Many thanks to the team of the hotel Siegfreidbrunnen for welcoming the participants of the Summer School of the EU MSCA project CLOUD-DOC! The Summer School was of great success. Participants could concentrate on the training programme, could have fun at the swimming pools, and hike in the wonderful surrounding woods.

Rooms are clean and well maintained. Gym was good with several machines, not big thou. No water to drink inside the room, but here we can drink from the tap, I think. And this place became more attractive on my second day after the breakfast and hiking to Siegfried Brunnen. What a magical place! I can truly not say enough about how excellent my stay at the Siegfried Brunnen hotel in Grasellenbach was. The staff were all very kind and attentive. Most of them spoke English which was great for me, because my German is nien. The location is stunning in the beautiful Odenwald. There are beautiful hiking trails in every direction and the forest is truly straight out of a fairy...

We were here mid-week for coffee and cake. We had been here before and I felt that their selection of cakes was less than several years ago. The quality of their cakes is good and I would have enjoyed it more if the service had been little friendlier. There was only one other couple in the cafe at the time we entered.

Very helpful staff, when they are available. The staff are gone in the evening, as the hotel has no dinner available. The trouble is that the other 2 dining places in this town were fully occupied, so we had to get in a car and go neighbouring towns to get some food... The hotel has a good cakes selection. WiFi is not great, but usable. The rooms could use some renovation.

Freindly, outstanding cafe, lovely breakfast. The rooms are a bit 70s, (I actually liked that) but lacked for nothing, and to be honest, as a walker mine was perfect and actually very atmospheric. Nice place. And the bread rolls - heaven!

Not bad for an overnight stay. A little out of the center and the car park is tricky to find. Rooms were clean enough if a little dated and the service on reception was a little blunt but that’s okay. Absolutely fine for the price we paid and wouldn’t expect much more.

It was a little dated but clean. Not particularly convenient location as not really in the city center. The restaurant was not running on monday night nor were most places in the city. No fridge or coffee maker/hot pot.

Nice place in the middle of a beautiful landscape

The Location view and hotel itself are nice, but the service and the breakfast are not worth what we pay for.

One of the cleanest hotels I have ever seen! It is new and also well serviced. The location is more than wonderful with a beautiful landscape and a stunning view, fell in love instantly! Totally nice, uncomplicated hostess. Use of the kitchen is no problem, beautiful garden for cozy get-togethers, simple but functionally furnished rooms at an unbeatable price. Has been a guest several times and will come back again when I'm in the area.

Haus Irene is a super cute family-owned hotel. It is in a very nice location, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is small but nice and there are nice lounge areas inside and in the garden. Thanks to the extremely nice staff, it almost feels like you're visiting friends. Highly Recommended.

There's absolutely nothing to complain about here. The room is a good size, the bed is very comfortable, and the bathroom has a bathtub. Breakfast was excellent. Freshly prepared omelets made to order. A very good selection and delicious salads from the buffet. The very friendly and helpful staff also deserve special mention.

At the very late night they reach for another NH hotel to stay as they were full, great people doing great service. Really appreciated, i was very tired... thanks a lot.

We thought breakfast was included in our stay. When we booked with *******. So we were there for 3 nights and we were charged for (2x3) 6 breakfast. The hotel is across from the train station. Great location, great staff.great buffet breakfast.

Repetition in the very positive atmosphere. How long have we been coming to the Bacchus Hotel in Bensheim? More than 15 years? Perfect service, quality and contact with staff. Very special how things work here. We feel very comfortable here, even though the hotel is a business-oriented place. The individual does not suffer from this at all. The rooms, parking and (super!) breakfast are fantastic.

Did not like that breakfast was an additional 20€ charge per person. Could not even get a free coffee. However, we enjoyed our stay, staff was excellent and we would stay here again.

One of the best hotels I visited. I had a lovely room. Eventhought I am tall and the ceiling was lower in the 3rd floor I myself quite enjoy the overnight stay. Breakfast was really yummy. :)

I attended a seminar in the hotel. The food was delicious and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful :-) Parking around the hotel was good as well and I didn't have any issues in finding a parking spot for my car !

We very much enjoyed the view and location of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and the host hospitable. We were able to venture to the castle and the city center with ease.

A very comfortable and welcoming family-run hotel. The owners are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and mine had a balcony looking out over the Neckar, perfect place to relax after a busy day. Dinner in the onsite restaurant was delicious and a wide choice at breakfast. I would be happy to return.

A family-run hotel, full of character and charm. Really appreciated the balcony overlooking the Neckar river and the ability to chat to my friend in the room next door. The owners were ready to offer advice about public transport into the centre of Heidelberg, as well as local events. The restaurant offered a good quality breakfast and evening meal. Best of all, we really did feel welcome.

Very peaceful, the scenery towards neckar river and its surrounding is amazing. The staff very helpful and kind. The wifi provided by the hotel is also fast. The bus stop is in front of the hotel so it's very easy to travel by bus. It is very easy to visit the old bridge by bus

This was a nice quiet place to stay away from the busy town, but still within a short walk from the Schloss Heidelberg. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Quiet hotel in the hills next to Heidelberg. Old city center only 10 minutes away. Nice place to slow down and relax. No AC in room, so very warm if it’s hot outside. Staff very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was superb. Typical German breakfast offerings, so don’t expect eggs and bacon or beans and sausages.

I stayed for 3 nights. The neighborhood is very nice, connected to the city with public transportation which is in ~5min walking distance. The rooms are very simple but HUGE!, basic good quality breakfast. Thank you.

We really enjoyed this hotel! Perfect if you have a car, not far at all from downtown Heidelberg. The staff was really friendly, the guy who runs the place is a chef, so would really recommend if you have the chance to have a meal there (thats not breakfast). A nice hotel near the centre of Handschuhsheim, Heidelberg. I went for one of the larger rooms which turned out to be giant and was nice. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast (buffet style) was good.

The property is in a very nice area, with easy access - either walking or by tram - to the old town of Heidelberg. The room itself could have been very nice, if it had curtains (!!), some guidance on what lightswitch does what, and a better maintained shared toilet / bathroom. There are also no parking spaces at the property, so guess have to obtain temporary parking permits from the property for ...

Light bulbs were missing - in the hallway and in the room and bathroom. Had to use my handy light to see and unlock the door. The dinner I had was really good though. The room seemed clean but the bathroom could use some work.

Nice place for a hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. Unluckily no parking places reserved for the hotel. No breakfasts and no People on the reception in the morning without any message of warning. Bed broke down when sitting on it, was clearly damaged previously and not properly repaired.

Beautiful natural rural setting off the beaten path which is just what we were looking for. Nature paths with farm animals within view, berries, apple orchards, and German handcrafts on display. Breakfast was wonderful and the woman who served breakfast was kind and polite.

The rooms are rustical, extremely clean, with black-out courtains (for me a crucial point to get a great night sleep). Breakfast service is great, sufficient variaty. Excellent hotel. Used the automated kiosk for late arrival and it worked fine. Had the top level room for 3 with separate sleeping rooms. It was air conditioned, very cute, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was wonderful including some American touches including scrambled eggs and bacon for a nice touch of home. Staff was very nice and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Luxurious and delightful property by the river, just across the bridge from old Heidelberg. We loved the beautiful decor, the robes and slippers, comfy bed, cozy sitting area, and plenty of books to read! The breakfast was next level- everything you could want after a morning hike up the schlangenweg or up to the Schloss. Or both. I recommend you do both, one at sunset and one at sunrise 🌄🌅 the TV...

Honestly we would come back here if time allows. Aside for some minor details these rooms we’re very Nice to stay in for multiple days. The location is perfect and the staff are friendly.

Hotel, staff and area were wonderful! Our bathroom was huge (unlike most European standards) the shower head was great! Only complaint was that the internet was really slow. Hotel needs to Consider MESH WiFi network.
