Fantastic cathedral, wonderful colored windows, an impressive building... indescribable, you must see it with your own eyes! :-)
If you are passing to Metz and you are still never come, so be there absolutely a turn.
The cathedral is magnificent with its stained-glass windows of chagall, his Graoully, at night it is beautifully illuminated.

Dark in the lower part, huge stained glass windows to the top... Best way to make you raise your head to contemplate these beautiful colors and detailed drawings.
The stained glass windows of Chagall in perfect condition !
Not to be missed if you are passing through Metz !

The great cathedral in the French city of Metz is called St Etienne. It was consecrated in 1552, after being under construction for several centuries. We toured the cathedral, with its magnificent stained glass windows and one of the highest naves in the world.
In the city's most beautiful building, but inside I was not allowed. Probably looked like a Russian :))
Beautiful cathedral. Open for public. The front gate and the window above are awesome. Nice cafes are in the area around the cathedral.

We were pleasantly surprised at how much there is to see in Metz, France. Beautiful city and the cafe by the Cathedral was nice to sit outside and see the great view.
The beautiful cathedral city of Metz striking the inside where it is so high you almost can't see the end (if there is very little lighting). If you are in Metz is a must-stop if you're passing worth a stop.
The Metz cathedral is tremendously impressive from its position on the hilltop, especially when viewed at night from the Comedy Square across the river. You absolutely must see the inside of the Cathedral, at the time one of the highest-ceilinged of the German Empire.
