The hotel was very good- the pools, saunas and whirlpool were spacious and the views were beautiful. Convenient location for a relaxing getaway and some activities like Königssee or the Salt mines.
The staff was super friendly and very attentive. It was our anniversary and they prepared some especial details for me and my partner which we warmly appreciate.
The buffet was good but the main course was dissapointing, especially the meat.
Another thing that for my boyfriend and I's opinion was dissapointing is that the bar was closed at 23:00h already.
Additionally, we booked a massage and it was just not good. Very soft even when asked to press more. And it felt like body scratches more than actual muscle massage.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, we had a pleasant time. But I think it is more targeted to an older audience.
We thank the hospitality and all that was arranged for us to make our stay comfortable.

As always we had a great welcome from Stefan and the team. The location is perfect for relaxation (just gazing at the mountains rejuvenates my soul) and walking. I hoped we would see snow and right on queue it did, which was so picturesque. Then the sun came out which meant we could sit in the outside jacuzzi and look at the mountains whilst breathing in the fresh mountain air- wonderful. The food was exquisite, as usual. I am sure I have come back a few pounds heavier!! This was my third visit and the standards continue to be high. The 5 nights for 4 is such good value. We will be back

What a place! Wooow! It’s mind blowing. Quite, mix of modern and tradition. The view of mountains, sound of birds. You can not miss it.

This is my third visit here and it just gets better and better. Wonderful location, easy to get to either by train from Munich or a short taxi from Salzburg. In summer the bus stops outside and in winter it stops a short walk away in the bottom of the valley. Staff could not be better. They were endlessly patient with my attempts at German and always wanted to make sure we were as comfortable as we could possibly be. Some rooms are yet to be renovated but even these are well appointed and comfortable. The recently renovated rooms are VERY nice and have everything a person could need. The spa area is the main attraction. A variety of different sauna and steam rooms, rooms for relaxing and treatment rooms. You can either book a room rate inclusive of a treatment or ‘pay as you go’. Food is plentiful and of very high quality. The restaurant is also very pretty and has great views. Service is friendly and relaxed. You are never rushed and each course is very tasty. I would recommend anyone starting to try and include a Sunday night, as the evening meal on Sunday is a wonderful buffet with an incredible selection. If I had to pick one criticism (and it’s very hard to find one) all id ask is the double beds either had a double mattress or the two singles zipped together, with a double duvet, rather than two singles. Other than that there is not a thing to not like. I will be booking my next visit very soon.

The terrace faces beautiful snow-capped mountains.
You can take great photos without leaving your room.
Affordable dinner packages are available.
The hotel also offers a swimming pool and sauna, but we arrived too late to enjoy them.

This was our third stay at this hotel, and it certainly won’t be the last. We enjoy every visit just as much as the previous ones. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well-organized, with a wonderful atmosphere and a very friendly, welcoming staff. During this stay, I also celebrated my birthday, and the team surprised me in such a thoughtful and lovely way, which made the experience even more special. The location is perfect, surrounded by stunning nature that makes the stay even more memorable. We especially love coming here in the snowy winter – relaxing in the spa while everything outside is white and peaceful is simply magical. Highly recommended, and we are sure we’ll be back again.

Stefan and Gabby and the amazing Alpenhof team make every stay with them marvellous! Fabulous food and a tranquil, yet warm ambience everyday. Stefan’s brilliant fireworks display at Silvester is a highlight. State of art skin treatments and wellness options are superb.

Our family of four spent two nights at the Alpenhof just outside Berchtesgaden. It's a beautiful location in the mountains. A little far from the town center. We had a driver for our major excursion, but a car would've been helpful if we wanted to explore more or take meals offsite. The food was well-prepared, but not memorable. The rooms were large and quiet and nicely decorated in the mountain theme. Most of the guests seemed to be German, but there are English-speaking members of the staff. It was rainy and cold while we were there so we didn't use the pool or trails. However, we did book massages and thoroughly enjoyed the pampering!.

Our first time visiting the area and what an amazing experience overall. The beautiful setting, the mountain view, the well appointed rooms, the exceptional food and service made our stay an unforgettable one. The staff were warm, welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and made us feel like family more than clients.
