Medusa Beach Resort & Suites in Naxos Chora

Amazing staff, thank you to Liana, Daniel and Anna. You made our vacation very special. This hotel is a bit off the path. You have to drive down a dirt road to actually get to the resort. It has an amazing beachfront with umbrellas and you always have a place to lay down and enjoy the beauty. Close to Chalki, Chora and other little towns. Our room was very small for the amount of suitcases we had, so make sure to pack very light, if you have two suitcases, this is not your place. The staff makes this place for sure, we had a great time with them!!

Travel: The hotel provided airport collection and ferry port drop off for us with multiple options at a competitive cost. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. Hotel room: The room was spotless, spacious, and tastefully decorated, with a hard but comfortable bed (mattress topper available on request) and all the amenities we could need including a kettle, tea, coffee, Wi-Fi complimentary bottled water and toiletries. Hotel surroundings: The hotel’s location was excellent, right next to the beach with its own private beach, loungers and beach towels at no extra cost, I would recommend a private beach sign as people external of the hotel often used the facilities. It is close to a range of restaurants within a 20minute walking distance up the beach and bus stop, the location is peaceful and quiet at night. The pool is small with plenty of sun loungers available. We also had the chance to enjoy the on-site restaurant, and the food was delicious with a great variety of options for both breakfast and dinner. All meals are cooked to order however I would suggest the menu is widened as you should not have to pay for scrambled egg when fried eggs are on the menu. Overall: You can see the hotel is going through a staged upgrade however we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We will return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

My wife and I spent two wonderful weeks at Medusa Beach Resort & Suites and we’re already looking forward to returning. Naxos is a true gem of the Cyclades, and Medusa is the perfect place to enjoy it — located right on stunning Plaka Beach, with its soft sand, turquoise water, and peaceful atmosphere. The palm garden between the hotel and the beach is beautiful and impeccably maintained, and the private beach area is a real plus. We loved the pool right by the sea, with a great bar, and the restaurant served fresh, tasty food with a small but well-chosen wine list. Above all, the staff was truly exceptional — from the manager to every single team member, everyone was warm, kind, and professional. A perfect stay.

Our second time to thoroughly enjoy Medusa Beach Resort & Suites. Staff throughout were, once more, lovely and made our four night stay enjoyable. As with our first visit, we chose the spacious Executive Suite which does involve internal stairs from the living to the bed and bath rooms as well as to the second story hot tub. The Executive Suite also involves walking a short distance to dining, the pool, tiki bar and beach. NBD as we enjoyed the privacy and solitude. Ground transport re air and water ports was arranged through Medusa as we chose to relax and renew without the need to leave the property. We look forward to our third time at Medusa Beach Resort & Suites.

The resort is charming and the rooms were comfortable and vary in size and views. We had room 305 with ocean and island views. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service was terrific. The beach is quiet and somewhat private. There is a horse stable close by for those that like to horseback ride and the local bus stop wasn't too far away.

We loved this resort! The room was updated and clean, food was very good, the beach was fantastic, and the staff was nothing short of amazing. Kiki made some of the best freddo espresso we had on Naxos. Elli and Daniel at the front desk were extremely prompt and helpful. The entire staff was awesome. The beach has a great sunset over Paros. The resort is about 20 minutes from town but it is very nice and quiet. If we make it back to Naxos we will 100% stay here again.

Excellent, clean and cool rooms. Fantastic staff, who were very attentive to our needs. Swift and prompt service for both breakfast and dinner. Great pool and beach side bar, the smoothies are to die for, as is the club sandwich… we stayed 4 nights. The only slight issue is the distance to Naxos town and the cost of the taxis which is 45 euros, which makes eating out expensive. But this is part of the pleasure, as the resort is quiet, calm and relaxing. Also, the food at Medusa Beach Resort is delicious, but the menus do not change, but it is a varied menu, with fish, meats and salads, and the panacotta pudding was heavenly. Highly, highly recommend, we had a wonderfully relaxing and restorative stay. It’s a place we would return to again!..

This hotel, a little off the beaten path on a quieter stretch of beach, was perfect for our family. The pool and bar, the beach, the breakfast, the cats—we loved all of it. The staff was wonderful, so kind and accommodating. We needed adjoining rooms for our family of 5 (three kids) and were able to do so in two seaview double rooms (with an added cot) near the back of the property. The rooms didn’t connect but the doors were right next to one another and ours (401 and 402) were the only rooms on that level. The patios were spacious and comfortable with beautiful views of the sea through the trees. The only negative for me was that the mattresses were hard, but others did not complain. You definitely want a car if you stay here, not only to visit different restaurants but also to explore the island as there is so much to see and do. Highly recommend the nearby kite surfing beach, Mikri Vigla, Alyko beach and the abandoned hotel ruins that are covered in the most amazing murals and graffiti, and driving into the mountains and stopping in one of the villages. We also hiked part way up Mt.Zas to see Zeus’s childhood cave. None of these destinations took us more than 30 minutes from Medusa. There were many laid back restaurants just a 5-10 minute drive away (or you could walk up the beach ~20 min), so you didn’t need to go into Chora unless you wanted more action. We absolutely loved our stay, just wish it could have been longer!

Relaxation and clarification of thought if one is not bothered by tiny potato flies, mozzies, Meltemi wind or a lack of staff. Hidden because it is at the far end of Plaka beach and approached via a dirt track in the forest, Be careful because a taxi ride back to Chora is 35 euros one way. Delightful, well appointed buildings. Expertly run by Eli ( manager) and Moses ( waiter ) but both deservedly needing back up assistance. The chef is top notch with faultless cuisine. Breakfast was good but needed an island unit because to serve from the kitchen snd then expect 2 waiters to go backwards and forwards 50 ms each time with your order was stretching ones patience. Exceptional tropical gardens that go straight down to the sea, bar and pool. The pool is sea water, cleaned daily. So, despite all the little things, we really relaxed and chilled for 10 days.
