Frida Village in Hersonissos

We booked a package deal with Easyjet Holidays and got an absolute bargain so thought why not give it a go. The apartment is only a short drive from the airport but I highly recommend booking a private taxi as we didn't and it took about 90 minutes which was crazy but thankfully a lot quicker on the return. Apartments: We were a family of four and just booked the standard room, when we arrived our room was lovely it had a bed for us and two beds in the living room area with a small kitchen and table and chairs. We were amazed to have two balconies and our bedroom window over looked the pool and sea. The kitchen is basic but we don't go in holiday to cook. One day we had an issue with the toilet flooding the bathroom and as it was late at night we out a bucket under it and spoke to reception the next morning and ot was dealt with straight away and very apologetic but these things happen. Pool: it was a perfect size for the apartments and never felt crowded, I was always up early as like to make the most of my day but could arrive later if your not bothered about certain beds which we weren't. There was a smaller pool by reception which was never busy and had a lovely seating area to it. Bar: There was a bar serving some food and drinks, not overly expensive. We had breakfast a few times and some lunchtime snacks and all was lovely and maybe a beer or two. Location: This is in a great location, five minutes walk to shops, bars and restaurants. We had lots of amazing food you could be here for a month and not eat in the same place. All the staff are lovely here and I can see why people come back year after year. I would happily return here and know we would have a great time.

Perfect for all from families, singles and couples who want to relax and enjoy all there is in the beautiful Crete.
Owners were very friendly and helpful with everyone and kept the hotel and rooms spotless.
Superb holiday, hotel and people, would highly recommend.

Another lovely stay at Freda village appartments. This was my 3rd visit, and I have already booked for next year. Clean, comfortable, friendly and easy access to restaurants etc. The team are fantastic, nothing is to much trouble. See you next year 🙂

I stayed solo at Frida and had a great time with the friendly guests and the the crew Orla, Pauleen and Manos. My studio, 117, was cleaned regularly and the towels replaced every other day. The sheets were also replaced regularly. Frida is like a small village with the main pool and bar at its centre serving a great variety of drinks and good draft lager as well as a large range of snacks and meals. Studio 117, with its brilliant sea view and nice balcony was a good size with everything required to make light meals. Supplies for which can be bought from the well stocked supermarket just outside the Frida back gate. Piskopanio is a short walk up the fairly steep hill past a taverna and cafe type bar, at the back of Frida. This comes out at Socrates Kebab shop. It's about quarter of an hours walk down the hill, at the front of Freda, down to Hersonissos. I would definitely stay at Frida again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Frida Village. We had a studio with a pool and sea view which looked like it had recently been decorated. It was really spacious. The pool area is well maintained and there were always lots of sunbeds. The pool bar and restaurant were really reasonably priced 5 Euro for a large beer. It's in a fantastic location easy walking distance to Piskopiano Village, Chersonissos and Koutouloufari, where there are lots of lovely tavernas. It was great for me as a runner too as a short run down hill you get to Hersonissos where you can run along with waterfront (I never did make it running back up the hill though!). We would definitely return to this lovely chilled out place.

Lovely apartments with fabulous hosts who want you to have the best holiday. Had what we needed for a self catering apartment. Towels changed every other day, bedding every few days. Bathroom small but functional, had an issue with a leak from some of the pipe work but they worked to resolve this as soon as possible. Pool area nice and well kept, pool bar had a good selection of drinks and ice creams. Food served until 4pm, ideal if you just want something whilst at the pool. Pool table great for families to use, €1 a game. Well stocked supermarket just across the road, bottled water very cheap and everything else reasonably priced. Short walk up a steep hill to Piskapiano Village, a little bit further on is koutalafari with more shops/bars/testaurants. The most lovely restaurant only a minutes walk from the apartment, not even half way up the first hill. It’s a must go to when staying at frida. Down the hill to hersonissos beach - about a 20/25 minute walk, very steep to come back but a taxi only costs €10 to get back. Went spent 2 days at star beach, lovely beach and water areas for children. Water sports available too. No charge to get in just for your sunbeds and parasol (€19 for 3 beds and a parasol). The taxi ride cost us €20 each way - that was for a large people carrier as there were 7 of us. We would return to frida but we like to try different places.

We’ve just returned from 10 days at the Frida village apartments (3 ladies of a certain age) and we loved it so much we have already booked to return next year .the apartments are basic but lovely and clean and cosy equipped with a fridge , hot plate , kettle and toaster . Our apartment 308 had 2 balconies one with a pool and sea view and one of the bedroom with a fabulous Mountain View it was up a couple of flights of stairs so not suitable if you have mobility issues The apartments are a family run affair and Orla and Manos work so hard and are so friendly and helpful Then there’s Pauline undeniably the best frappe maker in Crete The whole vibe is relaxed and welcoming Just 5 minutes up the hill you have an amazing choice of gorgeous restaurants and Greek tavernas Old hersonisos is 5 minutes in a taxi it is so pretty and traditional and you will get the best Greek food you’ve ever had there Also a day at Stalis beach is a must 5/10 minutes in a taxi to a lovely beach with waiter service to your sunbed All in all if you’re thinking of booking this holiday. Do it! It’s perfect and if you do please say kalimera to the lovely lady sat in the shade by the bar with the beautiful smile x

Best place to stay. This was our second trip here this year. Always great 👍 kids love it here because it's so friendly and relaxing. Orla, Manos, and all the team do a great job from making cocktails, cooking breakfast to cleaning the rooms, and everything is fantastic. The little shop across the road is great they sell everything and are not expensive at all and stay open till around midnight again, a lovely family that run it. Down the hill and on the left is a lovely restaurant, Ariston, small play area and very cheap and tasty. At the front of the apartment is Aegean Massage Hersonissos. and it's fantastic myself and husband had a couples massage and it's was amazing and very reasonably priced my daughter 8 years old also had a massage and loved it (she had one here last year as well ) and fell asleep 😴 . Love it here so much. I have already booked in for next July 🙌 . Thank you all for another great holiday 🙏

My wife and I had a lovely relaxing week here. We had the chance to upgrade our studio apartment to a one bed, but glad we didn’t as studio was fine for us. The complex is situated on a fairly steep hill, but it’s only a short walk up into the village where there’s plenty of bars and restaurants. We will definitely return.

Arrived here 2.45 am with great check in instructions from Manos. Room very clean and comfy beds and pillows. We opted for an upgrade to a sea view apartment which was on the 3rd floor. Pool area nice with plenty of sun beds and no sun bed wars which was great. Small pool at front of hotel sometimes we had to ourselves. Pool bar ran by Orla for snacks and drinks. Great little supermarket opposite. In a great locationn5 mins walk from Piskopiano village. My only mild criticism would be that whilst bedding and towels were changed regular and the room was spotless clean on arrival, there wasn’t much cleaning done from day 2 onwards, the floors were never mopped and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned in our 9 night stay, I did it myself in the end. I guess the cleaners are busy but they need to be more thorough during a holiday makers stay. It wouldn’t put me off booking again though.
