Newly renovated hotel, the room was fully equipped and adequate for a family of four. Large and clean bathroom. The breakfast was comprehensive. It's about a 10-minute walk to Thissio station. Close to restaurants and cafes. The staff were very polite and helpful. I would definitely choose this hotel again!

Everything was perfect. The breakfast, especially compared to European countries, was very diverse and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. The location is also very close to the center, and you can explore everywhere on foot.

We had the Grand Suite booked for a family of 3 with a teenager. The room was spacious enough for a several day stay. There is a little entrance room that has a pull out bed or can be used to store the suitcases. Then there is another pull out couch in the main room. The room is on the top floor and you can oversee the city, but need to step out on the balcony to have a view of the acropolis. Everything is in close walking distance, the closest metro stop is about 5 min away, Monastiraki about 10min walking.
The room was very quiet and the beds comfortable.
Everyone at the front desk was super nice and helpful. We had breakfast two mornings, it's pretty basic but the price is alright for what you are getting. There is no bar or restaurant in the hotel, you need to walk across the street to another hotel if needed.
I would definitely stay here again when we come back.

I spent a lot of time researching where to stay in Athens and I’m glad I chose NLH. I had read comments about the abandoned buildings nearby, but it did not impact how I felt once I arrived. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and I felt very safe there. The location is also excellent, with plenty of restaurants nearby and an easy walk to the Acropolis.

Check-in was smooth, and since I was traveling in the off-season they upgraded my room, which I really appreciated. The room was spacious and very clean. The building feels solid and the windows do a good job blocking sound, though depending on your room you may hear some noise from people outside nearby bars and restaurants.

A few small downsides: you get two complimentary bottles of water, but after that you’re relying on the vending machines or buying water nearby. I wish the vending machines accepted credit cards because I rarely had coins and sometimes had to leave just to buy water. Like many European hotels, you also have to insert your room key into a wall switch for the electricity, which means you cannot charge devices or control the climate unless you are physically in the room. Even in December my room could get warm, and the AC was slow. The wall unit also would not let me switch it fully to cooling, so it took a long time to cool the room down. The Wi-Fi worked, but it was not very strong or consistent for heavier use.

Breakfast was the biggest drawback for me as a vegan. Options were very limited and most mornings I only had peanut butter on toast, so even though breakfast was included in my prepaid booking, it did not feel like a good value. There was also one awkward moment on my fifth morning when a staff member asked for my room number for the first time and said he was making sure I paid for breakfast, even though it was already included in my reservation. I understand hotels need a system, but the inconsistency and tone made it uncomfortable. That said, the female breakfast staff were wonderful, and the gentleman working evenings was excellent.

One small suggestion: it would help if the hotel stocked plastic utensil sets at the front desk or in the breakfast area. I had takeout a couple of nights and needed utensils.

Overall, this was a really enjoyable stay and a great value for the price. I would stay here again if I return.

Modern and clean. Our room was tight, but I think there are bigger rooms. Service was great. Breakfast had a lot of variety but we didn't enjoy it. Parking is street parking. Area does not look great, but we felt safe. Walked to archeological museum and the Acropolis. They gave us some great restaurant recommendations nearby with Acropolis views and a bank ATM.

OMG the bed! Honestly just brilliant, memory foam that feels it was bought yesterday!
The bathroom is tiny, just a loo and shower but okay, the sink is in the bedroom. Tea/coffee/water in the room which is great. Safe, body cream, soap, hangers, big TV, Wi-Fi, as far as I'm concerned everything I need. Even a little balcony! Not had the free breakfast yet but I have high hopes! Update in the morning.

Excellent stay for few days! A cozy, modern, silent, small room with everything you may need for a short stay. Few minutes walking distance from the centre, with lovely cafés and restaurants around. A shot-out to the cleaning service, the room and the hotel were excellently cleaned!

Located quite near the main attraction of Athens, however slightly dark in the night.

Generally quiet area, convenient for the metro and restaurants. However area did look run down. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was rather chaotic. Warning to anyone though...the lifts are tiny. We are both slightly above average 50s and with both of us in, it was uncomfortable. With our cabin bags we had to use a lift each. Anyone with large cases or that is bigger in size would struggle
