Wonderful staff and extremely comfortable sofá bed! I really appreciated having hair comditioner in the shower and also a bathtub. The exercise room was very nice. The sofá bed had some mechanical issues so it took time to get it resolved by staff person after a long travel day and late night arrival into the early am. Also they requested $10 extra for a 1 hour l late checkout which was a surprise...

Nice hôtel close to the cathedral and the center of Chartres

Cleanliness is a high priority for me . You ranked high . Location was great ..close to the train station , the old quarter and eateries and the famous cathedral. Being a UNESCO city , Chartres is well maintained . I stayed a nite and enjoyed my short time . Staff were welcoming and helpful. I slept like a log as the mattress was comfortable

The room was spacious. Shower a little odd! All was clean. No airconditioning, so in very hot weather it could be a problem. We did not eat breakfast in hotel but went out to local cafe.

If you are on a long journey and need a night over before the next leg of your trip- this is perfect hotel. Great beds especially after driving long hours, and super powerful shower! Nice staff at the reception desk.

The hotel dining room is being completely refurbished at the moment so only breakfast is being served, in a meeting room. The noise is unbearable between 9am and 6pm, even on the top floor.

Ok stay I used to stay in the hotel before it became an Ibis and the rooms were more comfortable then. To have a small moveable table like the ones they use in hospitals on which they put your meals, is not necessarily a good look in a hotel!

I liked the familyroom, the escalator for our older dogs and the very polite employees.

Someone noticed my car lights had not turned off, and the hotel staff contacted me, preventing a dead battery in the morning. Very grateful for that attentiveness. Super location to train & cathedral! Exceptional location...right across the street from train station and 5 or 6 blocks from the cathedral! Service could have been better. Usually no one at the front desk or they were distracted by other duties.

The hotel is at a good location. The hotel doesn't have a elevator. Rooms are small and also the bedroom. When we arrived there was only one towel but the receptionist gave us more when we complained. At the hotel animals are allowed as we heard a dog barking in one of the rooms. Breakfast looks. Not up to usual standards Had to change rooms asnewly furbished rooms had lack of electricity to plugs and lights..The new room was nice to look at but was not very clean ie toilet was dirty under rim, flies on the counter in the bedroom under curtains, the sink was grimy. It's not what we have come to expect of the Ibis hotel in Luce. We have stayed here many times

We have stayed many times here and staff are friendly and accommodating as we travel with 2 small dogs . I would recommend.

The receptionist was very friendly during check-in! However, the room was poorly soundproofed; I could clearly hear the neighbors talking and watching TV, making it impossible to sleep. I wanted to complain, but there was no one at the front desk. It was incredibly frustrating! There was also no hairdryer!

Rooms were clean & easily accessible. The breakfast is absolutely not worth it. 7€ for a croissant & slice of plain bread. Unless you want a bowl of nutella that's it.

The gentleman at the front desk (didn’t get a name) was so informative, he told us about the beautiful cathedral and how to get there + tips to see it at night. Our 3rd visit to this hotel and we hope to be back in 2026. It is very central, just a short walk from the Place des Épars and onward to the chic shopping streets and the cathedral. On site car parking (payable, needs reserving) is available - satnav is recommended to get to the hotel. Rooms are quiet and well appointed and very affordable for such a location. I have stayed at l'hotel in Chartres several times, it's alway good, plain, simple, clean, tidy, good attentive service and parking available. The rooms are clean and tidy the reception, welcome and service are as good as it gets. 5 minute walk into town where there are LOTS of bars and restaurants, good breakfast. Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. Used the hotel whilst cycling on Veloscenic. Able to store and charge bikes in ground floor room. Very kindly gave us cable tied to solve a bike problem and let us keep room till 1pm so we could explore town on foot before we left. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Room was great - double and single - and easy parking. Named space was ready for us right outside the front door. Easy walk into town for supper. Excellent stop over en-route to Calais.

Central location, friendly staff, good room, breakfast provided (outside terrace available) and restaurant just on the corner. I travelled on business and the place provides all that is needed.

Lovely hotel and a beautiful room. At no point were we told there was a charge for the spa. It was agreed on departure that we should have bene told and the fee would be waived. However, my card was charged. This is absolutely unacceptable. The hotel are now being unresponsive in my request to have the charge refunded.

This hotel is really great. It’s about a five min walk from the train station and very close to the cathedral. No AC but I had a fan and the window opened. Breakfast is very good. It would have been helpful if the do not disturb sign was on the door knob instead of the desk. I could not find it and enthusiastic housekeepers just opened the door a couple times. Would stay again.

It does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s budget so expect no more. It’s a tired budget hotel. It’s useful as a single night stopover.

Hotel very had to find. Address provided kept leading us to Total Energy station on the wrong side of the highway. GPS coordinates would have been very helpful. Breakfast had good variety and was plentiful.

🥴🥴🥴 Family room with 2 children, sewage smell upon arrival, dust everywhere, cobwebs, bathroom not very clean, and in the evening, upon getting into bed, 2 strange "insects" 😮💨 in the sheets, so we checked under the sheets (which seemed clean, though) directly on the bedding and... ugh, hair, fur, crumbs... Well, I'm leaving a positive review for the welcome despite everything and the location, but...

If you are looking for a peaceful perfectly located place to stay in the centre of Chartres this is it. Just a few minutes walk from the cathedral.

The property is located just behind or next to the cathedral with a parking lot which I didn’t need but was convenient for those who did. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are simple, spotless and cozy. Breakfast is buffet with simple, nutritious and fresh offerings. The coffee? Terrific!

A brilliant place to stay if you want to visit the cathedral and the old gown .Only a few minutes walk to the cathedral from the hotel .Lovely. staff and good breakfast, rooms are basic but have good beds ,linen and walk in shower rooms. Great value hotel with a brilliant location on the riverside and a natural park beside it. Parking was secure and well lit, but limited in size, and has height restrictions. The locality has limited restaurants, so be prepared to walk to find something to your liking.

visitors need to be aware of the steep hill to climb from the hotel to the Cathedral, otherwise this is an ideal place to stay to visit Chartres.

Better than Paris, clean and quiet

Enough complaints. The window is small and in a deep opening, to open/close the curtains or the window, you have to drag a chair and stand on it. One of the two night lights has a burnt-out bulb. The breakfast matches the price.

We spent one night in this hotel and it was a terrible experience. The heating was not working at all, while the outside temperature was below zero. Cold air was blowing directly from the air-conditioning unit, making the room freezing and extremely noisy. The night was unbearable. Had a lovely overnight stay here, it’s basic but very clean and we had all we needed for a good overnight stay. We both slept really well, the bed was big enough and very comfy. Would stay here again under similar circumstances

Travelling back from a family holiday in the south and booked this to break the journey up and see Chantres. Was met by the manager who was very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was in a good location and provides good value for the price. I would have appreciated a coffee maker in the room - and a more private door on the washroom. The hotel does not have an elevator, which may make a difference to some guests.
