A very beautiful house and farm with very friendly and accommodating owners up on the mountain.
Very good transport links, from where you can take the public bus everywhere. Meaning, you can leave your car parked.
Bus stop in the immediate vicinity. Hiking trails and paths to the lake are very well described.
Hiking maps and other interesting information about the Berchtesgaden region are available in the entrance area.
The apartment (attic) is adequate and furnished in a rustic Bavarian style, very clean, lacking nothing,
simply a place to feel at home.
Two balconies (east and west) with a wonderful view of the mountains.
Parking is available at the house (free).
All in all, the house is in a quiet location, and the host makes every effort to ensure that guests have a good time and lack nothing.

The Alpenhof Punzenlehen is wonderfully situated with mountain views and is somewhat secluded. There's parking at the house. Everything is within easy reach, even on foot. The master bedroom is very large and cozy, and the smaller room with a bunk bed and desk has a French door leading to a small balcony and a small window with a view from the top bunk. The kitchen is very large and well-equipped, with a balcony and two windows offering a view. The bathroom is comfortable and well-ventilated. The owners are very friendly, and our stay was a delightful surprise that we'd love to return to. Berchtesgaden and Salzburg are nearby, the beautiful Königssee offers wonderful boat trips, and the food and drinks are delicious... You can see where Ludwig Ganghofer gets his inspiration. And when you finally get around to actually reading his books, you can't help but be amazed at how interesting and well-written they are. (And you might almost wonder how little of his fame is known in his homeland.)

The Alpenhof Punzenlehen is very quiet and offers beautiful mountain views. Our holiday apartment was clean and comfortably furnished. It had everything we needed, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking. The village of Schönau am Königssee is beautiful, and the owners were very friendly.

A beautifully situated house with stunning, unobstructed views of the Schönau and Berchtesgaden mountains (Jenner, Hohes Brett, Hoher Göll with the Kehlstein in the foreground, etc.). Lake Königssee is easily reachable on foot in no more than 30 minutes.

The spacious apartments are very cozy, furnished in a traditional Bavarian style that complements the historic Punzenlehen farmhouse, and feature free Wi-Fi. A wonderful base for hiking in the national park.

The hosts are very friendly, kind, and helpful. Alpenhof Punzenlehen is highly recommended!

The walk from the bus stop is a bit confusing. Once you find the small meadow path, though, it's fine. The landlady is very friendly and accommodating. The apartment is very clean and has everything you need for cooking, washing up, etc. There's a fantastic view of the mountains. It's about 2.5 km to Königssee on foot, which we happily walked, as it also gives you a glimpse of Schönau.
