Signature Hotel Skarv in Elmshorn

Reception not pleasant

The staff were friendly, and the area is very quiet with easy, free parking nearby. The only complaint is that the bathroom smelled quite bad due to the pipes

Good service and nice welcoming. But hotel looking little tired and area around feels a little rough

We have stayed in hundreds of hotel big and small in Europe. This is an average hotel that does so many things right and a couple of major flaws. The positives: clean hotel and room, good wifi, secure bicycle storage in underground garage, walking distance to train station and restaurants, good elevator, good room and bathroom lighting, comfortable bed. The negatives: no air conditioning and no portable fan for the room, buildings around hotel full of graffiti, guests and hotel staff stand outside front of hotel smoking up a storm and loudly talking all through the night. This wouldn’t be a problem if they had air conditioning and you could close your room window but you can’t. The hotel staff at night seems to go out front and have a cigarette and talk loudly which is right below your open window. Must be nice to get paid to smoke cigarettes and have loud conversations disturbing the guests sleeping in their rooms. The entrance to the hotel is covered with cigarette butts and smelly ashtrays. I wouldn’t stay here again.
