Stadthotel König Albert in Zittau

5 out of 5 stars. The room was great. There was no reception upon arrival; information on how to get the key was only available via an intercom.

Breakfast was small, but it had everything you needed, and items were replenished promptly.

The hotel is quite new, and the room and bathroom are modern and very tastefully furnished. The breakfast room invites you to linger over a very generous and lovingly presented buffet. The staff is very attentive and courteous. We were absolutely delighted. We were overwhelmed when we discovered that even the path to the car in the hotel's parking lot and around the car had been cleared of snow. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay over New Year's.

Spacious room, very comfortable bed. The entire room design is very stylish and tasteful. The location is completely quiet. The breakfast was fantastic! Really good. You can tell the owner has put a lot of heart and soul into it. I booked for a club trip and was showered with praise from the other travelers for the great hotel choice. Everyone was pleasantly surprised.

Why am I deducting one star for service? Personally, I appreciate a reception with real people and prefer that to a key safe. I understand that this isn't always possible in terms of staffing, and I appreciate the affordable rooms. But then it's simply not five-star service. However, the value for money is above average.

What a gem in Zittau!
Nice comfortable rooms in a modernized old building within old town of Zittau.
Breakfast was really generous and fresh and was served in a cozy and bright room.
We would definitely come again.

The quality of the breakfast was quite good but the receptionist was not available after 8:00pm, esp with the price they charged for the room. Everything else is good.

Very, clean, quiet and comfortable place with nicely fitted out and spacious bedrooms.

Great location, price and services.
