Another fun hotel in the wine region of Freyburg. Service was excellent, modern rooms were cleverly designed, superb wine selection and a great restaurant. Nice touch were the serving plates for breakfast with a selection of cheeses,fish and cold meats. Best was the "automated wine dispensing system“ - terrific way to taste a wide range.

Modern hotel in a great setting. The rooms are large and well equipped with a great design. Breakfast is plentiful and no wish is neglected. The best especially if you travel by train, you can see the hotel right at the exit..Around the hotel there are stores like Aldi, Deichmann, DM....no need to go anywhere far on a rest day....short walk to the Dom, the Nietzche haus, and the Christmas market....The hotel itself is lovely and clean. The receptionist was not at all welcoming and simply asked for our names, handed us a key, and told us how to get to the room. The receptionist who handled check out was not very friendly either. Excellent hotel, spacious rooms, free parking. They have their own beer garden and a small playground for children. As the hotel is an old factory-style building built into a hillside, the hotel comes with some staircases and uphill walking before you arrive in your room. People with wheelchair should probably better contact the hotel in advance.

8/10 The hotel is a little old. The cleaning was very good, but there were cobwebs outside as if the windows had not been opened for a long time. The pillows are so soft that you can only sleep with two of them.

Good location for my purposes. Starts to show its age, there is wear and tear everywhere. There are no power sockets next to beds for charging and also the desk does not have sockets for computer. Minibar was loaded, which is also not so fashionable any more. Breakfast is still as good as always.

Beautiful renovated castle hidden in the middle of nowhere. Transpiring hundreds of years of history in a very quiet and serene setting in the green. We had a delicious gourmet dinner that could easily have been served in a top Parisian restaurant.

Very charming castle, kept in style, renovated with attention to details. The town or the closest surroundings are not too special but castle itself is. Guests can visit the tower if ask for the key at the reception. Communicating with staff is difficult because rhey are poor in English. Breakfast was excellent, bar area average.

It’s been over 10 years but our stay here is still a top experience in our travels. It’s a beautiful castle in a very quiet and lovely town. The rooms were lovely. The grounds were well kept, peaceful and welcoming. The staff were all friendly and professional and the wedding we were there to attend was simply incredible! This is a very unique Italian restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. The owners are wonderful people to begin with, that gave that place a lot of charm. The food is a lavish travel through the Italian cuisine and the quality is perfect. Did I mention that they have a great selection of vines and that you need to try their espresso, after all? I'd like to review the hotel in Zeitz where I always stay on business trips. It's super clean, and the breakfast is simply delicious! The staff is very nice and friendly, which always makes you feel well looked after. An additional plus point is the large parking lot right in front of the hotel, and the location in the heart of town couldn't be better. If I stay in Zeitz, it's only here! Highly recommended

This was my second time as a guest, but due to the disappointment this time it will definitely be the last time. If you are dependent on a socket directly by the bed, you should clarify this at the beginning. However, upon request I was helped with an extension cord. Absolutely terrible air conditioning indoors during a very hot summer week. Excellent staff and excellent food for breakfasts boosted my rating or it would be much lower. Europe in general has tiny uncomfortable mattresses on the beds vs what we have in the USA, but I've always encountered that over the past 20 years, so I don't hold that against ibis.

Our overall stay was pleasant. I want to appreciate the staff mostly. They were very cordial and supportive throughout our stay. The location is great! Very near to public transportation. Everything we needed was nearby. Breakfast was good.

Average 3 stars hotel. Good by comparison, reasonably clean with adequate breakfast.

Pretty run down, in a rather run down area. The whole building smelled of old cooking oil. There was also cigarette smoke in the lobby.

Nice cozy rooms. They got a small (cardio only) fitness room, they also got scrambled eggs for breakfast. What else can you ask for? And Ibis for example has none of that.

Great location, right in front of the tram station, great connections. A remarkable breakfast buffet and staff who were attentive to hotel guests.

This hotel was conveniently located a 7 minute walk from the DB station at Jena West and a 1 minute walk to the street car station. It was also located at the central mall great for coffee and breakfast. I went to a Jena Basketball game this was super convenient!

Newly renovated, so it was better than expected. Wish it had an air conditioner, because summer is just too hot to stay without it these days.

Very nice hotel. Located next to shopping mall and in the middle of the city. We were staying on the 8th floor. The room was so quiet and the bed was comfortable.

Amazing hotel in a great location in downtown Jena. I travel a lot and had some of the best sleep ever in this hotel. The breakfast is awesome and at a terrific price. I was pleasantly surprised to find three kinds of gluten free bread here, something unprecedented anywhere. They also have a decent restaurant that serves dinner. Their steaks are grilled to perfection and are certainly among the best...
