Oula Maisonettes Suites in Kavos

Ok here’s my honest review let’s start with the good bits pool was amazing lots of comfy plush sun loungers good selection of food and drink not cheap but around average price beautiful gardens kept clean and well maintained. Staff were amazing shout out to George who made amazing cocktails they all make you feel very welcome and I can’t forget the cute amazing cats I fell in love with a ginger and white boy cat that I actually called gorgeous George my little man who would come running for a big fuss whenever he saw me he stayed by our apartment 508 I was heartbroken that I had to leave him . Ok now on to the not so good the apartments are in desperate need of renovation as a construction worker I was shocked let’s start with the wardrobe Handels coming off so had to fix’s to open the wardrobe not a great start we had a couple of tiles fall of the wall fridge door was battered and rusty we had a very strong smell of sewage coming from the bathroom and we’re ambushed by an army of ants . Beds were like slabs pillows were as flat as a pair of socks and my friends bed if we can call it that (sofa) stunck of pee we were waking up covered in bits everyday not sure if it was bed bugs or mosquitoes got to be honest was too scared to pull back sheet and look at the mattresses 🙀 got about 10 minutes of hot water per day so we had mainly cold showers cleaning off apartments was not the best not the best shame really as the apartments really let down the rest of the place gonna be honest I would not go back or recommend shame really as staff were amazing but it’s definitely not a 3 star complex’s more like a 2 each to their own I suppose but not for me or my friends

At best this is a 2* hotel. Very outdated. Beds awful, shower only works intermittently & barely cleaned. For self catering hardly any cooking utensils. Also as self catering you expect you can make food & take it to pool area. However only allowed food & drink from their bar/kitchen. Advised on arrival air con would be 10 euros a night but this depends on which staff member you book with. We ended up paying 12 per day yet other people confirmed they paid less/more. The staff clearly had favourites. Some staff were very nice & helpful but some behaved like predators with the young girls. Definitely far from professional & I would advise parents of teenage girls to be vigilant. On a positive note, pool area is good with plenty of sunbeds. Food & drink is reasonably priced. The food from the kitchen was good.

Although availability of sunbeds and pool area where good, Apartment very outdated, shower luke warm at best with fluctuating pressure issues Beds terrible if you have any back issues my advise is to avoid. Towels 1 per person only changed once during a week's stay. Bedding again only changed once during a week's stay. Air con is extra at 12 euro per day. Younger male bar staff inappropriately overly friendly with young girls staying there. Onsite ATM withdrawal rate 3 times that of the ATMs on the strip. On the plus side we met some amazing guests. I personally wouldn't recommend it but as always it depends on what you are looking for.
