Alpenhaus Kazbegi Hotel & Restaurant in Kazbegi

We stayed here for 1 night and we wished we could have stayed longer.
It’s a long ride from Tbilisi but definitely worth it when we arrived. The location of the hotel offers a great view of the mountains and the city. We were given a room at the end of the hall with small balcony so we get to see both views on each side. Amazing!
Room size is decent. No Aircon but it’s cold at night so should be alright.
Room Amenities - no dental kits given, but there’s enough shampoo and body wash. Towels are fresh.
Bathroom door doesn’t have a stopper so if you’re like me who goes in and out of bathroom during skincare time it’s not ideal as the door keeps swinging.
Location is a probably around 2km from the main highway so it’s ideal to go to this place by car. The street to the hotel is rough road.
Service - can’t really make a comment on this as we checked in around 5pm and checked jout at 9am the next day. During our stay, there was no hiccups.
Facilities - You get what it’s advertised
Food - restaurants are available nearby, we only had to worry about dinner as our booking came with breakfast. Breakfast is so-so. I think there’s only few rooms occupied as we only get to see another couple during breakfast. Also, we booked few
Overall: Good value for money. I think best to stay here during winter with the amazing views you’d get. 4/5

We had a lovely stay in Hotel Alpenhaus. The view from the room was amazing. The staff was very sweet and helpful. The food was amazing and all our requirements were taken care of. It is the perfect stay to get lost in your thoughts right in the middle of the mountains.

Loved the wooden look. Nice rooms. Well furnished, comfy beds. Bathroom, hot water, cleanliness, WiFi, breakfast, … all was good. Great views from the room and balconies. Value for money was good for this location.

We arrived on a rainy day and our bedlinnen and towels were damp/wet.

One of the best hotela in Georgia. I loved the view what I saw once i woke in the morning. So comfortable,nice and clean room.good breakfast.If I go back in Kazbegi i will definitely book this hotel again

Very nice view from, nice breakfast, nice staff, but difficult to reach by normal car, 4*4 car recommend

What was good.
- Views and terrace are the main reason, but this place works also as a restaurant so there will be other people not from the hotel.
- Service was kinda cute, girls were very helpful and even though we had language barrier they managed to make everything good.
- Price.
What was bad.
- Bed was unbearable, and pillows were uncomfortable.
- No conditioners in rooms.
- Constant smell of fried oil inside of the building.
- And road to guesthouse was in maintenance and hard to get there.

One of the best hotels I stayed in Georgia was Alpenhaus. Though the hotel is small but has un unmatchable and breathtaking views. The rooms are nice and cozy and they have a very beautiful open roof restaurant! Highly recommended in Kazbegi!

this hotel is hidden gem, I stayed here with my wife for a week and really enjoyed everything. The view is awesome, food is delicious, room is very good, spacious and has comfortable bed.
