I called on the phone and sent a follow-up email in order to reserve a room with a balcony.

I was promised that a room is reserved for me, but later on they claimed that the room does not have a balcony, and implicitly it means that my reservation is canceled.

While I don't have an opinion on the hotel itself, I find the reservation process and the service I got below average, hence the review.

Rooms & bathrooms are spacious with a high ceiling & artfully decorated, while staff are kind and always ready to provide assistance. Overall the hotel is a real gem if you are agreeable to a ten-minutes-plus walk from the nearest metro stop.

Hotel staff were great and very helpful, supportive and friendly.
However the locality of the hotel in the suberbs of Athens didn't feel very safe.
It was noisy in the evenings, but in the daytime anywhere in Athens was walkable.
Overall, you can't expexct more for the price....

If the hotel could be transported to another neighborhood, I'd offer a higher star rating. There was so much yelling outside most of both nights I stayed - by a few young men - I didn’t sleep much. The red and white fabric rose petals strewn all over the room and bathroom were confusing. Maybe I had the honeymoon suite.

While the hotel was pleasant, the nearest subway station can be tricky — I suggest getting off one stop earlier for a smoother walk

The money I paid for this room in this hotel so far from the center and far from public transportation was too much. There was not even a kettle to make a drink that should have been there and a basic breakfast and not to be charged an additional 6€. The price of this room was excessive. The only thing that was worth it in the room was the bathroom.

I was able to use the luggage storage service, which allowed me to sightsee without having to carry a lot of luggage.
The staff were all kind and friendly.
The room was very clean, and the towels and other items seemed to be clean.
There was also a balcony.
It was also easily accessible, so I recommend it.
