Wonderful BNB This is an extremely lovely bed and breakfast. We had the room with the courtyard view. It was a suite size! Unusual for Europe. The hostess is so friendly and helpful. She also make delicious chocolate cake. The location in the city is perfect! Walkable to everything including the train station.

3 days in Bayeux! Our hostess was very attentive. The rooms are at the rear of a private entrance so it's very quiet. The location is at the heart of the restaurant district I counted 8 sidewalk cafes within a few blocks. It is slso in the heart of the historic town. Within easy walking distance of Everything! Great location near old Bayeux, with lots of restaurants and cafes and shops just outside. Rooms around a lovely courtyard. Breakfast was great! One morning crepes, one morning homemade cake. The homemade yogurt was wonderful. Great way to start your stay in Bayeux.

We had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect—a great spot to see the D-Day beaches and take trips to Mount Saint Michel, Saint-Malo, and Falaise. Our room was lovely, breakfast was excellent, and we felt welcome and very comfortable. It was a very charming place, exactly what we needed. Wewould very much recommend it.

Food was not too good. We thought the food was packaged and the breakfast time we never get replaced food. And that was a little bit rude.

What an amazing hotel, the rooms were massive with mini fridge and coffee and tea facilities. The staff were amazing and the evening meal even though it was a set three course was priced incredibly reasonably and the food was absolutely amazing. Couldn’t recommend it any more.

A really super hotel for a stay in central Caen. Clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. Everything is in easy reach and a wealth of places to eat and drink are very close by.

The Hôtel La Fontaine is highly recommended. It is so tastefully decorated and very clean and quite. The customer service provided is above and beyond what we have typically experienced….perfect!

Very central location. They have 3 floors but no elevator, so that’s something to keep in mind. The stay was comfortable for a short two days. No complains.

Room was nicely decorated and very clean. But it was very small. Also no lift a four storey building so if you on top floor like us a lot of stairs to climb. Breakfast was very poor and could be improved. No eggs or yoghurt. No fresh milk only long life milk. Car parking at €22 per day is a bit stiff. Admittedly hotel doesn't own car park. But i think hotel should try and make alternative arrangements...

A wonderful stay in the centre of Caen. The hotel is quaint clean and the room was spacious and lovely. We had a good fan, a welcome addition during the heatwave. A lovely view into Caen and close to restaurants and touristic attractions. We highly recommend!

This hotel is great! Only one thing I want to mention is the shower booth that the bottom of the glass door’s packing is off, as a result almost of the water from shower leak to the bathroom floor.

The rooms are quite small but not bad overall. The staff is friendly and the parking spaces just in front of the hotel are free. There are not many of those ones though. The staff was very friendly and the location is close to the city centre.

A great place to stay. Well laid out studio, extremely clean, with little communal garden area. Very good quiet location close to the market square, short walk past the shops to the main attractions in Bayeux. The hosts were very welcoming and took the trouble to point out all the main attractions including market days.

Stayed here with tour group doing the WWII Normandy Tours. Very nice location in downtown Bayeux. Lisa at the front desk was outstanding! Room 7 was a nice superior double with a comfortable bed. They had a very nice breakfast, and although not widely advertised they do offer cocktails in the afternoon in lobby area or outside on the deck for a reasonable price. This is a perfect place to stay in Bayeux! It’s a beautiful property, with very clean rooms, and comfortable beds. The staff made us feel like family. My mom enjoyed a glass of champagne each evening in the sitting room- it was a wonderful way to end a busy day of sightseeing!! Most of the attractions are within walking distance of this hotel. We also really enjoyed Gloria- the resident pup!

This is the perfect hotel in Bayeux. It is a short 10 minute walk to the Cathedral and downtown area. It has old world elegance downstairs with tapestries on the wall and chandeliers. Best front desk staff ever! My tv had issues and the staff helped me figure out its quirks. They also stored refrigerated items for me and indulged me when I tried speaking French. They were so lovely I would go back to this hotel for the front desk staff alone!

Room was clean but very small . No free parking at the property. You could pay a daily fee to park. This is a small charming hotel, quite typical in Europe, in a great location. Small but comfortable room. The staff was friendly and helpful and responded quickly to my inquiries. We had a late checkin (the hotel is actually closed at night) but we were given an entry code and access to a key box for the key to our room. It all worked very well.

Stayed and use Ibis on my tours of France, but this Ibis is tired and in need of a refit.. Staff were very friendly and helpful but my room was on the small side and with no air con sleep took a while to happen !! But I didn't pay a lot so you can't argue too much, used again on return to ferry and as it was cooler, was much better, but didn't change the fact it's tired. Secure car park was a plus

Clean and easy The hotel was fine - someone was there to check us in though we had been sent a code. The room was tidy and clean. The breakfast was simple but perfectly acceptable. The owner of the hotel was extremely nice and courteous. The room was quiet and clean! The location was also perfect! Every morning he brought us breakfast to our room and it was the best way to start the day! We looked forward to seeing him every morning and our breakfast. We can’t thank him enough for everything! Easy to find ref local transport from the station. I was on a work visit ref local history of Normandy. Room large. Warm. An attached twin. Bathroom was fine somewhat dusty ref radiator. Shower not good. Funny flow and aeration. Ground floor stank of a peculiar smell. Outside ref patio dirty and needs a proper jet wash. Shame as beautiful limestone. It was adorable and great location. The service was excellent. Our charge, as we thought was about $100. But at checkout it was additional 90. We were told to "come, in it's free" regarding breakfast, it was not. Too much $ for breakfast.
