Great Experience I liked the place. They take their business really serious. A bit old fashioned and that makes the charm of this hotel. When I arrived on a late Sunday afternoon, the manager on duty insisted to personally show me around and to explain all the features of the hotel to me. I stayed for three days and had a great time. The restaurant is a bit pricey but offers excellent food.

As long as they allow smoking inside hotel (bar area), we will not come back.

Lovely 3-night stay in this great hotel located in an old building with character by the beach. Personnel are supper attentive and pay great attention to detail. Facilities include gym, swimming pool and a spa area with saunas. Great breakfast experience with varied buffet and a la carte options.

Stayed for a week, the room is smaller than expected for the price they charge. The location is great with walking distance to town and beach. We were attracted to the location of this hotel when booking for 5 nights, and it did not disappoint. Easy access not only to the beach, but also to the shopping areas of Westerland, the many restaurants, and to the roadways to Kampen, List and Hornum. We had a nice stay. The service was very friendly and helpful, and the Bing Bing Bap was delicious. Rooms were clean, and the hotel had a pleasant atmosphere. The spa and swimming pool were really good. The highlight for us was the kids’ playroom with someone there to look after the children—such a thoughtful touch!

This is my second time in the Hotel Roth, very satisfied with the varied and good cuisine. Very well trained and attentive staff ensure a relaxing holiday. The house is ideally located near the beach, just a few steps away. The price-performance ratio is absolutely okay.

It is a lovely small hotel. I liked it a lot. Very clean and they welcomed me like a friend. The breakfasts were great. The only thing why I didn’t give them an excellent was, the room was cold and the heater was not working adequately. We had a few very stormy and rainy days, so some heat would have been helful!

The room decor is old and needs updating, the furniture was hard and uncomfortable. The swimming pool photos looked luxurious but reality more like public swimming pool, the indoor hot tub was lukewarm. At check out (10am) there was a long queue and only 1 employee on duty, we waited 25 mins only to hand the keys and bath cards over (had asked if we needed to queue and was told yes, but in fact not...

Beautiful hotel. We stayed in the house across the street which was lovely and spacious with a sauna and nice backyard. It had all the amenities we needed, including a well stocked kitchen so we could make our own meals from time to time. As it’s a bit further from the centre of Sylt, taxis are a bit expensive from here, so would recommend renting a car or e-bikes to get around.

The hotel is located in the largest building in Westerland. The hotel is very well located and easy to reach, even by train. Westerland's beach promenade is right outside the front door. The bathroom has a powerful hairdryer, and the shower water pressure is also one of the strongest I've ever experienced. The service is very good and friendly, as is the breakfast (see photo).

A very centrally located hotel about 10 comfortable walking minutes from the train station. The hotel is a satellite hotel, partly the rooms are outside of the main building but is right around the corner. There is no elevator. The rooms are all very clean! The furniture is very well-kept but a lot of 90s chic. All in all, however, according to the category Top 🙂

Great value for money with tiny flaws that didn't bother us, but probably someone else. There are a few small things to renovate, but nothing big or tragic ...
