location is good- everything else is terrible.
Bar was closed, hotel beds in single room are terribly small
and there are very uncomfortable pillows- i could not sleep at all. Can not recommend this hotel

We where overbooked at the hotel.. it can happen. However I cannot recommend the service desk, we arrived at 14.30 and asked if we could check-in and they told us we have to wait until 15. I then asked for parking and they recommended the parking in Karstadt for 6€ good deal, so we unloaded the car and I left my wife in the lobby with all suitcases, as I returned 10 minutes later they told us we where overbooked and had to check-in in a different hotel.. why weren't we told this before we unloaded the car and asked the service desk... anyway the fun doesn't end here we where given as "cash card" and told to take this as a gift.. okey I guess with no further instructions I went to get the car thinking that I could leave the car park using this card.. but sadly it did not work so I had to walk all the way back to ask for further instructions.. the silver lining was that we where booked into the Steigenberg Hotel and wow that was something.. I would recommend to start here instead I know the pricediffrences might be high but trust me it's worth it. So no hard feelings to the other Hotel but please try your best to give better instructions next time 🙂

My friend made a reservation for a 4 night stay. When we arrived they told us that due to a „water leak“ there where no rooms available for us ( and other people also waiting for a room in the lobby). Every other hotel in Kiel was booked. When we asked why they didn’t call to let us know in advance the poor woman at the reception almost started crying. She was clearly overwhelmed and didn’t know what to do. When she found us a room at another hotel ( it had a lower rate than Astor) she made us pay the the higher amount for our reservation at Astor or loose the room at the other hotel. I never experienced something like this. Fortunately we liked the other hotel and stayed there for the rest of our trip. We will NEVER book at Astor again!

Expensive and not good secure parking in the garage under the hotel. Crowded, messy, and if the car beside is not good on hold will not print. The location is central and good, the room is very good, very striking and nice bathroom. The breakfast is mediocre.

First of all, a really creepy room was offered to me. After a complaint to the Nordic Hotel Management dealt with my concern very friendly and accommodating.

The Hotel view very nice, the staff is also very nice. But the rooms for the price. very disappointed in a lot of shower almost from each other, the beds had to be the night always together slide because I were not associated with each other in bed, it was broken no one could sleep on it. The Breakfast was very good . How to said but because of the rooms still needs to be worked on if you should correspond the price. 143.-€ can you ask something more.

Very centrally located. Super Breakfast in a great Breakfast room. The rooms have been modernised, unfortunately the bathrooms are still pending.
