Pretty old hotel, the floor without heating is freezing during winter.

Was looking for hotel with 2 beds and air conditioning and landed on this one. Last minute trip changes so we were left with limited options. It is an old hotel but the room was clean and the air worked well. Parking was easy with free parking as well as parking deck if free area is full.

Beautiful new suana and steambath on the 6th floor. Great breakfast. Lucky to be staying with a De Lorean club with 50 DMC12s

Ok but silverfish in the room. One night stopover. Squeky bed and several silverfish spotted in the room getting up at 5AM. Room 207 for reference.

We spend a night at this hotel when we had opera tickets in August. The hotel is well geared up for the festival, with shuttle buses for guests to and from performances (€5 pp fee for return) and a light buffet laid on for departing opera goers. We were also very helpfully given early access to our room. The room itself was fairly basic with good Wi-Fi and a fridge. Breakfast buffet was good with omelettes...

Nothing exceptional about the room, but the staff are superb. Breakfast is good. Reception always helpful. More, the bar steward is on it and quick. The rinderroulade was the best food I've had in Bayreuth over the years. And the beer is toll! Total fantastisch...und meine Deutsch ist schlecht.

Good hotel, facilities and service are good

The hotel is new and clean, but it is too close to the train station. I was woken up by the train at 3:30. The only pity is that

The room is too small, and I was scared by a black monkey decoration in the room 😟 It is near the train station and the transportation is very convenient.

Clean and sanitary, next to the train station but with good sound insulation, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the city center, very convenient. The staff are also very nice!

The staff are excellent from the front desk to breakfast room to house-keeping. My room was 15 meters from the train station and I could hear announcements and obviously, trains. However, with the windows and doors closed, it was surprisingly quiet.

We found the Bayerisher Hof to be just right for our 2 night stay. All of the staff were very friendly and happy to help us with directions and with booking restaurants as needed. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable, great location at train station and easy walk to all attractions including the brilliant Oskar restaurant. Easy bus 303 to hermitage from station. An excellent breakfast continually topped up with extra fresh delights.

Great old hotel, come experience a unique 300 year old structure, fully modernized with all the comforts. Restaurant was closed for dinner but breakfast wonderful, fresh cooked eggs, bread local jams and honey.

The other ratings are not quite fair, you cannot expect a Hilton when booking a room here. It is a lower cost option in Bayreuth, but they also offer a good transfer option to and from the opera house. It is a bit out of the city, but the bus stop is in front of the hotel. My wife and I recently stayed at Goldener Hirsch for three nights during the Festival. The facility was spotless, the staff was warm and inviting, and we have already booked again for next year. If you will be staying in Bayreuth, look nowhere else.

We had chosen the hotel because dogs are allowed and I must say that I was positively surprised by the friendly welcome that both we and the dogs had when we arrived. Room was spacious and comfortable. The main road can be rather busy, so the night wasn't too quiet, but nonetheless we slept well. Breakfast was excellent!

The hotel is located in the historic part of Bayreuth, close to the main attractions. The room was clean and comfortable for a business trip. The staff was professional, and check-in was quick. The breakfast was basic but good. A good option for a short stay in the city.

The room was very clean and tidy. It wasn't until breakfast that I realized how many people were staying there. The parking lot is underground; I had to walk around it twice before I noticed, haha!

This is a wonderful hotel that makes any visit to the Bayreuth Wagner Festival extremely special. Little touches include the little note at breakfast announcing the forthcoming performance, the apéro in the afternoon before a shuttle-bus trip to and from the Festspielhaus and the option to dine after a performance. Even seeing the music on the stave above the beds is charming.

In Bayreuth for Festspiele. Good room, but no refridgerator. Good breakfast. Fairly close to old town. Shuttle bus available for Festspielhaus events..Restaurant offers dinner after Festspielhaus events (requires reservation). Parking available (at charge).

We had a short stay at the hotel. The location is ok , close the city center , staffs are friendly , room is small but cozy ,good window view . Parking is 8 euros per night , kettle is free with 20 euros as a deposit.

Small, modern and clean room. Good breakfast. Hotel is close to railway station but quiet when windows are closed.

The service is poor, the air conditioner in the room does not heat the room, and you have to go to the front desk to get a hair dryer. This brand has no user-friendly thinking at all, and they only make things difficult for customers to make things convenient for themselves.

The environment, service and location are impeccable. It's very convenient to go to the theater on foot.

The place itself is super cool, it has a great atmosphere. My husband's steak was amazing, I had the fish which was pretty good. We loved the drinks selection, but it took a while for the server to take our orders. All in all we liked it, would recommend and will be coming back!

We were staying at the hotel next door and came here for dinner. We also tried some of the beers, there was a great variety to choose from. The food we ordered Roast Beef and Lammhaxe were absolutely delicious. A wonderful spot for a tasty meal and a good drink!

Modern everywhere except IT there is no checkin, even the counter in the beer restaurant in the near is always empty. In 2024, when only a lazy does not talk about intelligence in IT, here I have to stay near the entrance door in a winter coat with all my luggage and type in in an iPad everything what can be just queried from the booking service or posted in advance. It's a very ordinary hotel. Because it's Sunday, you have to operate the machine yourself, but the location is very good. As soon as you go out, you will find the old town of Bayreuth. It is very convenient to various attractions.

I couldn't find a campsite in Bayreuth, so I stayed at Poseidon. It was great because it accommodated four people. The location was right next to the central square, so it was perfect for a walk and a beer. I highly recommend coming with friends... But please be patient if you're coming with a partner.

It was an old hotel. Every equipment in the room was very old. TV in my room had no signal and didn't work. It was cleaned up in the room. When I checked in, a reception lady said only two times, "your name?" and "room number 17".

Old-fashioned villa and bungalow, very close to the city center, about half an hour's walk to the Festival Theater of the Bayreuth Festival. The breakfast is okay. There is usually no one at the front desk. The staff can only be seen during breakfast. It is a loose management.

Pretty comfortable rooms and great service though the rooms seem to be a bit old on the first view. But all in all a great hotel and a great price! The buffet at the included restaurant was also delicious!

This youth hostel is more expensive than others, but it also offers a lot more. There is a lot of areas where you can spend time as a group, and at breakfast there are uncommon options like dried banana and - at select days, possibly on weekends? - smoothies. The thing we disliked most is having only one key card per room. If you don't mind this, I can fully recommend this hostel.

The architecture of the hostel was very nice and modern. Also, it had enough room for other activities like sports etc. I’ve also liked the outdoor balconies. Unfortunately, they didn’t have vegan options for food, only vegetarian. Hopefully, this can be improved.

This house provides an outstanding experience for families. A modern and most inviting architecture aligns itself nicely to a most professional service by a uniquely friendly staff. Hostel, mostly for children (lots of children approx.12 yrs). Nice and a little bit futuristic indoors - lots of wood and colour. Hostel rules: eating in rooms is prohibited (but comfy eating room you can use any time), no everyday change of bed lining and towel, only one towel provided, no free soap in the bathroom, no hairdryer. It was a very good choice on the way to BioFach. A better option for us and cheaper as if to stay in Nurnberg. It is 1 hour away from the Messe, but 3 times cheaper option in a nice and very comfortable small town. We had a very delicious lunch in a traditional German-style restaurant next to the hotel. Room is basic, clean, modern, fit for purpose. We're staying here monthly so it must be good. The online ordered free bottle of water is NEVER there.

Amazing location, clean and cozy room. The only thing is that they put two single blankets on a double bed which both were considerably short and narrow for a guy like me (185cm). I need to heat up the room it was a little cold for me, but unfortunately the air-conditioning was set to central setting which did not allow me to increase the temperature. But everything else was real good.

Almost contactless service. Rooms are clean and everything you need is there. Nothing to complain about. Perfect for a short stay without great demands.
