Such a cool and comforting place to stay. The bed is very comfortable and the staff are very friendly. Very recommended!

Hotel Laurichhof is hands down the best hotel in all of Germany. I have been traveling to Germany for decades, and while Germany has many great hotels, nothing comes close to this gem. It is a design hotel and it shows — every suite is a different, wonderful surprise, and both the outdoor and indoor areas have many wonderful, quirky design elements. And the true star of the show is the wonderful staff — always smiling and very, very helpful. The Laurichhof restaurant is out of this world. Breakfast is both healthy and varried, and the evening Restaurant is truly magical with both an appetizer and three creative courses every night. On top of all that, the hotel has an excellent location — quiet enough for a good night’s rest, yet very central to all the wonderful things to see in Saxony. Close to the national park and all of its wonderful trails, close to the historic town of Pirna, and on a rainy day close to the big city vibe of Dresden. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Try it!

Wonderful hotel with superb front desk service. The rooms on the website are fully accurate. This is a design hotel with rooms reflecting various tastes and layouts that is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed for two nights in the Marrakech Room. The balcony is a wrap-around and huge with separation from mother rooms. Parking in the garage has large spaces with pay-for electric chargers. You are across the Elbe from old town Pirna, and there is a small ferry, free via the hotel, to take you across the river. The ,location is very quiet. There is a courtyard for dinner/drinks in good weather. Breakfast is not included unless you book a package. Location for Swiss Saxony, some of the baroque schlosses or wineries (yes Saxony has good wine), is excellent. The restaurant is attached and the menu on the website is the menu served. The hotel is adding another building across the street. Great stay.

Great place, large rooms

This was just great. I was weary while booking this due to the price. But the hotel and its staff delivered and then some.

The staff is incredibly friendly. The suite we had was spacious and gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious and they will make your coffee and any egg dish (on the menu) should you whish it. We also paid extra for two hours of the sauna which they will book just for you (well worth it). I cannot recommend this hotel enough, truly a masterclass in how a hotel should be run.

Very quirky hotel! Every room has a different theme and it certainly is "different", in a very curious and quirky way. The beds were comfortable, just wish the window would have been bigger in the bedroom for fresh air. Lots of buttons for lighting that are not quite obvious but in return a very spacious bathroom with a great shower! Had breakfast there twice. Smaller buffets but sufficient. We also ate dinner at the hotel, nice preparation as well. The ladies at the front desk were charming.

Stayed here in September for 3 nights in a Blueberry Fields Suite (I believe it was room #8). As we were booking at the last minute, this was the last room we could book. Even though a bit too dark for me, the suite was very comfortable during our short stay. The bathroom was beautiful, the room was spacious and had a small but cozy separate bedroom, large closet space, and a nice balcony overlooking the inner courtyard of the hotel. The location of the room could be troublesome for those with limited mobility; we had to take a few steps up/down whenever going out of the hotel (through the courtyard), and whenever going to the restaurant/ reception building. There is a small luggage elevator at the reception, which is helpful. The parking was at an additional fee and was quite tight, but it was great to have that option to do day trips out of Pirna. The location of the hotel was quite good; in a quieter neighbourhood across the river from the Old Town of Pirna, but not too far away. We walked to Old Town for dinners in the evenings, and that walk over the beautifully lit up bridge was taking no more than 10-15 minutes, and it felt safe and enjoyable. There aren’t many restaurants near the hotel; other than the hotel’s own restaurant. We tried it for breakfast each morning (at a fee), and it was very good; fresh food, lovely presentation, very pleasant staff. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the Laurichhof and thought it was a great choice in Pirna. We were also very pleased with picking Pirna as a hub for exploring the region’s attractions. Highly recommended!

This is possibly the best designed hotel in which I've ever slept. We stayed in the white room - WhiteOut. It was Hobson's choice as almost all of the rooms were already booked for the weekend which we decided on at the last minute. We thought it might be a little bland. Far from it. The dazzling white room was stunning.

The rest of the hotel was as good as the room. The layout, around a central terrace/courtyard, reminded me of some Mediterranean resorts and the design elements that made the room so visually attractive were everywhere, inside and out.

We ate in the restaurant. Not a huge choice but the food was very well cooked and presented.

The staff - reception, breakfast, restaurant, bar, even the housekeeper, with the room-themed hair colour - were as amazing as the hotel. Very welcoming, from the minute we walked in.
