This is a simple but friendly hotel with rooms clustered around a compact swimming pool. We were there for one night and had a buffet dinner and breakfast. The rooms were spacious and clean and you may even get a balcony. Fine for a night or two.

The rooms are basic but are cleaned every day and towels replaced which is ideal. If you are thinking about booking a boat trip etc then do it via the hotel as its the same trip but much much cheaper than you will get via a website. The owner Penny is a duracell bunny always available to help you out with anything. We ate there every night as for 15 euros they do a fantastic buffet meat pasta veg etc etc something for everyone a bargain and tasty too. Cannot fault all the staff as they are excellent. Has two pools a small games room pool table tennis and its own small beach etc. Very relaxed atmosphere perfect hotel for a decent budget and for those not wanting to be in the heart of party town kavos it's just a 15 minute walk away but hotel is far enough away for peace and quiet also. They do various themed things at nights and the greek night is a must do. Corfu town is 90 mins away and bus service is limited at times so check it out 1st but all in all it's a great place to stay.

We stayed here for 10 nights. On arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our room. We were also helped to sort out the safe and sort out excursions. Sadly, it went downhill from here. On the first night there was a wedding, which was blaring loud music and karaoke until gone midnight, which kept us up after travelling half a day and being up since 2am. The speakers were right by the room and whacked up loud, which we felt was very inconsiderate to other guests. Breakfast was okay. Same food every morning, swarmed with wasps (and other guests - fair enough not the hotels fault). Standard stuff. Croissants and cakes were very dry. The man replenishing the food kindly offered my partner the last stale rock hard croissant before putting fresh ones out. We initially thought he was being nice. Some other reviews comment on the smell and hygiene of said man. While “friendly”, he did look rather unkempt and every time he came out of the kitchen his face was full of food - presumably the food meant for the guests. Not a good look stuffing your face while putting it out. Additionally, whilst it was nice to see the management feeding staff, I did not appreciate the staff helping themselves at the same time as the guests, especially when most of the good stuff was almost gone. It would’ve been more professional for them to allow the staff to help themselves after breakfast had closed and when the area was shut off from the public. There were 2 pool areas. The one by the reception was better looked after but only had a handful of beds and wasn’t very relaxing. The music was loud and it catered for the guests more chummy to the staff; I assume those who leave 5 star reviews and return every year? The quieter pool area used to be part of another hotel, after some research. The area was poorly looked after and maintained. Most of the tables and umbrellas were broken. The stairs to get into the pool were so sharp you had to plan a route along the steps to safely get in and out, or risk cutting your feet. The music was sporadic. Celine Dion remixes on repeat or plain silence? €3,50 for a can of Coke Zero or nearly €10 for 2 ice creams (none of it priced by the way, we had to ask the lady the price as she just wanted us to tap our cards and be gone). In the end, we were so disappointed with the pool area we went to the neighbouring Erofili hotel. We missed a trick as half of the Mediterranean Blue guests were already using their pool and pool bar area. Day by day, we saw more and more of the Med Blue guests there and even spoke to them about their similar experiences. Couldn’t recommend Erofili enough by the way: spotless, friendly and reasonably priced. The “private beach” is not attached to the hotel at all. You have to walk down a derelict road past a derelict hotel to access it. A bit misleading as we believed the hotel was on the beach and attached to the “private beach”. Maybe an oversight on our part. The beach itself is poorly kept, very tired an

This hotel is a little gem , ok it’s not the most luxurious hotel, but that is made up for by the service, the food and the location , the rooms are comfortable, clean ,air conditioned, and do the job to sleep and do ablutions etc. It’s a nice little complex with a couple of pools and a toddler pool , gym and games room . It’s reasonably priced and compares well with the restaurants and bars in the village, but what makes this place,is the staff Penny and her team are very helpful, friendly and nothing is too much for them, in fact talking to the other guests, many of them have been there several times previously, and I would certainly stay there again,

Review of Mediterranean Blue Hotel This was, without doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. From poor cleanliness and unprofessional service to terrible food and even stolen belongings, I would strongly advise against staying here. Accessibility & Room Allocation We had requested a ground-floor room a month before our stay, as my father has Parkinson’s and struggles with stairs. The owner, Penny, confirmed this would not be an issue. However, on arrival, no such room was provided. Instead, my parents were placed in a room that required climbing 19 steep steps. After several days of complaints — and only after my father suffered a bad fall, injuring both himself and my mother — were they finally moved to the annex, which was much more suitable. Cleanliness & Maintenance The rooms were filthy on arrival and clearly had not been swept or mopped. Dust was thick under the beds and on surfaces, and ants crawled across the beds. Towels and toilet rolls were not replenished; we had to ask at reception daily. Toilets were rarely cleaned, and one morning, the bathroom taps produced no water for over an hour. Overall, the maintenance was unacceptable. Food & Dining Experience The half-board meals (breakfast and dinner) were consistently poor. The only edible food was from the à la carte lunch menu, which had to be paid for separately. Breakfasts were especially unpleasant due to swarms of wasps, which incense sticks did little to deter. To make matters worse, dirty plates were stacked near the dining area, adding to the unhygienic feel. We ended up eating most meals at the nearby Erofili, which was excellent in every respect. Service & Staff Staff were unprofessional and often absent. Penny herself admitted she had “given up” trying to control them. Requests for basics such as drinks were met with long waits — on one occasion, over 30 minutes for a simple milkshake, which only Penny was apparently allowed to prepare. One staff member was unhygienic and wore visibly dirty clothes, which was very off-putting. Security & Missing Items Most shockingly, several of my daughters’ belongings went missing during our stay, including three pairs of earrings, a makeup palette, and items of clothing. These were not items we expected to lock away in a safe, and the only conclusion we can draw is that they were taken by cleaning staff. Overall I have stayed at many family-run three-star hotels and usually had wonderful experiences. Unfortunately, Mediterranean Blue was the complete opposite: unsafe, unhygienic, and poorly run. Between the health risks, lack of basic cleanliness, unprofessional service, and suspected theft, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Me and my boyfriend (in our 20’s) had a lovely time here at Mediterranean blue. The location was great with the beach being about 500m away from our room. Very good check in being greeted by penny who showed us to our room. She was very kind, friendly and we often had a lovely chat with her at the bar, she’s a brilliant host. We stayed in the ‘beach house’ and it seemed very private and quiet. The room was spacious and clean but the bed was a little uncomfortable for me, very firm but some prefer that so probably just me being picky. The food at the hotel was lovely we did 3 nights buffet and 2 nights ordered but the portions were big very good value for money. Greek night was brilliant they like to get you involved, brilliant atmosphere. Kavos town is about a 10 minute walk which there’s loads of shops, bars and restaurants, we ended up walking back on the beach most times it was lovely. Unfortunately kavos has got a lot of buildings abandoned and deserted with a lot of potential but as a visitor it is a bit depressing when walking past them all. We went on a boat trip to paxos and antipaxos which was brilliant would definitely recommend and a bus trip to Corfu town which was great too! Overall had a lovely holiday here, would definitely come back but we want to explore more of the island ☺️

This is by far the best holiday experience we have ever had without exception. Very clean and tidy room, two pools to choose from as well as a private beach. Penny is the best host anyone could wish for, always there to help and advise to make the experience so easy and relaxed. If you want to have a relaxed and enjoyable holiday then this is for you!

we have just returned from a weeks stay here and we really enjoyed it, we struggled to find fault, our bathroom was on the small side and we did not have a kitchen sink but apart from that room itself was near perfect, ac and a safe inclusive, Wi-Fi drops a little but again small problems, Penny is a wonderful host and nothing was ever too much trouble. Greek night here is a must, Breakfast and all food was plentiful and tasty, An invasion of wasps was a bit annoying but found this all over island to be fair, Drinks prices were similar to uk, Rose tree around the corner was a lovely taverna, also Tex mex in town was a very nice night out with free shuttle service provided! overall med blue is imo a fantastic place and would recommend to all, Many thanks to all working there that helped us enjoy our stay

Had such a good time here at this hotel. I came in from the hospital with my partner and penny the manager spoke to us with complete empathy given us a lovely room because it was more accessible for my partner to get into. The staff too was so lovely and had a good time speaking with them as well as penny. The hotel is beautiful with cute cats too. The milkshakes and pasta was amazing and the service was lovely. There were busy times but it wasn’t a long wait until you could get your order or to speak to someone which was really good. This was my first holiday without parents and penny made me and my partner feel like she was our mum. We had to quickly go when we left our hotel so we couldn’t say goodbye properly but would like to say thank you so much for the stay it was amazing :).

Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome from Penny and her team and the service was very good throughout our stay. The room was very spacious and clean with a nice outdoor terrace area. The hotel had their very own private beach with sun loungers and umbrellas within 5 minutes walk. Food was exceptional. Our stay was half-board and the evening meal included a salad, appetiser, main and dessert. Portions were very generous. Breakfast was a buffet with so much to choose from. All was delicious! As we were walking the Corfu Trail we only got to stay one night, but would definitely stay there again.
