Where to stay in Pays de la Loire

Pit stop We stopped here for a half way rest point to break up a long journey. Room was small but adequate, bed was a bit hard but ok for a night. Staff were all very friendly and breakfast was fine. It's a good location to get the tram into central Orleans.

Its a fine experience, the rooms were clean enough. But it did live up to its 2 star name with a few bugs in our room, and hair on the shower head. And just the breakfast room and vending machines for food and drink. Which was to be expected. Our little one enjoyed the bunk bed above our bed however!

Second time staying at the same place. This time was a bit warm with no fans or aircon. And an adjustable angle showerhead would have been great. Apart from that, good place to stop over.

I always use Ibis budget, but there are some small differences. Compared to others like Clermont Ferrand this is a little more "budget". No airco, shower when holding shower head up your self, very small cabin, the sink in the bedroom itself. Only 2 half toilet rolls. Generic pictures on website over promise on the actual state a bit. The hotel is very well located, next to the train station, the tram, and lots of shops nearby. The room was nice, the bed was very comfortable, and I slept very well. However, our room didn't have air conditioning. In the summer, that can be a problem. I don't know if all the rooms have air conditioning. Breakfast was decent.

I came to spend the weekend in Angers with some friends and we stayed at this hotel! The staff were fantastic, the receptionist and the chambermaid were all very warm and friendly! One night stay in Amoise was good with the stay at this hotel, although outdated Chateau from early 1900’s the hotel was very clean and had friendly staff, breakfast was good and not included in the price, although you may do better having it in the town with fresh pastries at the local cafes.

This is a basic, average hotel. Comfortable bed, but light from AC control stays on all night and shines in one’s face. Bathroom lighting is poor, and lighting in the room leaves some areas dark. We were disappointed that the restaurant attached to the hotel was closed, even though it was a Friday night. Okay place to stop to get a night’s sleep, but nothing special.

Excellent from start to finish. For a 3 star hotel, the rooms were spacious, bed comfy, bathrooms well appointed. Breakfast was great quality and variety. The hotel staff were very good, unfortunately the same can't be said of the logis hotel group as although I had booked a room I made the mistake of booking a room for the same date a month on! And although I paid the extortionate amount on the day they still want €61 to cancel the room even though I have paid for it! I won't use them again!

The location is not far from the station and is relatively quiet at night. The hotel rooms are quite spacious. If you turn left from the hotel entrance and walk straight to the square, there is a very delicious restaurant that you should definitely try.

The hotel was nice the room we had was basic no tea or coffee in the room. And the breakfast was nice but the food was more fruit and pastries bacon and scrambled eggs and as a british person it would have been nice to have the rest of an English breakfast on offer but the staff were great and the hotel clean so we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in room 318 for 2 nights from 24 - 26 Sept 2024. The room and bathroom are small but comfortable, as can be seen from the photos I have taken. The window to the street is soundproof and I had restful nights! The included buffet breakfast was quite sumptuous. The staff were efficient and friendly.

The location is excellent, right next to the Tours train station. Ibis Hotel has never disappointed people. The sanitary conditions are good, there is breakfast, and the front desk is very enthusiastic. I will stay there next time

Does not look like much outside or in the lobby for that matter. There is no restaurant but on website it says there is with room service. We had to go look for somewhere to eat which was actually not too far away. Positives - rooms are beautiful and clean. BEST THING - The bed. That bed was wonderful.

The hotel was perfectly fine. The website says there's a restaurant within walking distance (La Boucherie), but unfortunately, it's closed. It's not mentioned anywhere. So, we went to the Leclerc brasserie a bit further down the road, which was unfortunately closed. It was already 8 p.m., so we had sandwiches and cheese in our room. Not exactly what you want after 500km in the heat... why isn't that...

I didn't realize it when I booked, but it's actually a motel surrounded by 4-star dealerships. It's at least a 50-minute walk from the train station and castle, making it unsuitable for backpackers exploring the Loire Valley. I recommend it to those traveling by car. Thankfully, it was just one night, and there's a large, reasonably priced supermarket and bakery nearby. The receptionist was helpful...

Nothing special about this place. It has a bed, shower and toilet. Great for people passing thru France. Not that great if you would be staying for longer periods. Other than that no complaints.

This was a lovely building in the old town and moments away from one of the main sights, Jean Coeur Palace. Reception was very helpful about parking, and taking our luggage while we explored the old town, having arrived at lunchtime.

Great location Historic building in the center of the old town, some rooms with a distant view of the cathedral. Very convenient for an overnight stay but parking can be an issue. We decided to use the underground car park near the cathedral so not very far. You can drop off outside the hotel and try to park on the road but we chose not to. The gentleman at the front desk (didn’t get a name) was so informative, he told us about the beautiful cathedral and how to get there + tips to see it at night. Good clean hotel with modern bathroom and large shower. Free parking. 10 minutes walk into city. We had room at front and didn't experience any traffic noise. We booked this hotel because it was next door to Buffalo Grill. Didn't have breakfast as thought a little pricey and was keen to get on our journey home. Would definitely recommend for 1/2 nights stop.

The relation between price and service is ok

Easy to get to the property. The room is super small and the shower is super small. But the hot water was plentiful, the room was generally quiet and the room itself was clean. A good choice for a cheap, no-frills stay with staff who have zero interest in you.

Very claustrophobic room with a tiny bathroom. Bad lumpy pillows but good matrasses. Very noisy, you can hear road noises but also every other guest, especially their toilets and showers. Poor breakfast, very dirty coffee/tea machine and not enough room to accommodate every guest. Nothing to see or do in the neighborhood. Low cost but still too high.

Convenient & functionality Great for an overnight stop whilst travelling, the rooms are basic (similar to a ship cabin) but functional.

Reasonably priced hotel for on route stay

The location was fantastic and there was easy accessibility to trams and tourist sites. The room was at its bare min - no slippers or robe and no bathroom amenities other than soap. The staff were super friendly and that made up for much! Just be warned that there are loads of stairs outside and inside for those less mobile to note.
