Very good location and easy to locate :)
Centrally located in Old.town Merz, and walk to all places.
Centrally located in Old.town Merz, and walk to all places.
We were there as a family passing through. The rooms are a bit dated, but extremely clean. The location is absolutely central. The service is very friendly. I needed an extra blanket, which I received immediately. The breakfast is excellent. There's a wide selection.
Despite glossy reception, this hotel needs a refurb internally. The breakfast, although plentiful, had 'hot' food which was not hot, and the bacon was under-cooked. Could have been good value for money if that were rectified. Our room was laid out with apparently no thought that one bed was too close to a wall to get out, although there was ample space to rectify that, too!
It seems the best hotel in Metz. The hotel is very clean but a little outdated now. The amenities were average and the bedding was not so comfortable. The facilities are good and breakfast is also nice. The location is amazing in the heart of metz with everything around and a mall just beside the hotel. Overall Good experience

Bad beds, bad blankets, lighting from the parking lot is very disturbing
The room is quite big, but the surrounding area is fenced off due to municipal construction. It took me a long time to find the entrance.
Staff at reception were very helpful. The bedroom was as expected in a Mercure and the bathroom of a reasonable size. Pillows were however too thin and it was rather hot at night with heavier duvets still in use despite the Spring weather. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, where staff were again very helpful. The bread rolls at breakfast were disappointing; surely a good baguette should be available...
Very nice and accommodating - breakfast was OK but not great; their English was great
This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many of Metz’s main attractions. The staff are super dilligent, helpful, and friendly. I also really appreciated the onsite parking, and there were more than enough lots to go around. Breakfast was high quality, and I particularly liked the station where I could make my own fried eggs. The room was comfortable, and there was even a sparkling...
Sign to locked car park is on hotel forecourt, not visible from side road. Five minutes walk from historic centre. Quiet.

Perfect stop over between Paris and Germany. Very comfortable bed in a spacious room. Will keep in mind for future trips.
It's my second stay in this hotel when I was on business trip in this area. It is not located in the city center, but for business very practical. They have a big free parking lot in front of the hotel. The restaurant is really good with a nice relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and the hotel rooms are spacious and clean. It is also very quiet. I would stay there again if I am around the...
Good stopoff on a long journey. This business hotel is a bit dated but surprisingly good under the surface. Welcoming helpful professional staff. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast very good. Nice big room but bathroom is a bit dark.
Strong A/C. Comfortable bed. The room is spacious. We stayed here a few times because it's close to my daughter's school. The front desk lady manager and Wyatt were very helpful. The dinner at restaurant was delicious. The dessert was the most delicious one during our two months stay in France.
Great stay, clean hotel, nice people and good breakfast.
Very pleasant, efficient and attentive staff. Impeccable cleanliness and comfort of the room, perfect bedding. The breakfast buffet was magnificent: a very large choice of fresh and high quality foods. Establishment that we recommend without hesitation, and to which we will return with great pleasure! Thank you to the whole Metz team!

Charming hotel with a very attentive staff! Our pet was welcomed with lots of affection and treats. We will definitely be back.
The rooms were large, but unfortunately, the silicone sealant in the bathroom had obviously been broken for some time, and the water damage was already visible. The service at the reception desk was super friendly. We didn't opt for breakfast.
We really didn’t expect the hotel to be located in such a beautiful park. Surrounded by historic buildings. Accor have converted a sticking period building, the former Citadel into a very welcoming and well run hotel. Stylish decor. Well designed and equipped rooms with very quiet and efficient air conditioning. Very professional and welcoming receptionist. We would recommend dining at the hotel....
The location is excellent for exploring the old town. The rooms are above average in size but a bit dated.
A former military stronghold from 1558, this is an amazing hotel located 5 minutes from the historic town center. My room was huge and nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. Nice views to the park across from the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Nicola was especially helpful and even gave me a short history of the town. One of the most unique hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are impeccably...

Fantastic location, parking a plus, breakfast very good, would definitely stay again
Perfect location, friendly service and good people. Location is the key, very close to city center and good selection at breakfast! Cons: Rooms and bathrooms are a bit small.
The hotel is ideal for exploring the city, with everything within walking distance or a free shuttle bus to the city center. The hotel staff is very professional and friendly; we received excellent advice on sightseeing, etc. A wonderful discovery of Metz and a warm welcome!
Close to the train station, the hotel room is not big but ok.

I had a fantastic stay here! The location is absolutely perfect right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient to walk around for shopping and exploring the best local eateries. The room was spotless and well-maintained. I especially loved the spacious bathroom and the super comfortable bed, which ensured a great night's sleep. Everything Highly recommended for anyone looking for convenience...
Good option for the hotel in the city center. Room was clean and quite
The room is in the city center, very convenient for going out and there are many restaurants around. We were lucky enough to find a restaurant with good food. It is only a ten-minute walk from the train station.
Hotel needs a refresh but staff make it 5* Parking in nearby public garage which was fine and with a special rate.
Nicely located in the city center. The team of the hotel is very friendly. Hotel would need a bit of an updated as the room isn’t nicely layout. Room relatively small. But in general nice experience.
The location is excellent, right in the city center. Acces to the hotel by car on a Saturday afternoon is virtual impossible.  The invoice for our stay was overly complicaties

Nice and quiet hotel, clean room, friendly staff, literally stuck to the train station so perfect in every way.
Very kind staff! I would say the overall hotel is dated and the ac doesn’t work great. All in all though it was a fine hotel.
Room was tidy but had a musty smell and was tired looking. The breakfast was distinctly average and the parking not the best. However the location was ok and near the town centre.
Ibis is very close to the train station so easily accessible. Friendly staff, English speakers can be comfortable they will be understood.
Comfortable hotel adjacent to the station. Good breakfast, friendly helpful staff, comfortable beds.
Does what it says on the tin - simple hotel and a good breakfast. Very helpful lady at reception who told us everything we needed to know.

Stoped there on two nights. On the way to and from the Italian Dolomites. The hotel was clean and tidy if perhaps passed its best. The continental breakfasts were more than adequate.
Great little hotel which is so convenient with small car park, street parking, easy to walk into the lovely centre of Metz and a riverside outlook. Staff and service were great, hotel was clean. Lastly they changed my booking date after I made an error, without a fuss, although they didn’t need to. What great service!
We only stayed 1 night. The hotel was good and in a good location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good clean and comfortable room.
We booked for a double roome with 2 beds, it is a very small room (yes, I knew this in advance) but since we only stayed for 1 night only. that was fine. If we have two big suitcases and we need to unfold both, we need to find our own arrangements. Anyhow, in general, the breakfast service was good! The reception desk was very kind and helpful. The location of the hotel is not far from city center...
Quick stopover Straightforward overnight stay. Bed was comfy. Good breakfast. Some areas a little tired.
For business trips, the hotel is very conveniently located, close to the city of Metz, and very convenient for travel. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and has good service, which is worth recommending.

Convenient location, nice rooms, helpful and friendly staff (Claude was great).
Clean but worn. Good considering the low price.
What I liked was that the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating as my husband was recovery from a heat stroke during our stay.
Very basic accommodation. Clean, but limited facilities. The rooms can be quite loud due to the train nearby, going all night.

It was clean enough. Only the toilet had a bit of a smell. Hallways are a bit outdated. Otherwise, one of the more budget hotels, had everything we needed, convenient location close to the centre. Staff was friendly.
The room was clean. The staff was friendly and the reception is available 24 hours.
Absolutely charming. Absolutely charming hotel. A little dated perhaps but for me, that just adds to the charm. The location is absolutely superb and there is car parking below (unfortunately my van wouldn’t fit). There is a fabulous outdoor pool as well so bring your speedos 👍
The bathroom drains were dirty, and the bedroom was also very neglected. The bedroom has a lot of history.
The room was extremely hot with only a ventilator to try and cool it down. It was impossible to sleep with the windows open at nigh because of the traffic noise. The proximity to the city centre and everything else was outstanding.
It's alright, nothing special.

Good place to stay for one night if you’re travelling. There are supermarkets & restaurants close by
It's perfect for those driving. The room is indeed small, but it can still fit two large suitcases. The bed is quite comfortable, and the cleanliness is good. There are two large supermarkets right outside.
Great value and a good location
Its cheap, clean & comfortable for a one night stay whilst travelling. If you are using UK travel plugs they go in upside down. Some of mine didn’t go in at all. Petrol station & plenty of places to eat in nearby
Was cheap so dont expect anything other than cheap rooms. Its very basic.

Metz, 18 Rue Pasteur, 57000 Mets, Frantsiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I've stayed in some of the big name hotel chains in Metz and none of them were that great. Hotel Escurial turned out to be an excellent and affordable alternative. The room was warm and cozy (and Metz was very cold) and on a par with hotel room sizes typical of Paris. I was at the front with a large floor to ceiling window and small balcony and it was completely silent. The bed was super comfy, the...
Hello, I like to talk about my experiences in hotels, and I'm taking the liberty of pointing out the pros and cons, knowing that these are only details, but to add something extra or perhaps something to think about. Let's start with the cons. The bathroom lacks an electrical outlet that could plug in a razor or toothbrush, for example. The television is smaller than what we would find in a hotel of...
We stayed there with friends. It’s good price-quality ratio. But rooms are clean, breakfast is very nice and enough choice. Staff friendly, nice walking distance to the city. I think we would go back
Very central hotel. Convenient to downtown especially if walking. The girl at the front desk was very kind to give us a waking map of the area. Since we were only there for 1 night, (& arrived late) we were able to park on the street right around the corner from the hotel, which is free till 9am. In the morning we paid for 2 hours to walk a bit and see the Cathedral. The room was small, but good for...
I stayed here 3 nights. The bed was comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. On the first night they said they gave me a complementary upgrade which I think was a king sized bed instead of a smaller bed. I don’t really have any reasons to give less stars because my experience was great. I stay in a lot of hotels and the rooms definitely were basic as far as carpet quality etc. Because this...

Close to the train station and friendly staff, room is clean and nice
The workers are friendly, I arrived early (about 11am) the room is ready so they let me check in earlier. The room is clean everything is awesome.
Really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Very nice and friendly staff. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It’s also very close to the Metz train station. If I ever come Metz again, will definitely be back!
I highly recommend this hotel! 🏨 It was my first time in Metz, and I booked it simply because it seemed close to the train station and convenient for transportation. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The room facilities were basic, unlike hotels in China which are often fully equipped (so it's best to bring your own toiletries and slippers), but the cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast...

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax. The highlight of my visit was the receptionist, Lisi, who was absolutely lovely. She greeted me with a warm smile and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. Highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, excellent service, and friendly staff!
Old. Very small. Ac didn’t work, light in bathroom was constantly on and couldn’t turn off.
Location is good and room size ok. However we faced 2 basic problems which any competent hotel would avoid when preparing rooms for their guests - all the toilet soap/shampoo dispensers were virtually empty and didn’t work, with staff unable to fix it. Also one of the beds didn’t have enough bedding on it, exposing the mattress.
Nice quiet room, didn't like smoke smell in lobby though, so thankful that didn't permeate rooms.
Staff friendly, good parking for six cars in the garage..rooms Adequate for one night. Good location. Breakfast was terrible, like faulty towers, one person trying to do reception, set tables, wash up and probably cook too. No plates, no cutlery, quite chaotic, not worth 12 euros..
This was fine, clean and civil with a decent breakfast. Luxury, it was not but good value and well-situated it was. It has limited parking but there is inexpensive on-street parking available close-by. It's in the city centre, with the positives and negatives of that situation, on the whole positive.

The hotel is located in a less than appealing part of town, between car dealerships and repair shops, in a cheaply constructed building. The rooms, like the bathrooms, are small and furnished minimally. The bed is tolerable. The only advantages are the convenient parking and the low price.
quality adequate to the price, although the rooms are tiny. fenced and secure parking. good communication with the center. the area itself is uninteresting. I generally recommend it

The room was historically, with its exposed beams. Room was warm, clean and comfortable. The breakfast, though not included in the reservation, was well worth the price. The off site parking was a very short distance away and was a pleasant walk. If I ever find myself in Metz again, I know where I am staying.
Lovely staff. Extremely helpful. Carried my bag up 3 flights of stairs and then moved me to the first floor to help me. Highly recommend this lovely hotel in a prime location.

This was our 2nd stay at this beautiful hotel as it was well worth a return visit. It is located directly opposite the fabulous Cathedral and the decor is like Louis XlV - so lavish. It is ideal for visiting the lndoor Market and quaint little pubs round about. Love it!

An old hotel close to the centre of Metz and the train station. Positive points include an excellent breakfast and the possibility for secure car parking close to the hotel. The rooms were clean and of decent standard, but a tiny bit worn. The only minus was the lack of air conditioning, as the rooms get very hot even with moderate summer temperatures outside.
Nice hotel very helpful and friendly staff
