We had a really lovely stay at Out of the Blue Hotel in Crete. The location is absolutely wonderful — surrounded by beautiful beaches and stunning views

The reception and restaurant staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly — they really made us feel at home from the moment we arrived

Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade on arrival, which made our stay even better

We mentioned it was our honeymoon and were surprised with a complimentary room upgrade and romantic setup. The resort’s location made it easy to walk to the beach and town each evening

We had a fabulous 4 night stay in a 3 bedroom maisonette (upgrade from 2 bedroom maisonette). We were 2 adults and a teenager staying in the last week of the season in October

It would have been nice to have a bit more choice, especially towards the end of the season

We rested in the hotel twice. I want to come back for more)))

First this Hotel makes it clear that it is on the side of a hill and not suitable for people with walking difficulties. That being said I must make it clear that it is an extremely step and very of steps everywhere

Service all round fantastic, great rooms, great food choices especially the Taverna and A La Carte both of which, despite being included in the all inclusive package, I would happily have paid extra for

I will simply list my observations and allow you to see the pros and cons regarding this Hotel. It is a very beautiful Hotel 2. There are lots of space and some facilities 5

Lunch is served at the Active pool, which is halfway down the site, meaning you have to walk halfway down the hill for lunch and then back up again afterwards, so if you are at the upper pool, you have to go down the hill for lunch and then back up the hill back to the upper pool

There is only toilets in the basement area under receiption, so a bit of a distance from the dining room, At the Lower pool bar and at the beach bar

Pools were great, and not too busy either, so plenty of opportunities to secure a sunbed. The scenery is amazing and only a short couple of minutes walk down to the beach itself

Beautiful resort! Great staff, amenities and food options. Beach was a quick walk away. Would definitely go back!

We were pleased with the presence of a pool without children, despite the fact that we were with a child, this is valuable when you can relax in silence and no child's crying bothers you

Everything was lovely, pool bar staff was very friendly and there are a few resident cats to pet that roam freely.

Rooms, food, staff and on site gym excellent. Nothing around the hotel apart from small pebble beach but difficult to get in and out of the sea due to slippery rock surface

The views were stunning, the sea was crystal clear, the food was lush and the staff were lovely. But I don't understand how this is listed as a 5-star hotel. It is a 3-star by the standard of the rooms

Unique and vastly expansive property. It was so large that there was a whole other pool and another beach we didn’t even discover until the night before our last day

The views from this hotel are mesmerizing, sunrise and sunsets are beautiful. The only minus for us was that if you want to go to the beach you need to pay for lounge chairs, it wasn’t very expensive

The beaches near the hotel are kinda rocky, if you want a nice sandy beach there is Agia Pelagia Beach, it’s 10 min drive. The housekeeping lady in our section was so friendly and helpful

A special thank you to Aman at the reception! :) Great cocktails and view at the lobby bar. We loved Tsimento beach (part of the property) and the other public beaches around the resort

There’s also a seaside village not far from the resort with amazing restaurants and shopping. We walked to it and took a taxi back. The taxi ride back was only 10 Euros

Rooms were comfortable and air conditioned. Get a room with a private pool in it. Those rooms are centrally located in the resort and well worth it

Was bought as present for our honeymoon and the room wasn’t the best so I emailed them explaining and next day we got the best upgrade with private pool only thing I’d say is the pool was ice cold, but free robes slippers a bath with an amazing view the food was lovely the staff was amazing the shows were good the bar staff was so lovely and chatty! I’d 100% recommend sad to leave but had the best...

Beautiful hotel and surroundings, the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, the food was superb and freshly made and refreshed in a timely manner, our entire family were extremely happy with the food choices each day and the all inclusive aspect meant we never missed out on any snacks or ice creams around the pools

The hotel is close to the little beach at the bottom of the hill and this is well worth a visit and we often enjoyed a few hours down there soaking up the sun or getting a different view over sunset

The views around the hotel are beautiful, and there’s a stunning beach nearby that made our days even more special

This is a lovely hotel but I wouldn't class it as a 4 star hotel. It is in a beautiful location, stunning views and a quaint little beach in a bay with lots of water activities

We had an amazing holiday in September at this hotel and would highly recommend it for families looking to relax and create unforgettable memories. The hotel itself is lovely and very clean

We had one of the nicer Hilltop places with it's own plunge pool and it was gorgeous with a fantastic seaview. Having said that, all the rooms looked nice. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful

It is relatively well located with a couple of beach areas within a 10/15 minute walk. The local main beach is very narrow and I think it's a charge of €10 per couple of sun beds

There were plenty of sun beds and seating options. The room service and poolside service is very reasonable and food and drinks were great. The pools are rather cold, but make for great breaks from the heat of the sun

The staff all seem happy and dedicated. A couple of minor issues were swiftly resolved. Children were using both pools which wasn't best when you want to relax, but they were respectful kids and didn't make lots of noise

But, it's a nice atmosphere, plenty of eateries and shops. The sea was clear and even in October fine for swimming and snorkeling. You can walk along the top of the rocks to a viewpoint at the end

The food was fresh and options ranged from continental to cooked. The breakfasting area has nice sea views and was a lovely start to the day

It creates such a friendly environment where it is easy to relax and connect with people. I travelled alone and felt completely safe throughout my stay

The rooms are what you would expect for the price and the cleaners do a fantastic job fresh towels and sheets every couple of days

I had a wonderful stay here and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a more authentic and relaxed holiday experience

The location is another big plus, with both the beach and the village only around a 10 minute walk away, so it is easy to enjoy the local area without needing to travel far

The room itself was a little dated, but it was clean, comfortable, and everything worked exactly as it should. With such lovely surroundings and beautiful views, it was never an issue for me

Excellent place to spend the best vacation in Greece. Perfect food, perfect place to relax, perfect everything. Also Foteini. What a person she is!!!!!!! See you next year guys!!!

If you aim for luxury you should look into hotels around the area. We chose this location and we are very satisfied with it because it had everything we needed

Very good location, close to both markets and beach, nice rooms (especially the back rooms towards the garden), and above all else is the host George, that helped us with many things, all the time ready to make our stay better

We spend half a day at the swimming pool and it was great as well. We had a very nice time staying here and we do recommend this place with all sincerity. 🤍 Take note that these are apartments and not a 5 star hotel

we holiday to the Greek islands quite a lot but have never experienced such a warm welcome. the apartment was great, and the pool and bar helped make it a perfect holiday. we are going back next year!!

And you can do everything on foot, beaches, shopping and restaurants (very good in the village)

Wonderful apartments with magnificent sea views and only a ten minute walk from the beach. Car hire is recommended if you want to travel anywhere, but the apartments are so comfortable, you might not want to leave.

The apartament is clean and really nice. Little bit far from sea but that is normally on that area. Everybody got rent a car and move from one beach to other so that was not a problem

It's magnificent. Views are fabulous. Beach is near and clean. Great place to stay to discover Crete. I wish I could stay longer.

Hotels in direct sight but still ok. Sometimes you can hear the music or when guests are being brought to the hotel bunker by bus or a quad tour is starting. Cleaning lady very nice, we didn't see anyone else

Room was spacious and spotless. Delicious breakfast served upstairs every morning with one of the best panoramic views of Agia Pelagia beach. Location was superb with multiple top rated restaurants near us

Great place - zero line, from the room directly to the beach! Hospitable host. A place to stay was chosen in advance and were not mistaken with the choice. Nearby are many shops and cafes. Heraklion is 30 minutes by car

Had an amazing 5-nights stay at Thania. Manolis is a very welcoming and friendly host, who took care of us from the beginning to the end of our trip

This spacious room is spotless and has a comfy bed and a large bathroom. The beach is just 20 meters away. Manolis and Maria are wonderful hosts who are always there for you but also respect your privacy.

Good location - 50m to the sea. There is a safe and a kettle, which is very convenient in the morning. There is practically no beach: a narrow shore and immediately the sea

with a cosy balcony / area where one can have a nice glass of wine outside. and once out of the rooms one just needs a 1 minute walk to arrive on the beach 😀 Definitely a place to come again for a nice relaxing holiday

Picturesque views of the bay and Agia Pelagia beach from the hotel. The rooms are extremely comfortable, and the service is professional and helpful. Several pools, a paddle tennis court, and an outdoor gym

Maria and man who looks like a Shwarzeneger who made the best drinks and made our evenings and whole team in the restaurant. The food delicious and barierka, a lot of vegetables and fruits

We have had a fabulous time at this hotel, staff very helpful upgraded our room to a sea view room which wasn’t available when we booked online (slight extra cost) Cleanliness is excellent as is the service from the staff, especially reception and Maria on the bar

Perfect location behind the beach with sea views. Be aware there is not a swimming pool but all rooms have plunge pools on the balcony. The hotel is spotlessly clean with professional and friendly staff

It seemed that most of the rooms don’t get any sun on that side of the building, that was the whole point of us choosing this hotel, so we could have our own privacy and pool in the sun, but unfortunately ended up having to go out onto the beach to be in the sun

We opted for a room with a plunge pool (most rooms seem to have this on offer). Despite the weather being on the cool side for the first few days we used it daily

Our was on 2nd floor and had lovely views of sea/mountains so got a good amount of sun and a large terrace which was not overlooked

Just returned home from a week on our honeymoon. We stayed in an Aqua marine suite with a sea view. Room was spotless, staff very friendly on arrival

Near the beach and a car rental and a supermarket just on the other side of the road. Just go in the lobby and take a drink or cola. I can strongly recommend this apartment hotel

The best apartments i have ever visited. Extremely good value for money! Freshly renovated. Excellent overall.

We stayed here with 4kids aged from 7 to 18. The apartments are ideally located -supermarket and car hire opposite, cocktail bar and cafe nearby and both main beaches 300m away

It takes about 5 minutes to walk down to the main beach and tavernas. The apartments are a generous size, fully equipped and comfortable-met our needs completely. Rooms were clean, towels and sheets changed often enough

The owner the family so helpful. The appointments are very very clean. Nothing is to much for them Location perfect. Pool clean Just book it you wont regret it I would have no problem going back here

We visit this hotel with my friend next week and we had a wonderful time. The service was perfect with friendly staff and rooms are very big with seaview. You can relax in the pool with a coctail in your free time

We spent the next few hours mopping her reception area and making sure cables/wires are dry. She was truly devastated, her pool and studios were ruined

the owner showed us a way to higher ground by first wading through water knee deep then climbing up the side of the building towards Sirena when the lady owner took us in. We had Wi-Fi and she supplied us with towels

My daughter and I got a taxi to Agia Pelagia yesterday morning, it was raining but when our hotel a couple miles away rang us a taxi they didn’t warn us of a possible storm

Really great stylish and modern apartments. Good price for first rate quality accommodation. There's no restaurant as such but a nice pool bar that serves breakfast and snacks which are available as room service

This is a perfect beach hotel apartment. The pool areas are very nice and quiet. The food service is excellent. The staff are extremely friendly. The hotel is conveniently located next to all the shops and restaurants

We enjoyed our stay at Seascape a lot. A very calm and relaxing atmosphere. The appartment had everything we needed. Beach and restaurants all within walking distance. Pool was great and the staff was very helpful

Quiet location plenty of sunbeds around the two tier pools. Pool side bar perfect for breakfast. Shops supermarket bars and restaurants all within 5 minute walk. Late minute check out thought too

We spent 8 nights here in a sea view apartment. Loved the accommodation, really well designed and very comfortable. Enjoyed sitting in the sunshine on the little balcony and chilling by the pool

We used the pool area a few times - rarely more than a handful of guests around the pool. Beach was busy but ok to get beds if you went before 10am. Friendly staff and everywhere was clean

We were only there for a few hours before we got a late flight back to the UK but everything was fine. Good size rooms and beds with a modern fit-out. The location is great too - very close to the beach!

As the hotel is called, it is exactly a super ''village''. A complex of rooms, gardens, space for a child to play and relax! A minute's walk from the beach and at the same time a quiet place to rest

If you want to spend some pleasant family time while meeting and learning about the local culture, come to the Belvedere. Top staff, small typical hotel, come and chat with the people, each more pleasant than the last

It was all easy going and happy and that made us have a lovely lovely holiday (parents to Sia who just turned 4!) thank you so much and we hope to come again!

And the food was excellent also , and you can choose what you will have for dinner for next evening. And breakfast - all you can eat for all tastes

Worth every Penny Amazing place. The staff were attentive. The restaurant food is unbelievable.

Fruit, yoghurts, pastries, breads, cereal, omelettes, fried eggs etc. we headed to the pool for our first day. Small but perfect for a quick dip, we practically had it to ourselves most days anyway

It’s 200 metres down to the beach which is smooth pebbles and the water was lovely. Nice stroll in the evenings to the main beach which was about 20 minutes to all the bars and restaurants

The views over the ocean were spectacular. The bar staff by the pool and all the staff were friendly and full of information should you need anything

It was a nice pleasant place to stay. The hotel has several buildings, and depends on the room you get, you may have a sea view, just like we did

Our apartment had 3 balconies, one of them was really big with two sunbeds. The apartment was only about 100 metres from the beach. Also the restaurants and shops are very close to it

It's not that big so you really have this cozy feeling during the day or evenings. There's plenty of room to chill at the pool or the restaurant. Shadow places available enough

I can't recommend Pennystella Apartments enough. Our stay there really was almost perfect. Wonderful owners and staff, great food, lovely pool and super apartments

Such a joy to wake up every morning with the view of Agia Pelagia bay, have a dip in the pool then either have a lazy day by the pool or head out to enjoy Crete

The room is spacious, very clean, large bed. A small kitchen with everything you need, air conditioning (free) - it just saved us from the terrible heat, a balcony overlooking the mountains and the sea

Big, clean and airy; comfortable bed, well equipped and nice bathroom. Easy walk to Agia Pelagia or Ligaria beaches

There’s also a very cute restaurant with an amazing view right next to the pool area. We didn’t try the food, but the drinks were very good
