A fantastically beautiful castle. Very pleasant staff and delicious food. Massages are recommended. Quiet location, nice rooms, very clean.

Our whole family stayed at the castle hotel from November 26th to 28th and 21st. We were completely satisfied with the rooms, the staff was pleasant and attended to all our needs, and even the fireplace in the bar was turned on especially for us. The food in the restaurant was very good. Despite Coronavirus, it was a very nice weekend. We're thinking about holding another family reunion next year at Schlosshotel Schkopau.

We recently held our annual corporate offsite at Schlosshotel Schkopau, and the experience left a lasting impression on the entire team. From the first inquiry through to the farewell, we were treated less like a booking and more like guests of the house — the kind of warm, family-run hospitality you simply don’t find in conference hotels. The setting itself made the event. Walking our colleagues through the historic halls, dining beneath the original architectural details, and running our working sessions in rooms with genuine character — these are the things people are still talking about months later. Several team members told us it was the most memorable offsite they had ever attended. What impressed us most was how naturally the team balanced the heritage atmosphere with a professional, executive-ready setup. Catering, technology, breakout spaces — everything worked, quietly and on time. We will be back, and I would recommend Schlosshotel Schkopau without hesitation to any company looking for a venue that genuinely stays with its guests.!!

Stayed at Schlosshotel Schkopau with my family and had a great experience. Beautiful historic castle with modern comfort, very clean rooms, and friendly staff. Quiet surroundings, perfect to relax with kids. The food was amazing and worth iss price. Would definitely come back.

We arrived today full of anticipation with our family, only to find the doors locked due to an alleged “technical issue". While such incidents can of course happen — especially in historic buildings during winter — at this price point the very least one would expect is advance notice.
Instead, we made the trip for nothing.
To make matters worse, I now have to take care of getting my money refunded myself. Extremely disappointing and poorly handled.
Thanks for nothing. This was our first and last visit.

Only highlight? Leaving.
Felt more like a dare than a hotel stay.

In May 2024 i visited this Hotel. Very nice location, nice big room, Restaurant was not for visiting a second time but in the service I'm very disappointed.
I forgot my jacket, the Hotel found it, i asked to send it to me, the costs were Eur 17,- I paid, but never received my jacked. Ok, maybe stuck in the post company? I have sent several mails to the Hotel again...no answer...nothing. To this hotel i go never again. For new guests: Please don't forget your clothes....

Beautiful renovated castle hidden in the middle of nowhere. Transpiring hundreds of years of history in a very quiet and serene setting in the green. We had a delicious gourmet dinner that could easily have been served in a top Parisian restaurant.

Very charming castle, kept in style, renovated with attention to details. The town or the closest surroundings are not too special but castle itself is. Guests can visit the tower if ask for the key at the reception. Communicating with staff is difficult because rhey are poor in English. Breakfast was excellent, bar area average.

It’s been over 10 years but our stay here is still a top experience in our travels.
It’s a beautiful castle in a very quiet and lovely town.
The rooms were lovely. The grounds were well kept, peaceful and welcoming.
The staff were all friendly and professional and the wedding we were there to attend was simply incredible!
I would happily return one day if I’m able.
