Iridanos in Kalambaka

Guesthouse Iridanos, how fortunate we were. We used private tour company and their 4 star option was full. I was worried about a 3 star option but it was the quaintest, cleanest most authentic feeling hotel we stayed at on our month long trip. It is owner operated and you can tell. I am sure it is only rated 3 star because the included breakfast was more basic than most but it had enough to satisfy our needs. Thank you so much for this stop PGT if you are going to Meteora this place was awesome.

Great location with a view of the Meteora Monasteries. Peacefully situated just outside the town center, about 15-minute walk. Parking in front of the guesthouse. Spacious room, very clean dns welcoming!

We stayed here as part of a two-day tour to Delphi and Meteora. Nice room, wonderful owner, peaceful location, and a fresh, delicious breakfast. Highly recommend!

We stayed here overnight during our visit to Meteora (which by the way means suspended in the air or lofty in Greek). In any case, this is a lovely, charming hotel. Our room was well decorated and spotless. The beds were comfortable, the shower nice and the WiFi very fast. The morning breakfast was very good. The owner, a Dutch lady married to a local, was very friendly and spoke perfect English. We had a great stay and strongly recommend this property.

Luxurious atmosphere

We spent our first night in Greece here and we all had a good sleep. The room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Everything was nice and clean. The heater worked well and kept us all warm and cozy. Note that there are no elevators in this guesthouse. You'll need to carry the luggages up the stairs (from outside of the guesthouse going in and another flight of stairs if room is located on the upper floor). We arrived in the evening and there was a helpful and friendly staff at the reception who welcomed us and brought us to our rooms. There is a smart TV in the room with Netflix!! Breakfast spread was good with boiled eggs, various bread, fruits, cereals, sausages and bacon. I think we were the only group staying in the guesthouse plus one other couple. There is a restaurant next door but apart from that, it is quite a walk to Kalambaka town (not really advisable in the cold). We had our meal outside just before arriving at the hotel. I'm glad we managed to book this guesthouse with Nikos' (Private Greece Tour) help. Otherwise I don't think we would have had the opportunity as the guesthouse was not available for online booking during the Christmas week. This is a warm and cozy guesthouse and we would come back here again. Note that toilet papers are disposed in the bins provided and must not be flushed down the toilet (and this applies to any toilets you visit in Greece).

So clean, so unique!
Great spot. Beautiful building with unique finishes, immaculately kept. Great coffee. Nice speead of items for breakfast. Host was incredibly kind and helpful. If we ever get out to Meteora again, we would definilty stay.

Wonderful property. Room was large and very comfortable - best sleep I had in Greece. The owner was extraordinary- so kind and friendly. You can walk to the Main Street, restaurants etc. in about 10-15 min. I highly recommend Iridanos!!

Excellent room with good shower and large bed. Very nice designs inside. Fortunate to have Pasos introduce me to location and familiarise.

Breakfast is tasty.
