Definitely a solid Marriott Hotel. I’ve found the standards dropping at many Marriott properties but this one is great. Unlike many, it’s modern and the lobby bar has a good atmosphere. Good food and plenty of it! The staff are fun to be around. The reception staff are also very helpful and the rooms are large, modern and comfortable. The executive lounge is a little disappointing as it’s small and the hot food and wine offer is average, but there are few properties that offer the typical fare we all git used to when we started using Marriott 15 years ago. I’ll definitely return!

I am extremely disappointed with Marriott and this specific location. I booked a King size bed reserved and paid for ahead of time. Upon my arrival I was downgraded to a smaller bed, and no type of compensation offered for the downgrade. Additionally, the rooms here used to have bottled water, and upon arrival they used to offer you a complementary drink 🍸. Now they are more expensive and offer nothing.

Friendly staff and good standard room. I will say the bathroom was unnecessarily tiny. Breakfast was great. Executive Lounge is rather basic but nice to have. Great pool, although water was pretty cold at the time.

What to say... Staying at the property for several days, having the "Due Not Disturb" hanger on the door, then the hanger falls off. The cleaning crews, just barging in ( no announcements, just barely, softly knocking), then being surprised that I tell them off. Never seen cleaners making rounds at 16:30. Stranger though, the FO thinks it is just normal not to announce oneself before using a general key card, potentially invading somebody's privacy. FO then trying to brush me aside, standing ground on their MO to just barging into guest rooms. What a Titanium Elite experience... Only in Germany...

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at Marriott Stuttgart. I was not planning to leave a review, but the series of issues I experienced left me with no choice.

Upon check-in, I clearly requested that the receipt be issued in my name, as the reservation was made under my name and I wanted to receive the Marriott Bonvoy points. Although I had forgotten my credit card, I explained that the captain would be paying for me and for the engineer. I was later called in my room and informed that I would receive a 1,000-point bonus, which I accepted in good faith.

Unfortunately, the problems continued. Our team had only one day and urgently needed our uniforms cleaned before 9:00 a.m. the next morning. We contacted housekeeping several times for laundry pickup, but no one came. As a result, our uniforms were never collected or cleaned, forcing us to wear dirty uniforms the following day, which is completely unacceptable for professional crew members.

In addition, during breakfast, the receptionist was extremely rude, which made the experience uncomfortable. While I chose not to escalate this issue further after he apologized and behaved more professionally the following day, it still added to the overall dissatisfaction.

The most serious issue occurred at checkout. Before leaving early, I once again requested that the receipt be issued in my name. After the captain checked out later, he repeatedly requested the same on my behalf. Despite confirming multiple times, the hotel staff stated it was not possible to issue the receipt in my name. However, they did issue the receipt in the engineer’s name, even though the same captain paid for him as well. This inconsistency is difficult to understand and felt extremely unfair.

As a result, the receipt was issued under the captain’s name, and I was unable to claim my Marriott Bonvoy points, even though the room was booked in my name. My attempt to submit the receipt for points was later denied, which is extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Given that the hotel was able to adjust the receipt for another guest under the same payment conditions, I see no valid reason why this could not have been done for me.

Overall, this stay fell far below the standards I expect from a Marriott property. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that procedures are reviewed to prevent other guests from having a similar experience.
