Great accommodation with great breakfast. Polite staff.
The dinner in the restaurant was not good. Having to eat in a corner of the lobby was very unsatisfactory (especially when the bar was full of loud people).
A fun gimmick having a small bag to place on the door handle to be filled with goodies in exchange of not having the room cleaned🥳

Got a room with 2 beds even after requesting for one big bed, they promised to change our room the next day but on inquiry, staff was dismissive bordering rude... So we let it be. On checkout, there was no hot water very early in the morning, unfortunately our experience with some staff was not very good, especially at the reception area, but the restaurant, bar guys, they were quite pleasant.

It’s absolutely unacceptable to inform guests only 30 minutes before arrival that there was a so-called “technical glitch” resulting in three overbooked rooms. Our reservations were made and confirmed 22 days in advance, leaving no excuse for such poor management and lack of communication. Although we were moved to a nearby hotel, the transition was handled poorly, and the staff seemed to boast that it was offered “for the same price,” as if that excused the inconvenience. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Beautiful hotel, great location
It is a great hotel with an excellent location. I would say the only downfall is no air conditioning and therefore open windows, which were located at a very noisy road. That put a bit of a damper in an otherwise great experience.

This was a very nice hotel with beautiful rooms. They offer on-site outdoor parking for €16/night which is the most we have had to pay for parking on our trip. Also, the fee WiFi worked flawlessly in the lobby but kept cutting out in the room which was quite frustrating.

Everything costs extra; parking, pets... The food was just ordinary and we were expecting more from a high class hotel.

Very nice building/ambience with great parking spaces.
Rooms are cute and clean, little dated but nothing serious.
The hotel‘s location is excellent to walk to the historic city center and other sights in Hildesheim.
There was a burlesque dinner event when I was. Excellent mood and good fun.

Cold room :(
The heating in my room did not work. The fact that the reception did not seem surprised by this leads me to believe it has been a long time defective. Hotel fully booked so room change impossible. I was offered a small convection heater but this is not 4 star accomodation if you have to deal with this. Staff are friendly and helpful but they are not plumbers so they cant really help you. Everything else was acceptable.

A good hotel with a beautiful historical building and a combination of old and modern architecture with a nice garden and outdoor area.
One of the big disadvantages is that in summer time it’s very hot inside the room even with a fan and an open window, some nights i didn’t slept well because of the heat.
For me it’s recommended to have a stay in winter season.
A little bit noisy when you open the window to get fresh air.
The bathtubs are somehow slippery and dangerous. To get outside the shower area you have to be very careful is a step of 30cm approximately.
The room door is not very well maintained you have to force to close.
No safe box in the room.
A very very basic breakfast for a four stars hotel.
Overall i would give a 3/5 including a bonus point.

Best location in HI. Very friendly staff. Great atmosphere in front of and inside the hotel. Everything you could possibly need for a city trip. The building's history gives it a special charm.
