The staff was very friemdly, the rooms were in a new state and really clean. a must if you are in the area or want to visit Schwetzingen Castle.

Lovely stay
Lovely family run small hotel with B&B atmosphere. Room (w/ A/C) was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was nicely laid out and coffee was good. Convenient walking distance to stadtmarkt and palace. While there is no bar, small fridge with beer, water and soft drinks in the hallway, and a shaded sitting area in the yard. Ample parking in the neighborhood if the lot overflows. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Small hotel with nice touches
The location was ideal for a visit to the Schwetzingen Castle! Plus a free entry to the garden was just across the street. I liked the little extras like the apples, water, treats on the pillow. Up to date decor in the room and the drink fridge with Apfel Scharle for purchase was nice.

Villa Benz is a well-kept small hotel that's conveniently located in Schwetzingen. It's directly across the street from the Schwetzingen Palace, which is a must-see when visiting the town. I was there for a summer concert at the Palace, and the Villa Benz worked out very well. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the innkeeper does a nice job of keeping the property in great shape. The morning breakfast spread was above and beyond what we imagined. Schwetzingen is about a 20-minute drive to Heidelberg. It was tricky getting a taxi on a Sunday, and Uber service isn't available in town. There is train service about a half mile from the hotel, which is how we arrived for the concert. If I find myself back in Schwetzingen I won't hesitate to book a room at Villa Benz!

We, my wife and yours truly, were invited to our granddaughter's birthday.
The hotel corresponds exactly to what we imagine for such a location. In short, a small and very fine hotel. We were greeted in a very friendly and warm manner.
