Not great value for money, and the room was small.

The location is great- staff is lovely- hotel is charming. The room was a bit small and the shower even smaller. Aside from that- great overall.

The hotel was a good surprise. We had a cozy room but it was enough to host our family with 2 small kids.
The staff was fantastic and very helpful.
The hotel location is very convenient, close to the Perrache train station (walkable) and with plenty of restaurants close by. We had a very comfortable stay.

Nice area, very nice hotel, friendly staff. It's strange that there was no closet, but there were hangers in the bathroom. Breakfasts were delicious, even if the selection was limited.

Good location for food. Quite a walk to the metro. Carpark is pricy at €40/- per day and located a short walk from hotel.

It's in a very convenient location, just under a 5-minute walk from the station.
The interior is clean and the decor appears to have been updated.
I wanted to catch an early morning bus, so I was very grateful that someone was at the front desk 24 hours a day.
It's compact, only 10 minutes away for a solo traveler, and considering the location and price, I'd still like to stay here again.

Good choice for an inexpensive hotel in Lyon. Good location. Simple clean and tidy rooms, courteous staff. No fridge in room and the bathroom while clean and tidy was 1970s vintage with shower in bath. You get what you pay for and I would recommend. Family rooms also a good option.

AC works well. Location is excellent, close to all forms of transportation as well as neighborhood restaurants. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The building is a bit older but well-kept. All in all, I am glad I stayed at Du Simplon.

The best thing about this hotel was the accessibility. It was close to the station, which was convenient for me as I had to roll a heavy suitcase. The room was a little small, but it was enough for a single person. One thing that bothered me was that the bathtub wasn't clean. I was tired from walking so much, so I looked for a hotel with a bathroom, but I ended up not being able to use it, which was disappointing.
