Compliments for the host who runs this hotel! A lot of people stay here when going South. Gated, secured parking.
Breakfast was really value for money. For a French breakfast it was a lot more than expected.
It made me consider moving to France for the quality of food.
The rooms are efficiently decorated and clean. Good working airco and window can be opened. Very good matrasses too!
Near the burger King, but also it is a short drive to the old center of Blois.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a good-sized room. Overall a pleasant stay, but it would be better if they provided an extra face towel. Unfortunately, the toilet room had an unpleasant smell, which was a downside.”

The hotel was perfectly fine. The website says there's a restaurant within walking distance (La Boucherie), but unfortunately, it's closed. It's not mentioned anywhere. So, we went to the Leclerc brasserie a bit further down the road, which was unfortunately closed. It was already 8 p.m., so we had sandwiches and cheese in our room. Not exactly what you want after 500km in the heat... why isn't that mentioned on the website?

I didn't realize it when I booked, but it's actually a motel surrounded by 4-star dealerships. It's at least a 50-minute walk from the train station and castle, making it unsuitable for backpackers exploring the Loire Valley. I recommend it to those traveling by car.
Thankfully, it was just one night, and there's a large, reasonably priced supermarket and bakery nearby. The receptionist was helpful and welcoming, and the room was simple, elegant, and clean. Overall, I was quite satisfied.

Nothing special about this place. It has a bed, shower and toilet. Great for people passing thru France. Not that great if you would be staying for longer periods. Other than that no complaints.

Blois has a unique geographical location, located between Paris and Bordeaux, and is an important town in the Loire Valley. If you want to visit the historic castles scattered in the Loire Valley, this town is a good choice. The First Hotel Blois is a budget hotel with small rooms and complete basic facilities. The most important thing is that parking is convenient. Most of the guests are overnight tourists. The parking lot full of cars at night will be cleared quickly the next morning. There is a beef restaurant next to the hotel. McDonald's restaurant and LIDL supermarket can be chosen within 10 minutes by car, which is quite convenient. It is 18 kilometers away from Chambord Castle.

Nice value hotel. It had good aircon but could not set it at higher temp at night so was a bit cold then, the breakfast was above average value. Liked it.
