We went with a very large, 3-generations family of 17 (ages from 1 to 75 years) and we stayed for 5 nights in 9 rooms of our choice. The booking process was complex but incredibly well managed by the owner, Stefanie, who gladly accommodated all our special requests (e.g. from sorting cots, to making sure we all sat together for breakfasts to organising various evening meal restaurants for all of us close to our Hanauerlehen bed and breakfast hotel in Schoenau). Stefanie and all her staff were wonderfully pleasant and helpful, the rooms were modern, spacious and clean and all the hotel facilities were excellent. The breakfasts were amazing with a huge variety to cater for all 17 of us. Plenty of car parking and free. Afternoon coffee and cake were great too. A good games room where we all gathered after dinner and loads of us used the excellent swimming too. Finally the views from the hotel were stunning and the hotel provided free bus passes to get us into nearby towns - although some of us enjoyed much walking too! Many thanks, Stefanie, you helped make this a unique and unforgettable "big" family experience. I'm sure we'll be back; maybe even more than 17 of us!!

It is very, very beautiful here! People are super friendly and helpful. You can really feel at home here. And there is a breathtaking view as a man enjoys his generous breakfast.

Their restaurant is great. Tasty food, spectacular view, attentive staff. Nothing to complain about. Even steak was cooked the way I asked (it happens not as often as I'd like). Servus!🍻

Fantastic food, friendly service. A must stop and try the restaurant if you’re in the neighborhood. We had Bayernpizza and Bergsteiger schnitzel- a must try!

The Staff were all very friendly. Nice location, very easy to reach famous sights e.g. Königssee, Malerwinkel, Königsseer Fußweg, Berchtesgaden central bus station. I especially loved to walk along the Königsseer Fußweg to the Königssee.

We had an amazing time off in this hotel with breathtaking views during breakfast and dinners. It'run by The Schwaigers for generations and very warm welcoming from the arrival.

Very friendly and informative whenever asking for some tips for hiking and things to do.

Breakfast couldn't be better during this Corona time. The lady during our breakfast paid extra attention to our taste and made sure that all was met our special requirements without sausages.

Not to mention, there was so much to do in this area. I would definitely come back to this gorgeous Bavarian hotel again.
Highly recommended!
