, saw the ice cave, and enjoyed some lovely meals. If you can add this to your travel stops and stay the night.
This is up at the top near the glacier. It’s very old. There was a wedding going on when I was there which seems like a cool idea. It says it was build more than 100 years ago for the first climbers. It has been renovated. It’s in a great spot and has a restaurant. It’s pretty cool.
Fabulous place to stay. Enchanting train ride up the mountain, straight into reception to be received warmly by Amy, who gave us the rundown on everything we could do. What a star she is! After exploring the area, the ice cave and the amazing views, as a group of 6 friends we were very well looked after by Elisabeth and team over supper and a "few" drinks. My son and I stayed here for a weekend of skiing in February. It is a very comfortable and pleasant hotel with excellent service, very nice rooms, and a wonderful little spa. Easy walking distance from the Grandes Montets lifts. Very nice atmosphere and the owners are very nice. My son fell in the lift parking lot, and the owner kindly offered to wash his ski pants. Really lovely. Highly recommended...
Friendly owners. Our room was quite small with little privacy as the one window/door to the outside faced the dining and common area in the garden where the children were playing. Our room was also quite hot with no way to cool it other than opening the door to the shared garden. Plenty of parking and a nice part of the world to visit.
