Where to stay in Dzhuta

We visited Juta in June 2023. After finishing a trail, we came to Juta Cafe for lunch and were warmly welcomed by the owner, Natia. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy. In the end, we even had a beer with the park owner and talked for a while. It was a perfect afternoon. Greetings from Portugal! We hope to visit Juta again one day. Inês and Tiago

Very beautiful Alpine Hotel with awesome service and food. The woman who run this hotel are a family and they make you feel like one of them. The price was modest and it had internet hot shower and huge lounge and beautiful views.

Didn't stay at the hotel only ate in the restaurant-good food, good prices and a friendly staff, worth stopping by

Came down from camping in the valley after sunset, just looking for a place to warm up and charge my phone. The staff here were incredibly friendly. They helped me figure out my hiking route and even invited me to a hot chocolate without letting me pay. One of the kindest encounters I’ve had while travelling. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing! Difficult to reach as the road to Juta is only a dirt road, and once there you need to make a reasonably steep climb of a 1000m to reach the hotel. We didn't stay in hotel, so I can only judge the restaurant. We went there for breakfast before the hike to the lake, ordered an omelette with vegetables, pancakes and coffee - everything was very tasty! Omelette 9 GEL, pancakes 20. Water 500 ml costs 5 GEL, overpriced. The view is gorgeous, the food was brought quickly. The impressions were very good.

To reach the Five Season Hotel in Utah, you walk about 3 km from the main road (closed on Mondays) to the village of Uta, and then another 1 km uphill to the hotel. It can’t get any more authentic than this! The family are all such warm and inviting people, and the house is very homely. You can pay a little extra for genuine home cooked food by the mother of the family and it was a huge highlight! The rooms are basic and comfy (although a little cold at night). Amazing food. We had stayed at an apartment nearby and had meggie’s food for 2 days. The breakfast and dinner are amazing. The breakfast is very good, especially if you plan to hike after. one of the best authentic experiences you will get in Juta.

What a magical place. Private room with shared bathroom, all very clean and comfortable. The owners Levan and Meggie are super friendly and will help you with all you need. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as horseback tours. The view is just incredible. A wonderful place to recharge and hike up the mountains. Highly recommended:)

Very nice guesthouse. Great base for exploring the mountain area. Meggie is a friendly host and terrific cook. They only speak Georgian, but her daighter’s english is great.

Good and cheap (10 GEL per person) camping spot around Juta. Great location as start point for a day hike to the Chaukhi pass or two-day hike back and forth to Roshka. It was difficult to find a flat spot on the camping as there was a lot of attributes (swings, chairs, etc.) on the domain. During the night the lights stay on on the camp ground, so bring eye masks. My wife and I stayed here on 7 through 9 June 2025. Zeta Camping is situated about 1 kilometre uphill from Juta, and is at the start of the trail leading towards the "Georgian Dolomite". The surrounding views are super fantastic, to say the least. The staff members are all very friendly and helpful. Basic room facilities, but everything worked well for us.

My dear Zeta, where should I start, the environment here is really beautiful and charming, one has to experience the environment only a few kilometers from the Russian border. Perfect place for camping ,location is 1km. from the village Juta. You can choose glamping, cottage or rent a ⛺ at the same place. We tried glamping and it was perfect! Stayed as part of the first ever Contiki Best of Georgia tour (June 2024), and enjoyed the stay. Surrounded by mooing cows, a beautiful view of the snow capped mountain peaks from my room, decent breakfast buffet, and friendly staff. Thermostats don't seem to work for colder temperatures, but the area is mosquito free and it is possible to sleep with the balcony door open.

Really nice and cool place! We slept in the hut where the bed was placed under a roof window. It was really cozy watching the moon and stars at night and waking up to the bright mountains above! The room could have been a little bit cleaner, but we are ski people that has a lot of things with us, so we easily add some mess and didn’t feel bothered:) Service people where really nice, locations is great...

If u plan to stay in kazbegi , this is the best choice for famly or friends , this place is strongly recommended , a calm place with the best view of. The Kazbegi cathedral from the balcony, parking is available .. loved the stay and strongly recommended

We stayed for 4 nights, and the place has beautiful mountain views and a peaceful village atmosphere. The price is good — about half of what we paid in Tbilisi — so it’s budget-friendly. However, the access road is very rough (unpaved and rocky), and the hotel accepts cash only. The room wasn’t ready when we arrived, and overall cleanliness was poor — spider webs, broken lamps and dishes, and a bathroom...

The lady Tamara and Katherina are the best host you can ask for. They were the kindest and most helpful person around (as the host and the owner of the property). Highly recommended as it has pool and sauna (sauna is not included but its very cheap). Great value for money and to experience hospitality in Kazbegi.

The cottage is clean, cozy, and very comfortable! It has a wonderful view over the town, and it is in front of the Kazbegi mountain. If you are lucky to have good weather, the views from here and from the restaurant are the best! It had a pool where you could swim even in the evening times as water is always warm. It's absolutely worth it!

The houses facing the mountain are nice, but those at the back are just too noisy.

You definitely don’t get what was advertised. The room was worn-out, there was water damage, the bathroom had a terrible odor, doors of the bathroom could only be locked from outside and the heating had no regulation and it got really hot. The road leading to the place was terrible and same goes for the service.

Very nice place with amazing view. Highly recommend to book apartments with terrace to have a cup of coffee outside enjoying the mountains. So adorable. We stayed here for 1 night and we wished we could have stayed longer. It’s a long ride from Tbilisi but definitely worth it when we arrived. The location of the hotel offers a great view of the mountains and the city. We were given a room at the end of the hall with small balcony so we get to see both views on each side. Amazing! We had a lovely stay in Hotel Alpenhaus. The view from the room was amazing. The staff was very sweet and helpful. The food was amazing and all our requirements were taken care of. It is the perfect stay to get lost in your thoughts right in the middle of the mountains.

I am thrilled with this accommodation. It has a beautiful and modern design, and everything wss very clean. It was very warm inside, and the cabin had everything we needed. I really liked that the cabin was a bit away from the center. The access road might not have been in the best condition, but there was parking available on the property. The property was very well-maintained. :)

This cabin is exactly what you would imagine a mountain getaway to be. My partner and I had the best time Tucktaway in this place for a few days. The hikes and the food in the town are lovely as well and the sweeping views of the mountains it’s morning, are breathtaking.

Spectacular views from room, we took the quad room, wakho & his family are really loving hosts, & they not only welcomed us into their home but also made it really a joyful stay for us. Kids had a chance to milk their cow! Wakho is a great guide , a very professional & safety conscious person to be trusted. We will surely stay with them again in our next trekking adventures!

Excellent location. The rooms were good, but the bathrooms were smelly; the guide explained that's an issue in that region. There is a huge, hairy dog on the property that was not mentioned on the website. The landlady staying on the property curtailed our freedom a tiny bit.

It was a complicated experience ;-) On the one hand, we arrived to the hotel and it turned out that we were the only guests (in not-so-small hotel in July!) and there were only two women of the staff who didn't speak English and we couldn't communicate effectivelyt. Very new (as per December 2019), comfortable quiet, VERY WARM, hotel. When we were there, dining room, kitchen and outside terrace were not yet finished, but looked imoressive. Room was small but cozy. Nicest staff eager to make you feel comfortable. They have private parking. Mountain view, but not the Trinity church view, be careful!

I read a lot of rave reviews about this guesthouse. But for the price, it's so-so... I can't say anything bad, but Georgia has impressed me with its service in many places, but unfortunately, not this hotel. The sofas are very dirty. The shower is weird. The lodge was cosy, warm and nicely furnished with everything you’d need. Local shops and restaurants are a 5 minute walk away. You absolutely have to book the suite! The suite is the real deal—a two-story, triangular house, and it's absolutely fantastic. Due to various reasons, the original accommodation was fully booked twice. We contacted Ctrip customer service and changed it to Pyramid. The customer service was in contact with the owner throughout the whole process. The owner was also very nice and had been waiting for a long time. Otherwise, Kazbek would have become a day where we would have to sleep on the streets.

An amazing stay with great hosts and an awesome view. Tamara is super friendly and sweet. And Maria, you're a great cook! Thanks to both, we didn't face any issues as vegetarians - they went out of their way to provide a fulfilling breakfast. We left Kazbegi with good memories and new friends. The place is good but not the best in the city. Sunshine hotel is average, comfortable but not very clean. The view from the rooms is outstanding. The breakfast is very good. The staff is ok.The main reason to put above the list is the ratio price/quality.

We spent one night at Sunshine hotel and it was amazing. Even though it was raining and cold, we managed to have a great night especially that our room had a small balcony and an amazing view of the mountain. Very well organized hotel; in addition to fully equipped rooms (which should not be taken for granted in today's Georgia) and breakfast, it also has a home-style kitchen where you can cook on your own, a welcoming hall for socializing and an outside terrace (with tables, chairs, blankets) that overlooks famous Kazbek mountain.

Simple accomodation but clean. The house is very noisy, cos you can hear every word said anywhere in the house. It seems like the walls are made from papers. Especially if there is family dinner for 15 people lasting till late night. The breakfast and dinner was excelent.

We stayed in a different place but we came to try the authentic Georgian gastronomy and it was delicious, tasty and traditional food, it was a nice place and there were wonderful views, and the people OMG so nice, kind and generous. We had dinner and breakfast, it was incredibly tasty. I think it was one of my best food experience in Georgia, and there was a very energetic, positive and cozy atmosphere

It is very nice place. Personal is really hospitable. We were living in good, pure, spacious room with amazing view on mountains. Rooms are staffed of all necessary things, really comfortable and well planned and designed. There is a big hall on the first floor with soft chairs and sofa and table.

The view is unbelievable. Room's needs are for sure a microwave, heating for bathroom too cus its central. A bit walking distance from the center and bolts are expensive. So make sure you get some snacks and beverages before going up.

Everything was super cozy and clean! Easy self check-in, quiet surroundings, and strong Wi-Fi for working from the balcony. I honestly loved every moment of being here. Thank you.
