Kazbegi View in Kazbegi

We wanted to stay near the Gergeti Trinity Church (Tsminda Sameba). We wanted a nice view from our room, so we narrowed our choices to the two we thought met our expectations. We ultimately chose the one that was easiest to reach by car on paper: Kazbegi View. In reality, this wasn't the best choice, as the roads in that area are in poor condition, usually with some kind of excavation on one side, so you have to steer to the left and zigzag around them to avoid damaging your rental car. We didn't read anything about it but never mind, but in the last piece another problem arose: turning right to reach the structure the road was blocked because they were doing some work with an excavator, we asked the workers how we had to get to Kazbegi View and they told us to continue on the main road, turn right at the next road, I followed the instructions but after a while the road becomes dirt, and full of potholes, to go towards the structure I would have had to take a road with a high possibility of damaging the car (we had a normal car, not a 4x4 ...) We wondered why the structure hadn't notified us with a message to warn us that the road was blocked (they had sent us a message to tell us that we had to pay in cash ...) Once we arrived at the structure we started to check in and through my wife who speaks fluent Russian, I asked why they didn't send us a message to warn us of the problem and the answer was that they are not responsible for the road, among other things my wife didn't tell me translated but he also said that if we didn't like it we could not pay and look for another structure (aside from this inappropriate response, if my wife had translated it for me I would have done it, even if arriving in the afternoon and having to look for another structure after the not "relaxing" road to get there ... The only two things he did was ask if we wanted him to drive the car to the hotel (I said I didn't want to risk damage to the car) and that, since there was this problem, he could carry the suitcases (I refused both options, the first because I would have paid for the damages anyway, the second because the atmosphere was tense and I preferred to go back and forth 3 times to get the luggage). He accompanied us to the room, the windows all steamed up, he opened the door and inside it felt like being in a sauna, in any case the sunset was near and with the door open we could survive. We had chosen that structure for the view of the glacier, I didn't worry too much about the steamed windows because the important thing would have been the sunrise with the view of the glacier. It's a shame that once the steam from the heat had disappeared, the glass remained largely opaque (I think due to a defect in the double glazing), and to think that we chose that one

Great view from cabin but thats about it. Rooms arent well maintained, paint peeling off, no room cleaning, no drinking water or toiletries like toothpaste provided. Everything is charged via their restaurant, Tida. The managing lady is sweet but the management needs to update. Will not recommend.

1. The place is very bad and full of mosquitoes.
2. The road leading to the cabin is extremely dangerous.
3. The bathrooms have no bidets and there is no hot water.
4. There is no room service.
5. Not all the cabins have a view.
6. Only three cabins actually overlook the scenic view.
7. Most importantly, the owners of the place are extremely racist towards Arabs and Russians.
8. I personally witnessed the owner’s wife guiding an Arab family to their cabin.
9. Moments later, she came back yelling at them and accusing them of stealing the cabin.
10. The family calmly told her, “You’re the one who showed us this cabin—why are you shouting?”
11. She replied, “You Arabs are crazy,” then went to get her husband.
12. Her husband came and kicked the Arab family out to give the cabin to a European family.
13. He moved the Arab family to a very poor-quality cabin instead.
14. The next day, a Russian family (father, mother, and two children) arrived.
15. They were given a cabin, but in the morning when they politely asked for more bread, they were told there was none.
16. The owner also said the children were being noisy.
17. When the father said the kids were not making any noise, the owner shouted at them: “You are not welcome here!”
18. Because of the shouting, the children started crying.

Very badly mismanaged place. Pictures lie.

Terrible experience, rooms are not as shown in the pictures. Pictures taken when property was built probably 5-6 years ago, some structures are not even seen on pictures. Walls were dirty, markings everywhere, in some places marks on the walls were above my head, I am not totally sure how on earth people managed to leave those. Spilled drinks marks on walls. Basically place is heavily run down.In some places walls show signs of leakages.

There was no hot water during our stay.

Shower hose was broken, was missing some of the metal tubing, exposing inner black cable half way.

In the evening bathroom was stinky, smell of a fish and then food, I think when restaurant is running down water smell just travels around houses via badly installed drainage system making bathroom disgusting. Bathroom door was not closing. Towel drier was randomly leaking in bathroom and some parts of it broken.

There was male/female hair on the bed.

Spider web was hanging off the ceiling.

Only thing worth there was a view, but thats about it. Multiple places to choose around, just avoid this one.
