From pluses I can only mention that it's kind of central and every room where I have been has a 🛁 bath. Oh, and the reception staff is friendly.

➖️ You can not open the window in winter mode
➖️ Many electrical sockets don't work ( even if I said at the reception that there is a problem with e.x. socket by bed - never fixed
➖️ breakfast is over 10€ !!!!
➖️ Room lighting is terrible. 3 lamps - 2 don't work in every room, almost
➖️ Rooms are not very clean, to be honest, and now they decided that because of corona, they don't clean rooms for stay overs every day but instead every 3rd day. Makes no sense at all apart from money saving on staff.

4 stars mainly based on price and value. As a 4 Star hotel it means you get the privilege to pay for Internet $10, parking $7, breakfast $11, and sauna. The room has ac, but it doesn't work well in either of our two rooms. Even cool outside it couldn't cool our rooms after 2 hours. Eventually gave up and opened windows, but fair amount of noise from the street and bugs because no screens on Windows. Our room was missing the fridge. Beds are on the firm side. Bathrooms are nicely renovated with lots of counter space.
The staff was polite and spoke a little bit of English. Was enough to get by. They were patient and never acted irritated when dealing with our language issues.
Area around the hotel is a mixture of run down abandon buildings and newly renovated structures.

Great place to stay an over nighter. Visited family and this hotel was perfect. The rooms are great, wife slept like a rock. Didn't try breakfast, ate by Family.

In 10 years around the world I can say that the royal inn is one of the cleanest hotel, but no English speaker at the reception and the Wi-Fi really bad

I cannot conceive that there is a front desk that is arrogant and speaks only German knowing that you are a foreigner. There is a really ill disposed and arrogant woman, you speak to her in English and she answers you in German .... inconceivable for an international hotel
