Where to stay in Halle an der Saale

Went there for business lunch, great service from the restaurant, good food, good ambience

The room was cleaned daily but was a bit shabby. The beds were reasonable. The bathroom was ok, but hot water was fitful and it was not often hot enough to allow a bath. No tea making facilities.There was a safe. Quiet enough. Breakfast was good with a reasonable selection. I'm gluten free and that was catered for. The staff were excellent and very helpful.

Excellent staff, functional clean rooms. The only omission was the absence of tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.

Really great stay at Dorint would highly recommend. The rooms are spacious and the staff is courteous.

Very decent hotel. Great location, very sweet and helpful staff. The come for a little chat, they love it if you practice your German. Breakfast is great with vegan(!!) and vegetarian options. Also healthy options. Beds are okay, rooms are clean and neat. Decent large safe in which your laptop fits. Towels are clean and soft. Free water

Wonderful property for a couple in the heart of Halle, close to tram station.

The man at reception on our arrival day was very unfriendly. We arrived later than planned, and although there were parking spaces in front of the hotel, he told us they were fully booked. He said the parking spaces were reserved for the next day, but there was no space for us, and reserving a space for the next day was impossible. We have to pay €15 per day for parking in another garage, even though...

The Niu chain of hotels are a great addition to the IHG brand. The check-in service was very easy. The personal staff was friendly and kind.

Toilet has a door but not the shower. So, basically no door between room and shower. Not suitable for everyone. Only the Premium rooms have this Service. Was not aware of this beforehand.

It was nice that it was close to the station. The paintings on the hallways and walls were lovely. The breakfast was delicious, but it would have been nice if they had plain water. They had hot water and fruit water. I was given plain water when I asked.

Average 3 stars hotel. Good by comparison, reasonably clean with adequate breakfast.

Pretty run down, in a rather run down area. The whole building smelled of old cooking oil. There was also cigarette smoke in the lobby.

Nice cozy rooms. They got a small (cardio only) fitness room, they also got scrambled eggs for breakfast. What else can you ask for? And Ibis for example has none of that.

The location of the hotel is good. The room is large and the bed huge, and very comfortable, although I would rather have had 2 single beds as was travelling with my son. The bed only had one pillow and one single duvet despite the booking was for 2 people. We found another pillow and duvet in the wardrobe but I do feel the room should have been set up for 2 people. Excellent cost/service balance. The hotel is well located, near the station and also near the old town. I would definitely stay there again.

The location of the hotel is excellent, but the rooms had a bad odor. While the rooms themselves are spacious and nicely appointed, the unpleasant smell detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, check-in was problematic, as our room wasn't ready until 4:30 PM. On the other hand, they are strict about check-out times and charged extra for an additional hour.

Booked a big room for 4 people. Clean, spacious, 5th floor. Working lift. Friendly staff. Bit noisy because of the tram in front of the window. Perfect for an early train (with kids about 5min walk).

We stayed again for about a week, in the suite. What again surprised pleasantly: One of the friendliest staff I ever experienced. The location next to Hauptbahnhof is very convenient, with supermarkets and shops open also weekends. Nice to have complimentary coffee and tea at the lobby any time.

The hotel itself is fine. The staff is friendly at it has what is needed. There was good parking access around the hotel so all was good. But I would go for something a bit closer to the city center next time. Also it had a brothel as a next door neighbor, you can count that as a plus or a minus as you please, but for us it counted towards the negative for the location.

We found ourselves stuck in Halle due to a train malfunction and quickly booked the ibis as we had two small kids in tow. It was a very easy, less than 10 minute walk to the train station. Basic but nice hotel, only 2 minutes' walk from Halle main station. The room was a decent size, and warm, once I turned the radiator thermostat up from zero! Decent breakfast selection.

First thing first, a very very supportive staff ! Nice and clean rooms. Just 5-7 minutes walking distance from Halle (Salle) Hbf. Worth the money, in budget. Frau Timea has been very supportive in providing adopter to charge my phone batteries, she was very helpful in communicating in both English and German. Stayed twice while going to Berlin and coming back. Fantastic experience. Would highly recommend...

My family and I spent a long time in a hotel. With a small child, we liked the service. Very friendly people and always willing to help. Many thanks to the girls Elada and Marina. Because of these people, we were comfortable as at home.

Incredibly quiet, despite being in the heart of the city. The bathroom is brand new, and the kitchenette is very practical. The heating is very good even when it's below zero outside. Easy to find – tram number 12 from the main station – the stop is called Lessingstraße. Reception could be friendlier. Everything from very friendly to the opposite. Highly recommended nonetheless.

The reception is very friendly. Parking can be booked for €10 (highly recommended, as there are practically no spaces available on the street).

Very small rooms, very small shower, the smallest tv and the worst and slowest internet I ever experienced in hotel rooms.. H+ Hotel for example is more cheaper and there is bigger TV and 200Mb/s internet. For exampe, here, if you get lucky, you get 5mbps. Not suitable for business trip where you need good and reliable internet connection.

Good price, clean, good location. A liitle bit basic without glasses, sufficient amount of the electric sockets or other amenities.

I stayed in Halle, in the B&B hotel, direct located at the city centre. It is perfectly accessible by public transportation and you also are lucky with a supermarket direct downstairs. You can reach the Leopoldina in 10 min walk and the train station by tram in 10 min. Recommended.

Nice room at a nice price in a nice location. One issue was that the email they sent had the wrong booking number so we couldn’t use the kiosk to check in. Fortunately, the front desk was open at the time even though the email said it wouldn’t be at that time.

Location great. Staff, as far as I can tell, friendly. Rooms clean. However, nothing about hotel is charming, remotely designy or inviting. The rooms are functional and basic and feel cheap. We paid a 173 for a one night. Too much for a room that feels more like a hostel. I don't think I will be back.

This was the fourth hotel we stayed in over the past six days and we or least favorite. This was the only hotel that did not have an in room mini refrigerator and offered only one pillow. The parking garage was difficult to locate and the cost was €1/hour or €9/day but you could not leave and return without getting another parking pass and paying a new fee.
