Hotels in Bayreuth

Was looking for hotel with 2 beds and air conditioning and landed on this one. Last minute trip changes so we were left with limited options. It is an old hotel but the room was clean and the air worked well. Parking was easy with free parking as well as parking deck if free area is full.

Ok but silverfish in the room. One night stopover. Squeky bed and several silverfish spotted in the room getting up at 5AM. Room 207 for reference.

We spend a night at this hotel when we had opera tickets in August. The hotel is well geared up for the festival, with shuttle buses for guests to and from performances (€5 pp fee for return) and a light buffet laid on for departing opera goers. We were also very helpfully given early access to our room. The room itself was fairly basic with good Wi-Fi and a fridge. Breakfast buffet was good with omelettes...

Nothing exceptional about the room, but the staff are superb. Breakfast is good. Reception always helpful. More, the bar steward is on it and quick. The rinderroulade was the best food I've had in Bayreuth over the years. And the beer is toll! Total fantastisch...und meine Deutsch ist schlecht.

Overall this is a decent hotel, maybe a bit outdated with the decor and furniture, but clean and suitable for trips to the city. The rooms are sufficient in size and equipment. Hotel is used for a lot of conferences, and bus tours, so is big, and has lots of rooms. Having said that, the facilities are all fine and well maintained, and our room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel was ecellent too. Excellent quality for the price. Welcoming reception, spotlessly clean room, believe I may have been allocated an upgrade as I had a large double room for myself. Was very positively surprised with the experience. Comfy bed. Plenty of parking spaces.

I arrived and was shown to my room ... WOW ... awesome room! Huge, clean, well spaced. The Free breakfast is spot on! You must try the scrambled eggs. Ill recommend this hotel to all!

The other ratings are not quite fair, you cannot expect a Hilton when booking a room here. It is a lower cost option in Bayreuth, but they also offer a good transfer option to and from the opera house. It is a bit out of the city, but the bus stop is in front of the hotel. This is a wonderful hotel that makes any visit to the Bayreuth Wagner Festival extremely special. Little touches include the little note at breakfast announcing the forthcoming performance, the apéro in the afternoon before a shuttle-bus trip to and from the Festspielhaus and the option to dine after a performance. Even seeing the music on the stave above the beds is charming.

Great old hotel, come experience a unique 300 year old structure, fully modernized with all the comforts. Restaurant was closed for dinner but breakfast wonderful, fresh cooked eggs, bread local jams and honey.

This youth hostel is more expensive than others, but it also offers a lot more. There is a lot of areas where you can spend time as a group, and at breakfast there are uncommon options like dried banana and - at select days, possibly on weekends? - smoothies. The thing we disliked most is having only one key card per room. If you don't mind this, I can fully recommend this hostel.

The architecture of the hostel was very nice and modern. Also, it had enough room for other activities like sports etc. I’ve also liked the outdoor balconies. Unfortunately, they didn’t have vegan options for food, only vegetarian. Hopefully, this can be improved.

This house provides an outstanding experience for families. A modern and most inviting architecture aligns itself nicely to a most professional service by a uniquely friendly staff. The house is clean, the common areas, and rooms are welcoming and warm. There is a sport field in the backyard, and you may enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the terrasse.

Hostel, mostly for children (lots of children approx.12 yrs). Nice and a little bit futuristic indoors - lots of wood and colour. Hostel rules: eating in rooms is prohibited (but comfy eating room you can use any time), no everyday change of bed lining and towel, only one towel provided, no free soap in the bathroom, no hairdryer. Clean and sanitary, next to the train station but with good sound insulation, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the city center, very convenient. The staff are also very nice!

We had a short stay at the hotel. The location is ok , close the city center , staffs are friendly , room is small but cozy ,good window view . Parking is 8 euros per night , kettle is free with 20 euros as a deposit.

The service is poor, the air conditioner in the room does not heat the room, and you have to go to the front desk to get a hair dryer. This brand has no user-friendly thinking at all, and they only make things difficult for customers to make things convenient for themselves.

The environment, service and location are impeccable. It's very convenient to go to the theater on foot.

It is close to the train station and was recently revampled.

The staff are excellent from the front desk to breakfast room to house-keeping. My room was 15 meters from the train station and I could hear announcements and obviously, trains. However, with the windows and doors closed, it was surprisingly quiet.

We found the Bayerisher Hof to be just right for our 2 night stay. All of the staff were very friendly and happy to help us with directions and with booking restaurants as needed. We had chosen the hotel because dogs are allowed and I must say that I was positively surprised by the friendly welcome that both we and the dogs had when we arrived. Room was spacious and comfortable. The main road can be rather busy, so the night wasn't too quiet, but nonetheless we slept well. Breakfast was excellent!

It's a very ordinary hotel. Because it's Sunday, you have to operate the machine yourself, but the location is very good. As soon as you go out, you will find the old town of Bayreuth. It is very convenient to various attractions.

I couldn't find a campsite in Bayreuth, so I stayed at Poseidon. It was great because it accommodated four people. The location was right next to the central square, so it was perfect for a walk and a beer. I highly recommend coming with friends... But please be patient if you're coming with a partner.

It was an old hotel. Every equipment in the room was very old. TV in my room had no signal and didn't work. It was cleaned up in the room. When I checked in, a reception lady said only two times, "your name?" and "room number 17".

Old-fashioned villa and bungalow, very close to the city center, about half an hour's walk to the Festival Theater of the Bayreuth Festival. The breakfast is okay. There is usually no one at the front desk. The staff can only be seen during breakfast. It is a loose management.

The place itself is super cool, it has a great atmosphere. My husband's steak was amazing, I had the fish which was pretty good. We loved the drinks selection, but it took a while for the server to take our orders. All in all we liked it, would recommend and will be coming back!

We were staying at the hotel next door and came here for dinner. We also tried some of the beers, there was a great variety to choose from. The food we ordered Roast Beef and Lammhaxe were absolutely delicious. A wonderful spot for a tasty meal and a good drink!

The room was very clean and tidy. It wasn't until breakfast that I realized how many people were staying there. The parking lot is underground; I had to walk around it twice before I noticed, haha!

Amazing location, clean and cozy room. The only thing is that they put two single blankets on a double bed which both were considerably short and narrow for a guy like me (185cm). I need to heat up the room it was a little cold for me, but unfortunately the air-conditioning was set to central setting which did not allow me to increase the temperature. But everything else was real good.
