Hotel Kosta Famissi is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Meteora. The location is perfect—close to everything and ideal for exploring the area. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help and make your stay comfortable. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, offering a relaxing environment after a long day of sightseeing.

Overall, a great stay. Highly recommended!

I didn’t stay here but I paid 15€ to use their pool and had a fabulous time. The pool is well maintained and equipped with not only lounging chairs and bean bag chairs and umbrellas, but also two pavilions each with a dining table and chairs, as well as a small church—yes, a church! Incredible views of the rock formations in one direction and mountains in the other, among palms and other petty landscaping. I realized to the soothing sound of running water (it’s basically an infinity pool), and barely anyone was there. The sparrows liked to come and dip into the water. It was idyllic. I had to pay in cash, and I was given two very nice plush grey towels. I highly recommend this as a getaway if you are overheated and staying elsewhere in town. Sorry, I can’t speak to the actual accommodations—just the pool! Oh, and there are outdoor men’s and women’s bathroom with showers to change, shower, use the toilet. No need to leave or enter a different area of the hotel property.

Overall the hotel is fine. The rooms are slightly outdated but comfortable. The decorations at the entrance and in the restaurant can be considered kitch, but is a matter of taste. The location is great, especially if you have a view over the Meteora. Biggest downside is that it is extremely noisy with groups leaving for tours at 06:00. Shouting in the hallway slamming doors. Some people really lack any decency.

We stayed in a very clean room with a full view of the Meteora! The airconditioner worked perfectly and the mattress and pillows were most comfortable. It was a pleasant surprise to find an iron in the cupboard which was very convenient . Breakfast was great and dinner was even better with a variety of greek traditional dishes. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable .

The property is in a very good location. The views are beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants and town centre minutes away.

The room we stayed in was on level 4. The view was directly at Meteora. The room was very clean, with spacious bathroom and shower. The AC is working perfectly. The beds are clean and very comfortable to sleep on.

Staff at the front desk, both day and night shift, are amazing. We were there on tour and asked for a late check out, which was given to us.

Perfect stay. Very happy!

The hotel has a great view, but the facilities are very old. The check-in counter staff even yawned carelessly, which was very unpleasant.

At our round trip we did look forward to this location in Kalambaka. The surroundings are breath taking. The location of the hotel is good right at the entrance of Kalambaka, but to be honest, the hotel itself was disappointing. At our arrival at the end of the afternoon we were welcomed by a female receptionist with the name Antigoni. She was very helpful and very service minded. A big compliment to her. Her attitude towards guest was far better than we experienced in the days after our arrival from other hotel personnel at the front desk. Even the hotel manager didn't look like to be much interested in us as guests. She was only looking at her computer screen and pointed to others to do this or that in a way that did feel us very uncomfortable. After having a diner outside we did come back at the hotel and asked for having a coffee/tea since we did have a celebration that day. We did buy a cake for that occasion too. They didn't have coffee/tea available for us (unbelievable for a hotel, don't you think), but anyway Antigoni, took charge and did call a kind of Uber service to bring us take-away coffee. The female manager of the hotel wasn't very pleased by this action from her employee. Can you believe that? Anyway, we got our coffee and we enjoyed it in the lobby of the hotel although we were the only people at the lobby at that time. The breakfast in the morning was also low quality compared to other hotels we have stayed during our trip. We stayed here 2 nights and honestly we will for sure choose another hotel if we would visit Kalambaka again in the future.

Although this hotel was arranged for us by a tour agency as a 4-star accommodation, the experience was very positive. The staff were exceptionally kind to me and my daughter, graciously honoring our only request for a better view of the fascinating Meteora landscape — and they delivered a wonderful view. The room was clean, though a bit small, but the bedding and towels were soft and high-quality, which we appreciated. Breakfast could have been better, but the server kindly cut fresh cucumbers for us when we asked for more vegetables and even allowed us to pack some food to go, as my daughter was slow to wake up for the morning tour. Very kind and accommodating people overall. I also enjoyed the hotel’s thoughtful collection of sculptures and paintings, which added character to the space. It’s super close to the Natural History and Mushroom Museum — one of the best we’ve visited, with extremely thoughtful illustrations and designs geared toward kids. The audio tour was excellent and made for a wonderful, memorable ending to our two-day Meteora visit.
