I enjoyed my one night stay in this little hotel in Lyon. I stayed in a single room which was compsct but adequate for a solo traveller if you are used to European standards. Check-in was easy. They held our bags before our room was ready. The place had been recently renovated and is in great shape. Very personable and excellent service. I didn’t have the breakfast because I don’t drink coffee and found a boulangerie where I adored the croissants and the quiche. It looked adequate when I walked by Highly recommend.

Stayed two nights in October. The service was fantastic, they even humored my bad french :) the location can't be beat, right near many of the sights, and easy walk or bike ride everywhere. It was very quiet, even with the windows open and lots of fresh air for us to enjoy. The breakfast was delish. We would definitely stay here again!

The lobby was the prettiest part of the hotel and the reception was kind. However, the cleanness was not to the standard that there was ants in the toilet and rust spot on the towel rack. The location was well connected but very noisy on Saturday night (even till 2am).

Really great stay at Le Republik! I don’t think you can beat this location. It was central and allowed us to visit almost everything on foot. The staff were all so nice and helpful. The hotel is beautifully decorated and I enjoyed the lounging area. They provide a water machine with still and sparking water. The room was on the smaller size but this is to be expected in this area and in France - I did not find the size that different than in the other hotels that I have stayed in during our trip. Merci beaucoup!

Hotel is in a great location for exploring Lyon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Just be prepared for some noise at night as it is on a busy street with bars and restaurants open late.

Very convenient location with helpful and friendly staffs.
The single room however is so cramped you'd think it's a Hobbit hole! The door can't even fully open and one has to turn sideways to get in the shower. The toilet is so small you'd better be less than 70kg in order to fit in the slot!
For the price €140 per night, there's many better options in the area.

Noisy but central location
If you have a room facing the street it is so noisy from very early morning till evening. The windows are not reducing any noise.

I would not recommend the breakfast. It was not even close to being worth the money. Instead go to a bakery around the corner and get something better and much cheaper.

The rooms are very small but have what is needed. And the location is well connected to public transport and sights around the town.

The staff speaks English sufficiently.
