They were flexible with my late arrival time; that means they accepted me arriving at the hotel late at night with a previous agreed and arranged process. Room very clean, as well as bathroom. We booked direct and paid €96 which was great value with the super underground Parking. A head torch was helpful to us when loading and unloading the bike as we were in a dark spot in the car park. Really unusual from the underground personally manager-directed parking, to the tiny elevators and upstairs lobby. She may be a bit past her prime, but she was wonderfully quirky. The decor, the unusual room shape, the shower, it was just our style. The manager? Absolutely top notch. Charming, helpful and just a nice man! Definitely worth the trip.

We first visited in May 2023 having chosen it for the secure parking. A very convenient location and perfectly clean and comfortable rooms. Very welcoming manager who directs you to the underground parking entrance. We will book again when we return in September.

Easy to access by car and free parking. Breakfast is acceptable. Restaurant with limited choices, but food is OK. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Overall, it's a good Ibis.

The room was very cold. We told the desk but nothing happened. I had to sleep far away from the window which was wet with moisture all over. I had to wear my parka to sleep. What a terrible nightmare!! I don’t go back to that hotel.

A nice hotel but…. Although a nice adequate room and the hotel beautifully placed next to the bridge over the river after a long day on the bike the noise levels around the property were very loud with what appeared to be boy racers speeding over the bridge all through the night ( not the hotels fault)

Well It's not always about a star review as it's a price that is priceless with the basic room as rustic and authentic. The importance of an individual owner working hard to give what he has to offer and this is 5 star. For a two star hotel very good, no bad comments. The room was very clean. slept there for 2 nights, we didnt have breakfast but that was an option.

Great location. Nice modern foyer. Twin bed room was a bit small but fair with comfy beds - we didn’t need more than that. Fairly spacious bathroom and good shower. Friendly and helpful staff, who speak English.

Location was excellent. Staff very nice. The room was very small but had a nice size bathroom. No hot water one day but was given a free breakfast in return. Stayed 3 nights. The last night the air conditioning kept turning off after one hour so I didn’t sleep well because it was August and hot so I had to get up every hour and turn the air conditioner back on. If you are looking for a peaceful perfectly located place to stay in the centre of Chartres this is it. Just a few minutes walk from the cathedral.

The property is located just behind or next to the cathedral with a parking lot which I didn’t need but was convenient for those who did. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are simple, spotless and cozy. Breakfast is buffet with simple, nutritious and fresh offerings. The coffee? Terrific!

A brilliant place to stay if you want to visit the cathedral and the old gown .Only a few minutes walk to the cathedral from the hotel .Lovely. staff and good breakfast, rooms are basic but have good beds ,linen and walk in shower rooms. For the price it is brilliant and also has free car parking .

Old world charm just footsteps away from the cathedral. The breakfast was worth purchase. The room had everything we needed with a beautiful view of the village below. We would definitely stay here again.

Pleasant stay with family The garage is charged separately and is extremely narrow, so be careful. Seriously! The hotel is 20 min walk to the historical town. We had an issue with the shower and we were immediately moved to another room. Great staff. The heating in the room was not great though. The breakfast had very few options and it was not worth it.

Very good location to the Centre District of Nantes, very close to many alley ways full of bars and cafes, very beautiful of a night. Bed were fantastic super comfortable, clean showers, hot water no problem. I would stay here again. Very quiet rooms.

This hotel is terrible!!! Not only is there no elevator, but the room also has no Wi-Fi and no cell phone signal!!! There are two branches of this hotel; we checked into the other one, which has an elevator and is a bit better.

Lovely quiet little hotel opposite the railway station and a 10 minute walk into the city centre. Rooms are a good size and well laid out, and we also had a balcony to sit out on. Breakfast available for an additional charge.

This is a very reasonably priced hotel across the street from the train station and after a full day of travel from Canada that a bonus. We stayed twice in one week in two different rooms. They were clean and comfortable and considering the location of the hotel- very quiet.

Room with a closed connecting door = impersonal as possible

The hotel is opposite the Nantes train station. There are many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It is very convenient for shopping and eating. Tourist attractions can be reached on foot. You can also take the tram. The hotel staff is very friendly.

Good value in Bourges Attractive 19 century chateau with good parking on site. But the car park covering is gravel and clay which is very messy when wet. The room while spacious was an obvious and not very attractive carve up or a grand room. Excellent and very helpful and friendly receptionist. Very reasonable price. Would stay again.

Great location just a couple blocks from the train station, and a few blocks from a grocery store. The Amboise city center is a 20-minute walk. The area is quiet at night. I echo all of the positive comments written here. The Hôtel la Brèche was the perfect place for my wife and I to stay while in Amboise for several nights. From check-in to checkout, everything was perfect, from staff to the condition of the property. We were assigned room 16 and were not disappointed. Excellent accommodation for those wishing to visit the city and castles without using a car. It’s certainly an experience and one you should try - unless the idea of sleeping in a pitch black cave, underground with no windows or light puts you off!! Yes It’s warm and it’s humid which is a bit off putting but does keep the dust down! The caves have been there for over 600 years so are pretty reliable and the owner is passionate about his home. Both unusual and disconcerting, sleeping in a cave is above all calming. The place opens onto a pretty garden on the banks of the Loire, a stone's throw from the town center of Amboise and its castles. I thank our hosts, welcoming and discreet, and the services offered, such as breakfast served directly in the loft and the massage service, very appreciated after a good day of walking. I recommend!

We went to celebrate our pre-Valentine's Day😀 in the loft which is cozy romantic far from the other rooms, perfect as we wanted. Comfortable quiet city apartment We stayed one night to break a journey and to have a look at Nantes. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable, it's a short walk to the old part of the city with its bars and restaurants. We chose La Mangouste, which was great. There's a supermarket and bakery around the corner and parking at the hotel for a cost. Would recommend it.

This is one of the cheaper hotels in the area. Rooms are still not actually "cheap" , with around 70€ / night for a double room. We had a small room in ground level, with the entrance to the outside. Apparently, someone had smoked in this room before, the smell was still lingering. Otherwise, the shower was great, the bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. We had a good night's rest. Great value hotel with a brilliant location on the riverside and a natural park beside it. Parking was secure and well lit, but limited in size, and has height restrictions. The locality has limited restaurants, so be prepared to walk to find something to your liking.

visitors need to be aware of the steep hill to climb from the hotel to the Cathedral, otherwise this is an ideal place to stay to visit Chartres.

Enough complaints. The window is small and in a deep opening, to open/close the curtains or the window, you have to drag a chair and stand on it. One of the two night lights has a burnt-out bulb. The breakfast matches the price.
