It’s slightly bizarre reading some of the other reviews, we found this hotel to be pleasant and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful, our room clean

Very pleasant stay, excellent staff, dinner and breakfast

The hotel is very close to the airport and has a relatively large parking lot, which is very suitable for driving around the castles. It is 4 minutes drive from a large supermarket and 3 minutes drive from a gas station.

To underline the friendliness of the whole team who does everything to make you feel good in this particular context. We will definitely come back to enjoy the pool this summer!

The only negative that sticks in my mind were the laundry carts assembled in the emergency stairwell, IMO for fire risk avoidance these areas should be completely devoid of any flammable materials

We stayed 2 nights so that we could enjoy the Christmas holidays as a family. Large, very clean room with a sofa and 2 tables, perfect for eating

I spent 2 nights and everything was great. The room is spacious and feels clean from the moment you enter. The breakfast is excellent, with a variety of sweet and savory options, with fresh products

They never put toilette brush so that one can clean after taking a dump! If you are not staying alone, then it becomes very very annoying. Other than that the hotel has a nice restaurant and helpful staff

I highly recommend it, especially for business trips, it’s very comfortable and convenient

The staff at Ibis Styles Tours was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and easily accommodated our family of 4 (teenage kids). 5 stars for the breakfast.

We had our dog with us, and as we had two nights, were able to leave our bike rack and bikes in the secure parking. Would stay again, and would recommend

It is a typical Ibis style hotel. The good thing is it is in city center. The thing I dont understand with Ibis style hotel is the toilette

On different days we had to ring down for more toilet paper, and for towels (all taken, none replaced), and my flannel/facecloth was removed

The room was quiet and clean and the air conditioning was working perfectly during this very hot day. But the best part of this experience were the folks working the front desk. They were welcoming and friendly

We organized a corporate private dinner for 80 people in Mercure Nantes Centre - Grand Hôtel. The relation "quality/service/price" is outstanding! The staff is very flexible, reactive and attentive

I explained that I was staying at the hotel and had been waiting in the lobby — and that I couldn’t just go elsewhere since the hotel is in the middle of nature. They told me to wait until 7:45 PM

How can you deny a single guest just because you expect a group later? Eventually, the manager allowed me to stay — but by then I already felt unwelcome and disappointed

I asked why, since the restaurant was empty, and they said they were expecting a group. I replied that yes, they may be expecting a group — but I am just one person

The reception staff — especially Jonathan — are welcoming, professional, and make you feel at ease. Unfortunately, tonight was very disappointing

Me and my wife had a very positive experience at the Hotel. Definitely, they have high standard in terms hygiene, customer service as well as food options. Very well located, close to bus stops and train station

Mercure Hotel gives us a good impression on Nantes. Especially the hotel receptionist, who dealt with the mistaken city tax account on 12 March, showed great patience for us speaking no French

Overall we were very happy with our choice to stay here and although I wouldn’t rate everything 5/5, overall I think it is greater than the sum of its parts and deserving of 5 stars overall

A very nice well designed hotel; Helpful and friendly staff. Good bathrooms and efficient quiet air-conditioning. Breakfast are quality international style and the restaurant quality and dishes was also very good.

Parking was reasonable and easy once we found the garage entrance and made the whole visit much more convenient. Also it’s quite easy to drive to yet very close to the centre of town so best of both worlds

The breakfast room is small, so you have to choose your time! The location isn't ideal for me coming from the train station, but that's the way it is with choosing a hotel map 😉

The stuff at the reception and breakfast was really nice. The only downside was that some channels didn't work on the TV.

Very short walk of 5 to 10 minutes to the City Center. Very quiet and a nice view on the cathedral if you are lucky. Also the breakfast ist nice, do not drink the coffee though. All a bit small: room, bathroom, cupboard

This room is not too big, it is very small, and the hotel near the station is bigger. We are on a business trip and it takes about half an hour to drive there. There is a tram at the door to the exhibition hall.

Rooms are basic but clean and have everything you need. The staff are what is brilliant about this hotel, they are so helpful and friendly and it's location is very convenient. Would absolutely recommend.

Hotel is a 10minute ish walk into the city centre - a lovely walk along the river. We stayed with our two children and dog. Room was perfect and the kids liked the dip in the pool

Main reception bar area looked lovely and modern. We didn't eat there opting to walk into town. We picked the hotel because of its location into town and a good stop off on route to the eurotunnel from the dordogne

The hotel is well placed, overlooking the river and in easy walking distance from the city centre along good pavements, via the quai and Royal Arcade (following directions from the very helpful front desk staff)

We stayed on the 1st floor in a family room (111) that hasn't been refurbished yet. Room was spotless though slightly tired. Our room was technically over the reception so didn't encounter any road noise

I strongly recommend this hotel , room are spacious , great view on the river and the city. It is one of the best hotel in the city center . I look forward coming back asap. Eric Gallula Perez

Great stay for a couple with 2 dogs, enjoying a balcony overlooking the river. Excellent evening meal, and good breakfast after morning session in the gym. Wonderful staff everywhere.

The accommodation is quiet, the rooms are spacious, there is underground parking but there is an additional charge for parking. The breakfast is very good, with a variety. If I have the opportunity, I will stay again.

The location is excellent, right next to the Tours train station. Ibis Hotel has never disappointed people. The sanitary conditions are good, there is breakfast, and the front desk is very enthusiastic

They had eggs, bacon, and ham, so it was quite well-stocked. The only problem was the small room.

You have to bring your own supplies (there is a kettle, paper cups, towels, hair dryer). The restaurant variety is relatively small, but the cleanliness is generally good

Absolutely one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at, room was cozy, great breakfast, and the hotel is at a great location in Tours, being within walking distance from the train station and from the cathedral

The receptionist was so mean. I was rushing to catch my train, so I told him to hurry up, and he asked me why I hadn't come down earlier.

The staff was wonderful...from the front desk/reception to the restaurant manager and the wait staff, especially our server on Saturday night...delightful!

We used this as an overnight stop on our way to Cherbourg. Rooms very good, bar area very good, Pool and recreational facilities very good, Restaurant choices limited but OK. Will use again.

Good family orientated hotel which is well thought out for travelling families. However it does need a bigger Car Park. Struggled to get a Parking Space which is essential when using the hotel for a road trip stop over

The predecessor of the hotel was a royal palace, but it has been transformed. The breakfast is rich, and the chef even asks you about the taste. In fact, there are very few services in France

In the room, the only lightswitch was by the bed so coming in when it was dark was like pinning the tail on the donkey. It took 15 minutes to work out how to use the tv control

I was visiting from England and do not speak french and I was very grateful to Timothy on the check in desk, it was Sunday and he was able to find me an emergency appointment with a local dentist

The only negative was that someone decided it was ok to vape at breakfast, not the hotels fault, but made me leave breakfast early, I recently had eye surgery and find smoke and vapes very irritating on my eye

Recently refurbished (well almost complete) the hotel was a little further out from the centre than anticipated, a good 50minute walk

But very pleasant stay, helpful and patient staff, the only problem was the lack of restaurant, which was closed due to a lack of a chef

We had a great overnight stay on our way back to the ferry. Interior of the hotel is funky, clean and the staff are incredibly friendly. The pool was a wonderful addition

The facade of the hotel is a little bit tired which is a shame as it hides a great experience. It was 12 minutes walk into town/chateux, a really safe wonderful wander to nearby restaurants and activities

Very competent staff, clean spaces, charging car stations available, but the quality of fruits at breakfast weren’t as fresh and good as expected.

There was no yoghurt left we were told, a small amount of scrambled eggs remained, no bread except sliced bread for toast and only 3 croissants left! Of course we complained and didn’t have to pay! But our point is that no matter what time you arrive for breakfast be it 7

We spent a shorter time at the spa since the pool was a bit chilly and there was no hot tub. The bathrobes and slippers were great since we could not pack those items

My room was a classic double, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent—properly supportive after a day of wandering around—and the bathroom had a great walk-in shower with good water pressure

I asked for beds to be configured as Queen. Arrived 130pm room not ready ( checkin 2pm which was fine). But room finally ready at 2.45pm after many calls to housekeeping. Assigned 2 twin beds..

It’s surrounded by building sites at this moment in time and it looks like they will be flats or offices. Comfortable clean room with bathroom and little kitchen area with sink ,microwave and cupboards with crockery etc
