Holiday Inn Express Wiesbaden by IHG in Wiesbaden

The hotel itself it’s OK. now there is no room service you have to go downstairs and order everything yourself the food and the drinks are quite expensive. I try to do streaming from my phone into the TV and it was not possible. The technology in the hotel is very old and I would not recommend. The shampoo ran out in my room and never got replaced. They clean your room every four days, which is ridiculous. The hotel is very expensive and not worth the amenities that they offer. I would not pay or book this hotel out of my own pocket. The breakfast is very basic not a lot of options just eggs Bread and cheese not very good for the money that you’re being charged. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My money got stolen from my room by the house keeping staff and hotel didn't cooperated. They asked me to file a complaint at police station. My cash was in my bag with my passports. There was no locker available in the room hence I left the cash in a hidden pocket of my sling bag along with my passports. I filed a complaint with police and it's been 2 weeks no response from them as well. I

We were the guests staying in 3 rooms, but the shower gel and shampoo were out of stock in 2 rooms, unable to shower. So we called the counter and spoke to a male staff member who was thin and had dark skin. On 3/8/2025 at around 10:55 PM, the staff told us to move rooms immediately, which we could not move rooms at this late hour because we had already unpacked our bags. The staff also told us to wait another 10 minutes and that they would contact us back, but they did not. So we went down to the counter and took both empty bottles of shower gel to ask for a replacement. The staff gave us a new bottle of shower gel. We, the customers, never heard an apology from the staff. We think that this is very bad service to the customers. This should not be done to other customers again. There should be more ethics in customer service. If you are not ready to work in service, it would be better to rest at your home. Thank you very much.

I go to a lot of IHG 3 stars hotels and this is not the standard.
I wouldn't even rate it 2 stars.
We got 2 rooms checking in at 9 pm.
We had to wait for service at the desk for 15 minutes while 1 receptionist handled 1 visitor (which was OK) but Hu the other one cared too much on selling water bottles (where is the priority??) .
In one room the drainage in the shower was almost clogged. After one shower the water almost spilled out.
The other room looked like this hotel used to be a home for the elderly.
The rooms also don't have safes.
Behind the sink there were stains from the last people that used this room.
Also - usually 3 stars hotels offer a variety of tea bags. I only had English breakfast....
And after a good night sleep came the breakfast. Oh my god.
So poor, weak, diluted...
The soft boiled eggs were hard.
The omelets had so much flour in them you don't even know it had eggs.
The few vegetables they had there looked a few days old.
At my home the breakfast is much better.
Even the covered parking has only about 15 spots, half of them are either handicapped spots or electric charging. The rest of the spaces are outside and does not have a comfortable access to the elevator or to the hotel in general.
To conclude - we only stayed here for one night on the way home. But I don't see any reason to stay here for any purpose.
