The standard of service has declined; this hotel no longer deserves its 5 stars: torn pillow, the wall by the window completely crumbling (room 206), damaged door frames, and very expensive parking (€30 per night). We had an exceptional stay at Villa Florentine and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Set in a stunning renovated convent, the room was impeccably clean and the staff consistently attentive. Location is very good , hotel is very poor with regards to the price . Breakfast is low than poor and the rooms smelly shits .

I had a very good night's sleep at this hotel. It's very well located in relation to the hospital (10-minute walk). Easy access. Parking is available on the surrounding streets. The welcome was warm. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent.

We arrived at 10:00 a.m. to drop off our bags and enjoy Lyon before our 3:00 p.m. check-in. The hotel, which is very beautiful and easily accessible from the city center by public transport, offers drinks in the lobby—a positive. However, when we returned at 3:00 p.m., the glasses we had used in the morning were still there, which demonstrates a certain lack of attention to service and cleanliness...

We stayed there with our little puppy. The staff had kindly arranged a room that’s close to the elevator. Room was spacious and neat too. Free parking on the street, but no onsite private parking which is a shame. We’d stay again.

Good. Clean and tidy, with complete facilities. It's a bit far from the subway station, but 4 minutes from the bus station. But overall it's acceptable, slippers and mineral water are provided

A magnificent and completely renovated hotel. It has an elegant and cozy atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive, and the breakfast is delicious, featuring local products. My room was very pleasant: chic, comfortable, and with superb bedding. I highly recommend it if you're visiting the Brotteaux district!

I had a great stay at Hotel Charlemagne. The location near Perrache made getting around Lyon really easy, and the staff were warm and helpful throughout my visit. My room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view. The breakfast and cozy atmosphere made it a really enjoyable base.

The hotel is in a great location, very close to Perrache train station. Getting here from Lyon Part-Dieu train station is also super convenient; you can take the T1 tram directly, which takes about 20 minutes. The breakfast offered by the hotel is good, with tasty bread and cheese. It's also easy to get to Lyon's Old Town from the hotel; just take the metro, transfer once at Bellecour, and get off...

"Not impressed with this hotel. The last two days have not been cleaned once, like they totally forgot about room 604. Dust bins not emptied, towels not replaced... felt like we were staying in a cheap hostel instead. Staff seemed nice enough, but clearly need to sort out the housekeeping. Not likely to be recommending this place anytime soon."
