Garner Hotel Elmshorn by IHG in Elmshorn

you have to choose between hot temperature + no air ventilation in room or second hand smoking, I was unlucky with 11 nights booked in July, staff put me on the room above smoking area, where is in front of hotel, there is no air condition or any fan in room, do not expect cold weather here in room, since if you open window to get some fresh air from outside, you will also get smoking air too, and it horrible that 24 hrs smoking here. At first I choose hot temp in room, since doesn't want smoking air, but finally have to wake up and open window to get smoking air for better room temperature, moreover, wall and floor are so thin, you can hear every step of above room's guest, and every time that next room closing the door and window, this is so much worst experience with IHI hotel group.
In the opposite side, staff are really nice and support.
Location is good, close to supermarket and bus station.
Breakfast has no variety and same in everyday.
Restuatant for dinner has good taste of food, service need more improve of service mind.

The bed was comfortable and room large. Rented 2 rooms. Not up to IHG standard. Is outside Hamburg and ought not to be listed as Hamburg. The toilet was dirty in one of the rooms. See photo. No fridge, coffee/Tea, nor air conditioning. Halways smelled. The elevator barely fitted 2 people and shook a little. Disappointed as an IHG member
