Update after ibis‘ response: I was called by Accor today regarding my review. I like that they take feedback seriously. I must correct myself in that I did not book around 6pm, instead it was already after 11pm when I booked. Also, I didn’t try calling around 15 times, it was actually only 5 times. However, my main point still stands: The fact that most(?!) Accor hotels have a 24/7 reception was not known to me and it was precisely part of my concern. Indeed, other hotel brands do not have this, which is why it is not obvious (to me, at least), that Accor does. Which is why adding the information that there is 24/7 check-in would be useful in my opinion.
And I firmly reject the suggestion that something was wrong with how I dialed the number. See screenshot attached. German country code is +49. Then omitting the zero and then the number. I did have reception, too. And the Accor help chat also tried and failed calling. I just called the same number again just now and now it works. Therefore, I suggest - as did your representative calling me today - that your phone operator had a temporary outage. May I suggest you follow up with your phone operator and verify with the service chat logs between Accor and myself on that night.

I booked spontaneously around 6pm but would only arrive around 3am. I wanted to check whether there is a 24/7 reception, since I've had bad experiences in the past with being stranded without a room only becuase I couldn't check-in. There was no mention in any reservation details so I tried calling the number given by the hotel. It was unreachable. I tried around 15 times. I then reached out to Accor support, but they had no other contact to the hotel either. First they weren't very helpful, because they suggested me to try calling again. Then after some back and forth I had them call the hotel but to no avail. My only option was to drive there, anxiously awaiting whether I'd be able to check-in. That drive took around 10 hours. I ended up being able to check in, which is why I give a 2 rating instead of 1. But the overall experience was very dissatisfying.

Not exactly in a central area of town, it’s close to a brothel. Good rooms, bad service. Nobody can speak English (the only way is to use a translator), you have to ask the day before if you want your room to be cleaned. They don’t make you feel welcomed at all. Never coming back
