Steigenberger Conti Hansa in Kiel

Stayed here for multiple days in two different rooms. The first room was a comfort double room with harbour view. The room was located in the rear part of the building in the 6th floor. It was clean but had no air conditioning, the bed was as expected. The shower in the room was disappointing as there was no good pressure in the pipe and the water only came out of the shower head sparingly. Furthermore, the water temperature was constantly switching from warm to cold to achieve an ambient temperature. Another disappointment was the harbour view (for which you are charged extra). In fact there was no harbour view as it was blocked by the front parts of the building and the trees of the Schlossgarten. The other room I stayed in was Comfort Business Room which was located in the 2nd floor of the front part of the building. The room was clean, had air conditioning (which sometimes worked but mostly showed an error). The bed was as expected. The bathroom in this room was also a disappointment. It was almost impossible to find an ambient temperature for the shower. There was either boiling hot or freezing cold. The rooms seemed to be properly sound proof as I did not hear anything from adjacent rooms. The hotel restaurant only offers two vegan dishes (a salad and fries with ketchup) and the vegan breakfast offerings are limited but there are at least a few. The staff at the front desk and at the bar were friendly and it was possible to drop off our luggage before check in and after check out. High speed internet is only available when you register an account at hrewards and the freely offered slow internet was very slow. After all, I expected more for the price I payed.
