Antoniadis in Kalambaka

The room was clean but the A/c did not work. Opened windows instead and got a nice air flow but the road noise was terrible. Wore earplugs. The bed was extremely hard. I would have been better off sleeping with a blanket underneath me on the concrete floor. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Great location to see the sights and great location to the town.

It was an amazing experience
When we arrived we realized how much they cared in that they wanted us to use our own towels since they knew hotel towels a rougher. I had forgotten mine so they were so nice to bring me one anyway when I kindly asked them for one.

Th A/C almost worked after 3 attempts to fix it but the final solution was of course to use the beautiful natural ventilation system instead.

To give us a great feel for nature the toilet provided a constant stream of water to remind us of the beautiful nature just besides. But since it was a waste of water we mentioned it and then they of course made sure that it could not flush at all since that would save the water we were so concerned about.

Speaking of water, the shower floor was only half there so we could feel useful in helping the cleaning later by already wetting the floor with water. It is always nice feeling that you are contributing.

However, this room was so nice that we would love others to experience it so we went to the reception and told them how unworthy we were of such a great room and they graciously gave us another. Luckily that had such a small shower that we could still help with the cleaning of the bathroom which seemed to be needed.

The breakfast was amazing. I love water and that is just what their orange juice was. The bread was so hard that it could dent the table, so I took a piece with me because I do not like to be unarmed.

This hotel might once have been a 4 star hotel but in my heart it will always be a 5 star hotel. One for each star shining through the curtain since we only had one of two blackening curtains in the room

The staff are friendly and accommodating, but the age, disrepair, and lack of proper maintenance of this hotel shows.

Our first room was missing a shower door, and had a non-functioning AC and toilet. We had to request towels as the room wasn’t completely made. Eventually after they couldn’t fix the AC, they suggested leaving the balcony door open.

After requesting a room change, the second room was missing a curtain, and the toilet was not clean. The shower curtains were hung on a pvc pipe held by a zip tie, and were short, such that water inevitably ends up all over the floor. The staff were kind enough to provide additional floor towels for this, however.

Meals were ok, but one could tell corners are cut nearly everywhere, making this no more than a 1 star experience by common standards. 30–50 years ago, this would have been a great place to stay, but age, disrepair, and management choices have no doubt caught up.

Beds uncomfortable Very run down hotel. Bathroom was a poor standard, the toilet didn't flush properly. Definitely not 4 star.
