We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The service was poor, and the staff were unwelcoming. Our room was extremely dusty, as if it had not been used or cleaned in a very long time. While that can happen, it is the hotel's responsibility to ensure that rooms are clean and ready before assigning them to guests—especially when the reservation is made in advance. The most concerning part of our stay happened one night when we returned to the hotel after 10:00 PM. There was no one at the reception, and we had no keys, as we were supposed to change rooms that evening. We called the emergency number provided, and the manager arrived, but instead of assisting us, he was extremely rude and aggressive. Shockingly, he asked us to leave the hotel at 11:00 PM. No guest deserves to be treated in such a way, regardless of the circumstances. Hotels should handle difficult situations with professionalism and respect. Asking guests to leave in the middle of the night is unacceptable and unsafe. I sincerely hope no other guest has to go through this kind of treatment. It also raises a serious concern: would we have been treated differently if we were American or European? It’s a question worth asking.

terrible experience, no emphaty by the management
it was a terrible experience that I would never stay in this hotel, I got sick and I had to flight back to my home 1 day before, they did not accept to refund even she saw my face that I was clearly seem not good. The room was terrible and the facility is not worth to stay in this hotel. Heidelberg is a wonderful place to see around but you should choose a better place to stay in.

nice hotel
nice hotel. Room was good size, large walk in shower. They have parking that you pay for but there is parking on the street. Is close to the tram line into Heidelberg but the hotel is actually in Eppelheim. Quiet hotel. Nice restaurant attached.

Excellent location in a residential area, ideal for us visiting our granddaughter who is studying in Heidelberg. The Staff, service, friendliness and cleanliness was very good, as was the airconditioned room. Buffet breakfast, not included in room rate, had a good choice of food and a relatively modest price restaurant menu as well. Public transport, Tram, is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. However, the journey to the centre takes 10/15 minutes so not ideal for business travellers without a car. I can't comment on English being spoken as was mentioned in some reviews, as we didn't need to use it. Hotel only has payable private parking 🅿 but street parking outside the hotel is fine , our car was parked in the same place for 4 days, no problem. No hesitation in staying here again on our next visit to Heidelberg. There are NO Covid or sanitary restrictions at the hotel at this time.

Location: It is located in a Dutch residential area 4 kilometers away from the center of the old city of Heidelberg, so the location is on the outskirts of the city. If you rent a car privately, it is no problem. If you want to walk out at night, don't choose this hotel. On the navigation route, we turned around several times due to road construction, and I thought we had chosen a rural area.
The hotel is very cost-effective and much cheaper than the old town. The breakfast is a typical German breakfast, which is very good.
The hotel is small, with only thirty or forty rooms, and the facilities are new.
I thought I had chosen the wrong hotel, but when I had breakfast in the morning, I discovered that this hotel was highly booked by foreigners. There were almost no people of color. It was entirely a hotel occupied by Germans.
